Jolly Roger Amusement Park

We had a great time at Jolly Roger’s and would definitely recommend it for families visiting Ocean City! The rides were fun, especially for younger kids, and the park had a good mix of attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was lively and clean. That said, a few things could be better. Some areas felt a bit dated and could use a refresh, and the food options were overpriced. Also, the wait times for certain rides got pretty long by mid-afternoon. Still, overall it was a fun day and worth the visit. Just go early and bring your patience!

I can’t imagine the wear and tear this place endures. Which is why $64/person I felt was more than fair. Until I got inside. Mold everywhere, the chairs the pull ropes for baby area. the kids hair has flicks of blue paint all through it I’m assuming from the chipping paint everywhere. Broken tiles & concrete surround on all of the water attractions. Plenty of food selection & lifeguards seemed attentive. But man, some off season attention is badly needed. Sad.

It was OK. Make sure that you buy tickets before you get to the park or else you will pay full price. We didn’t have much right for the older kids besides the wildcat and the go karts other than that the kids had a great time. There was a lot of parking we didn’t purchase food because we just had dinner but overall, it was a good experience the only issue was I wish they more rides for older kids. We’re gonna try to go to the pier to see what that one looks like.

The amusement park was great on 30th street. The staff was friendly and it was well operated. Now the jolly roger on the pier was a whole different story. They continued to operate in the rain until the arcade flooded and we were trapped inside. I got stuck on a ride as it poured and they let the ride finish out. I was slipping in my seat and i have bruises all over my arms from trying to get loose when the operator finally brought the ride down they ran away because of the rain and me and my son had to pull ourselves out of the ride! Very unprofessional and scary!

My little ones love jolly Rogers splash world. And we also attended Jolly Roger Amusement Park. Splash world has a ticket deal during the hours 3pm-6pm. The amusement park has a ticket deal during 7pm-11pm. Seating and lockers are available throughout. Lockers are $10.00 and up. vendors are selling hotdogs, fries, funnel cake, cotton candy, burgers, hamburgers, etc. this is surely a day trip and the entire the family will absolutely love it.

A very fun park with games for all ages. I had a great time with the activities. The staff was helpful.

We come to Jolly Roger a few times a year with our daughter, and the 30th Street location is by far our favorite. The rides might be a little older, but the people and the overall vibe here more than make up for it. The staff is amazing; super friendly and so good with kids. It really feels like a family-oriented place. From the guy who sword fights with the kids at the whale ride to “King” at the Barracuda ride, everyone goes out of their way to make it fun. Our daughter looks forward to seeing King every year; she gets so excited when she spots him! He’s always so kind, fun, and engaging with the kids. One thing we always notice is how clean this location is. You constantly see team members walking around tidying up and keeping everything neat. It really makes a difference and shows they care about the place. Yes, it’s their job; but you can tell they actually enjoy what they do. This spot is all about families, and we’re so grateful for the memories we’ve made here. Can’t wait to come back again!

this is one of the best amusement park for families and friends. We can go anytime of the year, particularly the best in the summer. The ticket is reasonable if you go about 3 PM so instead of the morning or the evening. The ticket is usually $ 25 per person. A lot of free parking right next to their event you can go multiple places from there great hotels around and very close to the Broadwalk in Ocean City. No need to scare for anything.

Our family has made Jolly Roger amusement park a staple of our annual ocean city md trip for the past decade and one part in particular we never miss is the Circus Smile show. It is the highlight of our trip seeing what has changed and what acts they have added. It doesn't matter whether it's your first or in our case 15th time seeing the show, it always is amazing, fun and entertaining. I hope they bring them back next year! We also love the fact that the rides are pay to play, so we don't have to spend an entire admission for the day, we come back every night and do a few rides a games. Our boys love doing the race track too and were happy to find they can now drive go karts themselves. Can't wait to be back next year!

My review is about the jungle golf . I love it! I totally think that the easy shots aren't as easy as they look, though, it's very challenging! It is very pretty, too!

