John’s Pizzeria of Times Square is a must-visit for pizza lovers. The ambiance is unique, housed in a converted church, creating a lively and cozy atmosphere. The brick-oven pizza was perfectly crispy and flavorful, with fresh ingredients that stood out. We also tried the fried calamari, which was crispy and delicious, and the shrimp marinara, which was hearty and satisfying. Service was efficient despite the busy crowd. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, the quality and experience make it worth it. A great spot for families and tourists alike!

What can I say that I haven't told everyone about this place. This was my second time here, and it never disappoints. Absolutely some of the best pizza and other menu items you will experience on earth. The fact that this used to be a church may be the reason that the food is so good. Maybe it's blessed? Lol. Do not come to NY without coming here to what we call pizza church. FYI, make reservations. This is extremely popular place

We waited about 30 minutes to be sat. The waiting area was jam packed(also this was about 5:30 pm on a Friday). We split our group of 9 up so that we could be sat sooner(we had a 4 year old who was hungry!). I don't know if they tried it, but they sat our two groups next to each other(about 10 minutes apart), so we could still enjoy each other's company. The building interior was warm, festive, and I loved the repurpose of a church! Our server was super friendly. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and marinara to start; it was so good! We ordered an original pie, and it was close to the best pizza I've ever had(and I am picky about pizza). The sauce is delicious, and I loved how crispy the crust was. I am definitely keeping John's on my list for visit again in NYC!

If I could give the atmosphere a higher rating I would. This is by far the most unique place I’ve eaten at in NYC, located in an old church building with the stained glass ceiling still in tact. The pizza is wood fired and delicious. If you have the time I strongly encourage you to stop by and experience this amazing restaurant.

A great NY Pizza Institution. We decided to get dinner at the Pizzeria and we were not disappointed. They have a large two level seating area and we were offered seating downstairs or up. We chose to sit upstairs. Service was very efficient and very friendly. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. The salad choices were great. We picked a starter and a salad. Had the bring out the pizza after we were done with the salad. Really enjoyed our meal here and would absolutely go again and recommend it to others.

This is my go to when visiting New York City. Located in Times Square, the Pizza is always superb! Before heading to the diner to be seated, stop by the bar and have Anthony create an amazing cocktail. The Mango Margarita is divine! It's smooth and tasty and definitely pops with a bang! Then, go for the Spinach Salad and Garlic rolls which melt in your mouth! Delicious! Family friendly atmosphere and authentic. You will not be disappointed

Indeed inside it is very pretty, but the service is rather inexistent. Food was fine, wood oven pizza, pretty classic nothing crazy. Being said, two pizzas, two pasta, got a bill of $200+ !! Obviously they included a mandatory tip of +20% because we were 6 including two kids, and when the bill comes they ask for additional tips on the tips ... Nope not going back, we have better pizza in our neighborhood

I stopped quickly for an off-Broadway pizza during peak tourist season and was promptly seated and served. Order a large margarita pizza. It was perfect. Crisp crust, fresh mozzarella, and just the right amount of sauce. Will stop in again next time I'm in Manhattan.
