Jolene Nail Spa

I haven’t had a manicure in a long time and it’s been even longer since I’ve been to Jolene’s. The service was alright. I’ve been using press-on nails primarily so maybe I’m just used to a slightly different look. I think mor most of my nails could have been done a little better/covered a little more. I was expecting to like my nails a little better than I do but they turned out okay. Might try this salon again but I’ll keep my glasses on next time & take a better look at them while I’m still there as opposed to afterwards in my car.

I have been a customer since 2010 and the salon never disappoints. Lots of selections of services and colors. Very progressive in keeping up with trends. Price in line with others in the area, yet provides superior services. Lynn and the staff are personable and welcoming.

This place is simply amazing! Every time I just walk in they accommodate me within minutes every single time! They do a great job! Very personable

Lin, the owner, will go out of her way to please you. Recently my toe nail had an infection. She cleaned it up for me. When I went to my doctor. He said that Lin did an excellent job cleaning my nail for me. She truly knows her stuff. Also, does awesome nails!!

This place is one of the best in town. They will take care of you .I did my pedicure there and I felt great . Value for your money guys

Lisa the owner is such a great woman and a very hard worker. Her staff have the same work ethic and strive to do their best every visit. They constantly are offering new options for color and styles and treat each customer with care and respect. Their pricing is reasonable as well! They are also flexible when it comes to different customer needs. My mother has one hand and they offer her half price. I highly recommend them!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. I had amazing nails done for the Christmas season and couldn’t be happier. I’ve received many compliments. My nail tech did a great job.

I always have a good experience at Jolene. I have been going here for several years now. Very clean, even more so now since covid19.

They are very expensive for what you get. The nail technician was more worried about watching TV than doing a good job on my nails. Not to mention the distractions of his mother speaking with him. The polish job was the worse. WATCH THIS LADIES: they used a trommel on my nails and ground them down so far there is a ledge they can't fix. Let me save your time, go elsewhere.

Waste of my money. The lines were painted crooked and they painted on my skin. The technician smudged my wet nail and and continued painting over it without fixing it. Save your time and money, go somewhere else.

What a waste of money! Worst French pedicure I have ever had. The lines are painted crooked and who paints red polish over the white?!!!!! While I'm getting my toes done a employee is sleeping in the chair next to me, I was asked twice for additional services felt pressured and very rushed. Never again

I stopped in Jolene nails after leaving the spiritual boutique which is in the same plaza. The owner Lin is very nice. I got a manicure they did a great job. I like because it's a very clean nail salon. But my favorite part was they heat up they lotion so it's warm great idea love it! 2 thumbs up

If you have acrylic nails and are looking for a fill be prepared to pay $20! I had my nails done this week and when it came time to pay she said $20. When I questioned this price I was told everything is expensive and prices are going up everywhere for everything . Then I was told that they are not teaching acrylic anymore at nail school and only no chip so they only have 2 people to do acrylic . I was told do not do acrylic at all on weekends . Such a joke ! Why are not the prices listed ? Perhaps because they charge whatever they want ?

All the staff are very good at what they do and how they treat their customers. The no-chip is very long lasting and worth the price. You walk out feeling happier and more confident than when you walked in. I've been going to Jolene's nails for over 2 years and they have yet to disappoint. I recommend 100% !!

My mom goes here a lot because its close to her home. She seems to like it, but maybe I'm spoiled by the city. The cool thing they have is that included paraffin with the manicure...and its 35 for a mani/pedi service though...SUCKS to say the least The tech i had was constantly in conversation with his colleague sitting next to him...talking about how he got drunk last night..making phone calls while i was sitting in the chair..and at one point went to blow his nose and came back without washing his hands....ewwwwwwww just really unprofessional... i dunno i'd rather pay the extra 10 dollars in the city and get great service.

Lynn is the best nail technician I've ever been to. The rest of the staff is also really good and they are so nice. I always feel welcomed when I go and never had a bad experience. This is the only place that the no chip nails actually last on my nails.