NOTE: this review is only describing the mini-golf portion of Jolly Roger. Jolly Roger offers the best deal of any mini-golf venue in Ocean City, with unlimited play before 5:00 p.m. on both of its courses for only $11. The courses are well maintained and both have fun themes to them -- jungle and pirate. The jungle course was by far my favorite of the two, as it had more obstacles, unique hole designs, and chances to get holes-in-one. I'd come back to play again, plus the value you get here is unmatched!

We didn't spend much time at the Amusement park, but we had a great time. We met some very interesting people (a sweet lady with an albino bunny) and played putt putt. The course was nice and we had a relaxing evening. Bathrooms were not very clean. Good value for entertainment

We visit this amusement park every summer during our visit to OC. I haven't been to the other location but My GrandGirls love it! "The Whale Guy" is the BEST! I wish the rest of the staff was like him then I would have gave them 5 stars. My GrandGirls are 4 and 5yrs old so I love that they have quite a few rides they enjoy! We normally go to this park at 8pm after a beach day. My Granddaughters love the Free Circus show! The circus show at night is Awesome! The Hostess of the show is "The Beyoncé of the show! She changes her outfit like several times during the show. We are alway waiting to see what she will wear next! Circus show is a must see, you won't be disappointed. Some of the Park Staff need more customer service training they are not mean but at an amusement park you want to see fun smiles and more engagement with the kids to make the ride experiences more welcoming. I think my granddaughters get on the "The Whale Guys ride like 4 times because he is so much fun! The cost is $30ish for unlimited rides. So we let the girls just ride whatever they want again and again. We normally don't get food. We one get juices for the girls

There are few amusement parks in ocean city but this one was pretty close to boardwalk. We came here just for the slingshot but my kids started to play all games . We spent about 150$ for 300 points which was very very expensive . 300 points goes away within 15-30 mins . Games are good but tooooo expensive . Will never go back for the pricing they have . Customer service isn't that good . My kids liked the slingshot though. Should have just finished that and walked away .

A great place to take the kids! Our daughter had so much fun playing here. She rode rides and we all played mini-golf here, which was an 18 hole treasure hunt course! Affordable too! From 7-11pm, you can buy a wristband for $33/pp and ride unlimited rides. Good deal because our daughter rode without the worry of running out of their point system they have ( if you don't want to buy the wristbands.) Bonus for us was this place was close to our hotel so we were in walking distance too.

We've only tried the mini golf which was included in the boardwalk ride bracelet purchase. We were pleasantly surprised! Included 18 holes. Not challenging therefore perfect for kids. Very cute and well decorated!

When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the pirate ship ride making an annoying ahh creaking noise. My family bought credits and went to look around, but the only ride besides a lame ahh dragon roller coaster that didn't look completely run-down was the bumper cars, and only 3 of them even worked. The guy running the bumper cars even told us to go to the Pier location instead of this dump. If you want to go to a Jolly Roger, I'd recommend taking his advice.

Splash mountain water park at Jolly Roger is absolutely disgusting! As much money as it cost to get in ($50 per person ages 3+) it should be kept up to date. There were weird stains on the pool tubes, and mold on the chairs and the pools are full of sand.

