Nice, many praying so didn't take loads of photos. I enjoyed this. Theres donations and postcards and a little shop (didnt go in (around the corner) which you need to walk to to see. Theres suppose to be water but it was empty, you could go to a sink and get though.

This temple is famous for its Deity Procession during Chinese New Year. Opposite the temple is a food court with vegetarian options, open as early as 6 am with ready-to-eat dishes, and there’s also a soup stall.
After worship, I noticed a postcard kiosk where you can buy postcards yourself and pay via QR code. There’s a stamping corner to personalize your postcards—a nice souvenir for friends overseas. Nearby, there’s a souvenir shop, and straight ahead are the washrooms.

The Johor Ancient Temple is a beautiful and historic spot right in the heart of Johor Bahru. It’s amazing how this temple has stood the test of time, surrounded now by modern buildings, yet still retaining its charm and cultural significance.
The temple is small but rich in history, with its intricate architecture and well-preserved artifacts. It’s a peaceful place to visit, and you can feel the deep connection it holds for the local community.
Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area, especially if you enjoy exploring cultural landmarks. It’s a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!

Old Chinese Taoist temple with popular Chinese deities.
On the left hand side of the building, it houses the Buddhist’s Guan Yin Bodhisattva ( 观音菩萨); who is an enlightened person ( not a god/ deity ).
He is a Teacher of Compassion, who is often mistakenly called the Goddess of Mercy.
On the right hand side of the building, you will see some artefacts and read about the history of the temple.

A short visit here.
Ancient temple is my favorite to visit everytime i go to new place.
We come here at 11am, so the weather is so hot.
I recommended to come before 10am or after 4am.
This temple is free entry
You only need to donate money as much as you want if you want to pray.
At first, we are a bit confused what to do and no information or official guide you for anything.
Overall, this ancient temple is worth to visit