I love this salon. Will never go anywhere else. The atmosphere is fun and there is rarely an empty chair but they get you in and do such a quality job in such a quick time. They have a rewards program to earn money off of services as well as a high school & college student discount. Go no where else. The entire staff is so good at what they do. And the owner is Lynn. Not Jolene. That's her daughters name :)

If you like paying for services and being rushed thru the process, this is the place for you. They act they are friendly, but it is a front. They talk in Vietnamese about their customers, I would love to know what they are saying. They reuse all of their tools without sterilizing them between customers. They up-charge for services that other salons include at a better price.

Easy to get to location. Get your coffee next door and come in and be pampered by Lyn or one of her many gracious employees. Alway a great job.

I've been going to this nail salon for almost 8 years now and I LOVE it!! The staff is so hospitable and friendly (especially Lisa)!!! If you're looking for a great, clean, and welcoming salon in the area, this place will not disappoint!! Try it today!!!

Of course the primary reason was location, but my no chip french man/pedi by Lyn makes this my go to nail salon. Easy to get an appointment (including the emergency repair), great massage chair, welcoming/friendly staff. Lin the owner and Lyn who does nails are both professional, kind and talented. I know there are a couple of other younger nail techs (owner's son/daughter) there that have regular clientele as well.

Don't waste your time ! Terrible establishment! No hospitality and manners. Schedule a appointment and wait as if I didn't have one. Beyond rude and to top it off my pedicure was done poorly!! Worst pedicure ever!

I have been here a few times because it's close to home, but I have never been very happy. I won't go back again since my last visit. Here is what happened: I walked in during the middle of the day on a Wednesday wanting a mani/pedi, french for both. I waited just a few minutes; while I was waiting, the employees yelled backed and forth to each other from opposite sides of the salon in a different language. Not so relaxing. This yelling took place throughout my visit - it was so annoying/disruptive. One of the owners did my mani pedi - I tried to be polite and talk to her but, she was very cold and wouldn't even answer my questions. Then she criticized my nail color choice and gave me attitude when I said I didn't want no-chip. Each time I have gone there, I have been pressured into getting no-chip. When she did my manicure, I was moved over to a manicure table that was dirty. It had not been cleaned since the person before me received their service. Then she forgot to file my nails, and when I reminded her, she argued with me. I wasn't trying to be mean, my nails just needed to be filed. She continued to insult my color choice, and then she noticed that I was getting pissed. We finished the manicure in silence. I'll never go back here again. There are nails salons on every corner, so I will go somewhere else from now on. I suggest everyone else do the same if you want a quality manicure without an attitude.

my mom has been taking me to jolene's since i was around 8 years old (i'm 16 now) and i've NEVER been disappointed. because i've been to the nail spa for such a long time, i've had the chance to have every one of the nail techs work on my nails and i've never left unhappy with their work. don't listen to the negative reviews! the prices are fair, the people are nice, the treatment is great, and the fact that they know who their regular clients are by name AND know what they usually come in for makes it 10 times better. definitely worth the visit to stop in. the owners are always welcoming.

I made an appointment for my mother and I for a Mother's Day gift. It was set for 4pm, when I got there, they told me it was for 4:15. It's now 4:30, and they have my mother seated in one of their spa chairs, and no one servicing her. I, on the other hand am sitting here, while 2 other manicures were taken ahead of me. My mothers water for her spa pedicure is cold, no one told her how to work the massage features, either. I made this apt. so we COULD DO THIS TOGETHER! I've come here before, and it's been mediocre, but easy since it's so close. Your tip is pretty much gone because I can't even sit next to my mom! Tell me, why did I make an appointment again??

Jolene Nails is a clean, decent nail salon. I used to go to a place off Schaumburg Rd and there was a layer of dust over everything and just not a clean place whatsoever. The owner(s) of Jolene make it a point to remember their clientele. Whenever I am there, I notice they know the names of the people walking into their establishment. That is a big plus in my book that they take the time to recognize and get to know who comes into their salon. Most times, there is no wait for me to get in for a pedicure.

Best French no chip manicure I have had. Been here a couple of times for no chip, never did a French until today. Will be a repeat customer!

Fast service and high quality work. I've seen several of the technicians and all have done a great job. Never had regular manicures before, but I do now. Stop by to check them out!