We visited Ocean City in late August 2020. We had originally had a trip to Disney World and a Disney Cruise planned, but due to COVID that was all canceled. The condo we rented in OC was across the street from Jolly Roger Amusement Park so there was no way we could skip it with the kids seeing it everyday. I purchased one of their ticket packages which was about $100. This provided enough tickets to use it two nights at Jolly Roger and another night at the boardwalk. My 4 year old and 7 year old enjoyed all of the smaller rollercoasters and had a blast on the flat rides. However, Jolly Roger's COVID cleanliness and protocols left much to be desired. There was no social distancing on rides, guests were not required to sanitize their hands before or after the rides (although sanitizer was provided at stations throughout the amusement park), and face masks were optional and very few guests were wearing them. We have Season Passes for Six Flags and have visited Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor over a dozen times in 2020 during the pandemic. Six Flags spaces guests out on their rides, enforces mask wearing, and requires hand sanitizing before certain rides. So to see none of that at Jolly Roger was concerning and there were many rides we had to skip due to the lack of concern by the other guests or staff members.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City Maryland. The park is located off the boardwalk from the beach. This park has over 15 amusement park rides (Not including the Jolly Roger park from the boardwalk) and a water park. Prices can range from $10.00-$80.00 depending on if you are buying individual tickets for the rides or a wristband for all the rides. They do I have combo passes for the water park and Speedworld together. They also have a Go-Kart place called Speedworld. Many go-karts tracks and a new zipline is at Speedworld which is right next door. This location is on 30th street in ocean city Maryland. We did not do the water park or Speedworld. This is just for the amusement park on 30th street. As soon you drive up to the park. You see a bunch of rides and mini golf courses with go-karts and a water park. There is so much to do. There is parking in front and more towards the back. The parking lot is only one way so you shouldn't have a problem following the signs to the back if you can't park in the front. Parking is free for guest. As you walk towards the park, you see a big entrance with pirate theme. You have customer service building and a some ticket booths. You go up to the ticket booth and get your tickets or wristbands. You walk to the left and you see many rides, carnival games and food places. There is a couple more rides in the back which is the Ferris Wheel and the roller coasters. They have three roller coasters. Wacky Worm, The Barracuda, and WildCat. Wacky Worm is more for kids and the other two roller coasters is more for adults/family. We only rode the wildcat coaster and Barracude. Which is all the way in the back of the park. The wildcat stands pretty tall and can be seen through the whole park. It's a ok park but not the best. The park was clean and didn't even seem a piece of trash on the floor. The bathrooms was cleaned during our visit. They do make sure that the park is clean and nice for their guests. We do go on a weekday which wasn't really too busy. We did try the food. We got the bacon hotdog. It was ok, nothing really to special. To me, it was more like something you would make at home but it was still good. The staff was so nice and friendly. They even had a smile on their face. They welcoming guest to Jolly Roger park and that is amazing to see. I do feel like the ride operators should be more engaging though. They are the key and butter of the park. They didn't seem like it but hey, That's just the atmosphere of the rides apartment. To me, the park seem more like a kids/family park. There isn't enough thrill rides for thrill seekers or adults. They have wildcat and Barracude but those seem more like family coasters as well. I just feel like the park need more thrill rides. I understand that they are kinda old school park and landlocked but it just didn't seem fun to me like other parks or like Trimper park which is only a couple streets down from Jolly Roger Park. They have more modern and more thrilling rides for the whole family and have more of a selection for everyone and not just a family selection. I would recommend adding more rides if they can to help more options for the whole family to play and enjoy the park even more. It just feels more like the park is there and not invested into like other parks but that's just my opinion. Do we recommend Jolly Roger Amusement Park on 30th street. Yes and no if that make sense. Yes because if you have a family and kids ages between 3-12 then yes because kids would love this park as there is many things to do for them but anyone older than that I wouldn't recommend. Definitely if you are a couple like we was. It just kinda was boring and we didn't feel the excitement like you would in any other amusement park that you should during your visit. We recommend for older crowds to go to Trimper park down the road or even the boardwalk Jolly Roger Park, since there is more thrilling rides than this one on the 30th street. We also going on a weekend if you do decide to go because weekends are probably busier. Overall 3.9/5

Jungle mini golf was doggone lame and basic! I had a run-in with the diminutive/little owner or manager of the business who had his dog off-leash. The dog came running full-speed toward my 6 year old -- who's still getting comfortable with dogs as we don't own one-- and downright scared him. When I mentioned to the guy he should consider putting his dog on a leash (which is the law in Ocean City) instead of just acknowledging the fact that I was right, he proceeded to mouth off (and even had the nerve to threaten to refund our money and kick my family off the property). What a great start to our visit! Re: the course, as other reviews have mentioned, this course is pretty basic and not that challenging. Most holes are just a straight shot through an obstacle. Save your money and go elsewhere. There are too many other/better options to choose from besides this place!

