This is a very nice place to visit if you would like to learn more about the History of Johor Bahru. It was certainly an Educational and much needed Quiet Break from all the Foods and Mall Visits that JB is famous for.
The Museum itself is not very big, the 1st floor is free for visit and has a Public Restroom and even a Water Dispenser for Travellers. I really appreciate this because this is a great place to take a rest to freshen yourself.
That said, I would recommend to pay RM6.00 for the Entry to support them instead of just using the Restroom/Water Dispenser for free. The Museum itself has 3 more levels above (During my visit, highest level was closed for renovation) Do note there are no Elevators available, you can only go up via Staircase.
The Exhibits Area is Small but do have several Artifacts with some Video Guides and many Historical Explainations that are all available in English / Chinese. It is relatively cleanly maintained and is Air-Conditioned, although it isn't very cold. There were hardly any people around when I was there on a Weekday.
If you don't mind a RM6.00 ticket and is a History Buff looking for an alternate look at Johor Bahru, I do recommend this place. Please note that they are closed on Mondays.