I have been a customer here for 5 years. Needless to say I will not return. On one occasion a nail tech cut my toenail wrong causing it to bleed. It never really healed and after a few weeks I went to my podiatrist. After hundreds of dollars later and a painful procedure, I discovered they cut my nail wrong which resulted in the nail growing wrong causing an in grown toenail. Stupid me kept going back but only for manicures. My latest incident involved the owner, Lyn not wanting to accept my membership card for $10 off. She claimed the handwriting was all the same and tried saying I wrote it when I have been going to the same guy for a long time. After she could tell I was clearly pissed she said she would take it "just this once." She has her teenage kids do nails with no professional training and the employees are always either on their cell phone, eating or talking about you in Vietnamese. Stay far, far away from this DUMP. All they care about is money and could care less about their customers. I know SEVERAL people who no longer go here due to either unprofessionalism or just being utter repulsed by this place. Do yourself a favor and go to Miami Nails a few streets over. They are wonderful!!

A good friend of mine told me to try this place after i had a horrible experience at nother nail salon. I walked in on a dead Monday afternoon and asked how much for my nails to be repainted because they were awful. The lady said $20 dollars. I replied "$20 dollars to have my nails repainted?". May i say that these were my natural nails not acrylics. I told her that it was absolutely ridiculous amount for a repaint. I said Thank you and on my way out i said maybe ill try that nail salon across the way. She immediately said wait wait how about we do it for $10 dollars. I accepted it and let her paint away. She was very rude the whole entire time. She cut my skin in numerous places with the nail filer and didnt apologize just kept going. The nails came out bloody and horrible. I told her i will pay no more than $5 for the horrible paint job and the skin she ripped from my nails and that i will not be returning. The place across the street Hot Nails fixed them for $5 dollars which is their normal price for a repaint and the guy apologized for her behavior and hes not even part of the same nail salon. Will never return there ever again.

terrible experience... the owner hires her 3 teenagers to do nails without beeing license. so be carefull!! also they dont know what they are doing. my acrylic nails were done so bad.... very uneven and super thick.. when i asked the lady to file them to make them look even she was getting upset and started screaming!! DO NOT GO THERE.. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!

Stay Away from this place!!! I went to get a white and pink fill, horrible job they did... The owner and workers have the worst attitude, very rude, let's not forget how EXPENSIVE they are...

The service here is terrible! I won't go back ever again. The place is not clean and the people working there eat food and touch their noses around where the pedicures are being done. Plus, I always make appointments, yet when I get there, they ask me to come back another time or wait for a half hour. The last time that happened, I asked for the coupon price that they had going at the time ($3 off of their usual $25 cost) and the manager refused. They could care less about the customers' loyalty, it seems. They just want to make money. I can find plenty of other places to go to that are clean, professional and place an importance on good customer service.

I've been going to this salon ever since it opened and I love them. I get a no chip French manicure and it lasts me over 2 weeks and still looks nice. Lynn and Joe are terrific.

I've been a regular customer here for close to a year. Each visit has resulted in a nice job by the nail tech.. If I want a French I really love the way Jason does the smaller white ends and a perfect under shade of white. The sad news... I wont be Back the owner lady has ruined everything good about her sweet cast of employees and gem of a business. If she is unhappy OMG! My mistake... I requested Jason ONCE. Her need to be nasty to me is juvenile. She made a new points card for my box... I know my dates since I have all receipts. She goes out of her way to say hello and good bye if she is baiting you. If she is angry.. she shuns you or should I say me. This place is too High School for me. I come to relax not be bullied. Yikes!

I've been here 3 times and probably won't go back. It's clean and I never had to wait, but the last time my nails were done by the owner and she was in an incredible hurry to be done with me. Each time I was being pressured to get a no-chip manicure, even though I explained why I didn't want one.

I have been going here for over 5 years and love the service, the people, and my nails. I go every two weeks and won't go anywhere else! Jolene Nails is THE BEST!

I work in Itasca and went here on my lunch break to get a fill. They did a great job & I was back at work on time (which is a first because the other nail salons in the area seemed to take forever). They were very nice & respectful. The place was clean and very modern. I think I found a new nail salon!