Worst amusement park we have ever been to. Everything was broken. Tickets were way too expensive for what little there was. Staff is rude. No drinks or food because again everything is broken. Rides are your basic fair rides. Would not recommend.

Staff literally smoking around kids and my pregnant wife. Disgusting. And I paid money for this experience. So disappointed. I don't believe we will be coming back. 3 wristbands for $90 so I can smell second hand smoke. What a garbage individual to expose others to cancer like that. I expect better. The boardwalk is smoke free and the beach has a smoking section way in the back away from families. OCMD has done a lot of work in the past 10 years to make this place more family friendly... So I'd expect an amusement park which caters to children and families to have their staff understand that people do not want to smell smoke that was inside of you. It's really a shame because most of the staff members were working so hard to make every ride super fun for the kids. The guy running the whales gave out foam swords to everyone on the ride and had a battle with them as they spun around, whistle in the mouth... Epic battle vibes giving kids lifelong memories as he mimicked getting stabbed and dancing around... Later the ride was more full and he had a whole dance choreographed since he didn't have enough foam swords for everyone. It's truly awful to think that guy is probably paid the same amount per hour as the dude blowing smoke across the park.

i am so glad my family and i did not but tickets before looking around because most of the rides were closed. most of the rides however were tailored towards children anyways. i wanted to ride the slingshot but after finding out that it was 35$ a person i decided not to. not sure it is worth it if you are over the age of 16.

I attended the Speedworld attraction this past Thursday while at Jolly Roger. I purchased a ride pass for the go karts and all was going well. Once my wait in line was over, I stepped forward and went to scan my card I was given when I paid for the ride pass. I asked one of the employees nearby if it had gone through. He looked at me, said nothing, and shook his head, looking almost intimidatingly at me. I scanned it, and again, asked if it gone had through. Same thing. At this point I asked if I was scanning it wrong or if he could help me. He said nothing, looking angry. Then as I helplessly tried to scan it by myself, he raised his voice and says "Don't you know how to scan a card?" (imagine it in an aggressive way, really irked me), I reply with "I guess not." He then tells me to just get out and leave. I did not come here to pick a fight, and so I do as I was told. At this point, it's been quite some time, and I need to hurry up and go as this was my last day. So, before I leave, I go to the desk where I purchased the ride pass and explain my situation about how it would not scan and the man told me to get out. I told them that I hated to do it, but that I would like my money back as I could not ride the ride I had paid for. They explained there was no refunds, I told them I understood but this was a unique situation. They then said the card I purchased never expires and I can come back anytime and use it. At this point I up and left as I was frustrated and needed to hurry up. All in all, the park SEEMED fine, but I never got to find out and unfortunately do not think I will be returning due to the rude employee at the ride and the inability to receive my funds that I put towards a ride I was not even allowed to ride. TLDR- I bought a pass for a ride and then was mocked by an employee for not being able to scan by card and was then told to leave. I did so and did not receive any red rubs despite not riding the ride I paid for. Disappointed and frustrated.

We had a great time at Jolly Roger Amusement park and Speedworld. To piggyback on the previous reviewer, yes this is intended for families. But what else would one expect. It is geared towards families/tourists visiting in the area. This is not a big box, high thrill amusement like Sid Flags or Busch Gardens. That said, there is something for everyone. We traveled with our children ages 3, 6, 12 & 17 and each of them had a great time. Us parents did too. There is such a variety of rides and fun things to do. We intend to visit again this summer. The only disappointment was the staff working at the kiddie track at Speedworld on Saturday, July 15. She was EXTREMELY rude and acted like she did not want to be bothered when we asked her a question about the entrance. She rolled her eyes and turned her back on us more than once. I later realized she was talking on her cell phone the entire time while operating the rides. Highly unprofessional and likely not allowed either. It's very disparaging when people when in the service business, yet don't know how to engage people. I hope management sees this so she can be reprimanded/educated on how to be more professional and friendly - ESPECIALLY for someone operating the kiddie track for children 5 and under. This was our first time here and it put a damper on the visit. Other than that though, all the other staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. It was a great family trip, and we hope to return soon!

