The height of the ceilings in the apartments draws attention, giving a spacious and airy feel to the rooms. The accommodations are not only pleasant but also tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the service is exceptionally friendly, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and well taken care of during their stay.

While the J is quite central there is no nearby shopping. 20 min walk to the municipal market- must see. Uber is very cheap and safe for getting around. Being an old hotel it is a little quirky. The shower doesn't drain well due to the flat floor. Lighting in the bed room could be improved. Very quiet but no view from our room. Couldn't get the TV to work but we really were not interested in tv. No usb charging places, bring your own plug. The bed was a little short for me, but I am over 195cm. Breakfast,nice choices, good coffee. Always one English speaking person available 24 hrs. The desk made reservations for us at a nearby restaurant, much appreciated. The J is a mix of old - 1900's with some modern flair.

This is a great place. It's very centrally located just down the road from a lovely square and there are heaps of shops on the street and the fabbest restaurant practically next door (Placa de 5 Sentidos) where you can eat good food while listening to a live classical performance by a violinist or pianist, or both. The hotel is very clean and comfortable -- everything works - and the staff at reception are very helpful and can organise your train trip to Morretes and advise you how to get to Ilha do Mel.|The breakfasts are nice and they have afternoon tea as well with coffee and cakes. The laundry service is good too.

I stayed at the hotel for a few nights and there were some ups and downs. First, the location was very convenient so that was a plus. The included breakfast was also very nice with a good selection of food. The only two complaints are, the receptionist was very pushy trying to sell uninteresting night tour packages, which made the check-in process unpleasant. Second, I decided to have dinner at the hotel's famous restaurant, after waiting 20 minutes in the restaurant without anyone showing up to take my order, I gave up and bought a pizza.

The staff are very proactive and caring. Seems like they are short staffed but they are not afraid to wear many hats as needed. They will go extra mile if needed and they were extremely friendly. The accommodations were great and with a touch of the historical building look, I had a very quaint stay! Great Breakfast! Will totally recommend and stop there again!

This is a wonderful hotel, in a beautifully restored historic building close to the city centre of Curitiba. The breakfast was delicious with fresh exotic fruit, our room was peaceful, clean, spacious and very comfortable, and the service was excellent. We stayed at the hotel for nine days and enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a nice hotel but there were two issues during my 3 night stay. First, the receptionist T. was very pushy trying to sell uninteresting night tour packages, which made the checki in process unpleasant. Second, after waiting 15 minutres in the restaurant without anyone showing up I gave up and bought a pizza next door. Too short staffed, apparently.

The only old and historic hotel in Curitiba with modernised decor. Nice spacious room. The staff is very polite. When we arrived the room assigned for us was with 2 single beds. But, they quickly rectified since there was no room available which we booked online. And upgraded to a different room. Breakfast available from 6-10 am. We got room 211 which was a suite for couples.

The place and the rooms are very nice but the customer service is well below what I would call hospitality or welcoming. They stare at you while you eat as if it is charged per plate or per gram, even. They are not there to make you feel comfortable they are there to make money and they don't hide it. Only reason for the second star is the nice and clean place with pristine spacious rooms. Feeling welcome is always most important.