I agree with the one that posted that they are only concerned about money and not their customers. I had the no chip color change polish and when I went to show my sister how it changed in hot water, it did nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then while I was having the magnetic no chip done they were telling me how they stand by their work and would not charge to fix a nail, well, I had 5 of my nails peel with that magnetic "no chip"polish in less then one week, I went back and wanted to change to regular no chip because I did not want that to happen again and instead of standing by their work, they wanted to charge me another $30. I would not have been upset if it was just one or two nails but half of them, there's something wrong there. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they squeeze in as many people as they can and make you wait forever after telling you there would only be a 5 minute wait.

Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. Had a gentleman named loung (im sure im spelling it wrong sorry) he was absolutely fantastic. Great jod. The salon was clean and people friendly. I will return.

I will not return. Was a customer for a long time but tonight and last time the tech was so rude. Last time she was more interested in the tv and my no chip lasted 4 days! Tonight same rude tech and my pedicure looks horrible already! Too bad cause it's in my neighborhood. Use to be good- don't know if it is worth my time to go back for them to fix the slop job!

I've been here a bunch of times and had great no-chip manicures done. Last night was the worst experience I've had. My no-chip manicure and pedicure took almost 2 hours and I ended up leaving with no nail polish on my hands because the color I chose was a bad bottle and it kept pooling to the center. They weren't able to fix it so they ended up just taking it off. No aplogies or credits given for the time/money spent. Left a bad taste in my mouth after being a pretty loyal customer.

I will not return to this spa. Although, the manicure was good they ARE SO RUDE. The daughter of the owner was the most unfriendly person I have ever enountered Very poor social skills and cannot imagine why she is working with the public. She had a frown face and an attitude of annoyance the entire time I was there. It made for a very uncomfortable hour as I felt somehow that I was inconveniencing her. The staff spoke in another language yelling at each other and then laughing throughout my visit. I did leave her a 15% tip anyway and she did not even say thank you. Take your money somewhere else.

RUDE! The owner, Lyn, is very unprofessional and completely lacks customer service skills. I will not be going back there ever again. My no chip manicure was chipped in less than 24 hours. When I went there to get the nail fixed, I was told to come back another day because they were too busy. No one bothered to even look at the nail or make an effort to help. I paid $85 for a pedicure and manicure, not including generous tips, and this is how I am I am treated? This was not the first time that Lyn has been condescending to me. There is no place for an attitude like hers in such a competitive market. Customers deserve better. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have been a customer for over 2 years, and I got tired of the owner's (Lynn) crabby demeanor. She does do a good job, but she hardly talks to you at all (she talks back and forth to the other workers in their native language) which I think is very rude! The worker turnover is constant, as I think she would be very hard to work for!! She cut my cuticles a couple of times (drew blood) and never apologized and blamed me for "moving"! Yes, the place is very clean, but I got tired of her attitude and she would be on her cell phone while doing my nails, again, very rude!! I found a new nail salon that is much closer to my house, and the people that work there are friendlier!

If I were able to choose ZERO stars, I would have. This was the WORST experience we have ever had at any nail salon or any business in general. The entire place truly sucks (minus the color choices - Thanks OPI and Essie!). The owner was so rude and lazy. She rushed through our nails and had the worst attitude ever. My friend and I made an appointment and we were both on time, if not early. I was taken right away for my fill, but my friend waited for about 10 minutes for her manicure. This typically wouldn't be a problem, but the girl at the front (I'm assuming the owner) told my friend she was late (which she wasn't) and that she can sit at the nail station as soon as the girl was ready for her. SHE WASN'T EVEN READY FOR HER YET, AND SHE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL MY FRIEND SHE WAS LATE!!! In the meantime, while I was getting my fill, she (the owner at front station) rushed through my nails in 15 minutes. When she was "done" shaping my nails, she asked if they were good. THEY WERE TERRIBLE, BUMPY AND UNEVEN. I asked her to fix them, and she grabbed my fingers with attitude and quickly filed each one again. Even though there were still a couple of slanted nails, I gave up and washed my hands. THEN, when she polished them, she asked if they looked good. THERE WAS POLISH ALLLL OVVVERRR MY SKINNN!!! so, I said "NO! Can you get the polish off my skin please??". She rushed through this as well. I went to let my nails dry with my friend sitting beside me, and we both promised we would NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN....EVER! If she was in a rush to drop a deuce, she should have just said so. CTO's...