I would like someone from management to contact me. I attempted to call the phone number but the line is not accepting voicemails. I got paint on myself, my phone case and swim clothes from a section of the pool that an employee later told me was closed.

Come here on weekdays for 30th St from 2 to 6pm or the Pier from 1 to 5pm and get an unlimited wristband and NO lines at all. And all rides are open.

Good little selection of activities and rides for varying ages (I have a 7 year old and a 2 year old and both had a blast). Special shout out to the whale ride guy who was like a big kid himself and AMAZING with the kids.

Rides/attractions: as an adult, I thought that the rides were awesome. There was a good variety for all ages. I would say though that there isn't a lot of variety for children under the age of 5. I went to the park with a 2 year old and there was only one section that he could run around on his own. My only complaint would be that the signs/lines for rides are not clear. Some of them just have stairs with no sign. We ended up walking up the wrong staircase and got on the wrong ride and by the time we noticed it was too late to back out and we had to just go on that one. There were also times where we wanted to go on a ride but couldn't because we couldn't find the right path. The water didn't seem the cleanest in certain areas/rides but nothing too bad. Overall it was a fun experience, but I wish the place had a little more organization. Service: the service was pretty standard for a water park. No one was rude or "negative" towards me or the group I came with but no one really blew me away in service. If that makes any sense hahah. Food: I didn't eat much there, but I did have their nachos which were just regular nachos. My boyfriend ate 2 cheeseburgers, which he said weren't the best but "got the job done." From what I saw, the park has a lot of eating spots.

I'm not a kid anymore, so this was more depressing than fun. We did the minigolf, which was okay. Some (but not a lot of) areas of covering so you can get out of the sun. In terms of rides, a lot weren't in operation when we went, either closed for repairs or just not enough people to man them. A lot of the kiddie stuff was available, and the roller coaster as well. There are also carnival games where you can win prizes, and those folks were the absolute nicest. In terms of food, it's pretty expensive. You can get a sad hot dog or a $5 lemonade. There's also a Dippin Dots stand. And because this is also a water park, the bathroom floors are soaked and slippery.

We had just gone to the old pro golf before and then came to this mini golf course because it looked more appealing but it wasn't as fun had less holes for the same price it very underwhelming

The place to go if you want to catch Covid-19. No social distancing at all, in fact, employees are encouraging people to keep the lines moving rather than let them space out. Employees are either not required to wear masks or its just not enforced so many of them don't. Go-karts and probably other rides are not wiped down between uses. Bathrooms are a disaster. Should I keep going? This place should be shut down.

Fair prices and really good staff. "Whale Guy" is amazing and the folks running the games are exceptionally kind to the little ones. One of the few amusement parks where you don't feel like you're getting got.

The Speedway is all a big scam. They set the expectation that your child will be able to experience 6 tracks if they are above 54 inches. I recommend not going at all unless your child is 58 inches or does not mind riding with an adult the entire day. My son who is 56 inches was allowed to enter the Speedworld course, strap in to his kart only to be told he couldn't ride and was yelled at by the attendant. The attendant said the signs were wrong and my son would have to ride with an adult. We got a full refund for the $200 in passes we bought.

Every year during Jeep week this is a must stop place. My kids love this place they get on all the rides and leave happy and knocked out from all the excitement. They have plenty of rides suitable for all ages. If your in the area check this spot out. Unlimited passes are $28 and they start at 7 till closing.

This location is a rip off. The Staff totally disappointed us when we asked about their various rides and asked to explain the pricing and point system. The Staff Member helping us said she didnt know and didnt ask her Teammates to help assist. If we had bought a wrist band for rides without looking at the place, we would have immediately asked for a refund. Rides in the park were mainly fo kids and not adults (there were probably 3-4 adult rides). Played some of the games as a supplemental activity. The Staff Members for the games we played changed the price or the games and then when we win they changed the prize selection. What a rip off. Don't come to the place. It is a major disappointment and waste of gas.

My family and I went yesterday. Barely anything was open and most staff didn't say a word to us and seemed upset they had to work. My kids had an ok time considering. I was never offered a special pass for another visit like some reviews state. I don't think you should pay full price when half the park is closed down. At least post on the website that most rides, etc. are closed before people buy tickets. A free pass for another visit doesn't help when most families are there on a short vacation.

Went to the pier for the night arm bands 7pm-11pm. Takes about 20-30 minutes to get arm bands because the lines are so long. Got to the fist ride around 7:30 the Kraken. Three of the seats were broke. By the time we got through the line and on/off it was 8:10pm. After that there wasn't much issues. Lines for the better rides are long and average 10-15 minute wait. By 11:00pm we hit all 12 rides and went on the coaster a few times. Armbands are worth the money if you plan on going on the better rides more than once.

My family and I learned a $123 lesson today. Dont waste your time or money if you wear glasses to see. "No eyewear of any kind including goggles..." How am I to enjoy a water park AND supervise my children without glasses? When I tried to assist my 4yr old up the steps, so that he may use a waterside, the life guards up held this rule, bringing exclusivity to the park for only those with uncorrected 20/20 vision!? I wonder what special interest groups would think of this exclusivity in today's day and age? #AAO The cashier was more than happy to collect $40.99x3 for my family and I, mentioned nothing of the rules as he starred my wife and I in our eyes, through our corrective lenses. I'm leaving this review for the millions that wear corrective lenses. This is not the water park for you!

If you have a baby, read!!! Jolly Roger is a lot of fun, whether on the pier or Coastal Highway. I have one MAJOR complaint however, it absolutely sickens me that they charge FULL PRICE, same exact price for my 18 month old to go on a Ferris wheel as my husband and I. We have an 8 year old too, who I have no problem paying full price for, as he is 8 and can enjoy and remember the rides. But seriously, a baby not even 2 years old? Jolly Roger really needs to rethink this, if we didn't have to pay full price for him, we probably would have gone multiple times during our vacation, but the fact we do has kept us from going back again. Sickening. And they didn't charge for him at the water park, so why at the amusement park? Update: we went to amusement park yesterday because I found buy one get one free wrist band coupons, so the 4 of us came to 46.00. This was only from 2-6 at main location or 1-5 at pier. You have to buy another wrist band for night rides which is 26.99 for everyone. The rides are absolute crap. 3/4s of the rides are for small children, my 7 year old was to mature to ride. They are old, broken, need replacing. Our carnival that comes to visit our town once a year has better rides. They need to do a complete overhaul of this park. And the one descent ride for older kids, the roller coaster you can only go on 2 times with the wrist band. Jolly Roger should be ASHAMED of themselves. Obviously what they are doing is not working because the only positive thing from all this, there are no lines. They really need to rethink their pricing and marketing strategies. The water park is awesome, priced decently, and very enjoyable, im thinking 2 separate people must be running each because the water park is Like a whole different world, even though right next to the amusement rides.

My review is of the Jungle Golf at this location. I played here last week and it was just alright. A few of the issues: 1. Of the 18 holes, about half were super easy and uncreative. The hole was just straight across from where you put from, with an obstacle in the middle blocking your line of sight. 2. Pretty overgrown. If someone would take just two hours to go through there with a hedge trimmer, it would be better. Plants protruding into the walkway and course at multiple spots. I understand it's "Jungle Golf", but someone just clearly isn't taking care of the course. 3. Greens aren't kept clean. See picture of hole 15 and all the debris from plants/trees. 4. All of the holes are oddly shallow to the point where the ball will literally bounce out of the hole sometimes. Never experienced this at any other course. My favorite Ocean City mini golf is the indoor Safari Village at 136th Street, owned by Old Pro Golf. Their outdoor pirate themed course (also at 136th Street) is decent as well.

I'm giving Dustin, who was working the whale ride during the 2pm hour on 8/26, nine million stars for making both kids and parents alike breakdown in laughter - He was amazing!! The rest of our trip? A-OK - we would certainly go again. The afternoon special (wristband plus $2 coupon) worked like a charm - our kids LOVED riding everything with no restrictions from mom and dad on how many rides they can go on. Without a band, the rides get pricey. The adults split a 90 point pass and only got to go on 2 -3 rides each. Most of the staff was ok (no one was Dustin-level. Dustin, you set the bar so high!!!). Some were a little high and mighty. We had no issues getting on rides when my toddler ripped off his band, I just showed them the band (and if they really cared it was dated the same as the other three kids in our party, time stamp to a tee), but our last ride- the operator got nasty with me! We were in the back of the park and he said we had to go up front and have it re-attached. I explained he was three and didn't want to wear it and this was our last ride. Plus, he already let him in the car - he wasn't getting out without a HUGE tantrum. Eventually he saw it my way, but really?! I get it, there are thefts, and scammers, etc. but we could prove every piece of it! UGH!

Family of five spent almost $44 on what looked to be a nice challenging course. Right away realized each "tee" doesn't allow you to stand on the green as they are very narrow. You must balance on bricks lining the course or stand too far over to be flat footed in the dirt or grass etc. At the third hole found it to be very dark, with no lighting and landscaping totally overgrowing the paths-this was a common issue throughout the course. Found trash throughout-including a condom wrapper in the pond. Their crocodile was likely once a very cool piece but it is now rotting and peeling and needs maintenance badly. Another rock formation is falling apart with fiberglass or something hanging from the ceiling. Otherwise, course was very challenging-but needs some maintenance. On a side note-on our way out of the park saw bags of onions and boxes of potatoes just sitting on the deck/ground outside the one concessions stand. Not ok in my book. I did consider stopping by the business office to report all this but at 9:30 on a Tuesday night, figured it would not be someone who would handle these things-hope the business reads these.

This location on Philadelphia Avenue is the best for kids under 9, as compared to the location at the pier, on the boardwalk. The good part is that tickets are interchangeable between both locations, if you decide to venture between parks. What I appreciate about Jolly Roger is that they offer an unlimited pass! This is hands down the best deal so you don't have to figure out what rides your child would like vs. how many tickets to buy. During the day, the unlimited pass is $23.99 and the nighttime is $27.99. Having said that, I would recommend visiting Jolly Roger in the evening, when the sun has gone down and the crowds are a bit less (at least at this location, not the pier). Another thing I appreciated about Jolly Roger is that they offer rain checks! If it rains and they shut down the park, you can go to the cashier or guest services to obtain your rain check to come back to the park anytime for free! I took advantage of this as it down poured during our visit one evening, when I had purchased unlimited passes for my daughters. They had rode on at least 8+ rides when they closed the park. So I got our rain check, and we went back the next day, honoring our unlimited pass, and had a blast! Another great feature is they have a few shows during park hours such as the circus, pirate show etc. These shows are free with park admission. I highly recommend you visit Jolly Roger, again at this location, if you have children under 9. Kid friendly and they are able to ride by themselves which is great so you don't have to pay for more tickets as a parent. There's a rope course and zip line which my kids absolutely loved!! A few things I would critique are: the snack stands sprinkled throughout the park are cash only, which is a bit inconvenient. However the main concession stand does take credit cards with a minimum purchase amount. Lastly, what I don't understand is that even if you've purchased the unlimited pass, they give you a wristband to wear. However they also give you a card that you have to hand to the ride attendant to scan each time you go on a ride. You will not get on the ride without scanning your card. This is quite inconvenient and doesn't make sense, if you're already wearing a wristband you have to scan a card as well!? Seems redundant. I understand that these cards are given to participants in lieu of tickets which I appreciate because they create waste of paper. But the wrist band coupled with the card??? Nonsense. Also if there's a glitch in the system and your card doesn't scan, you have to walk all the way to guest services at the front of the park to have it reactivated. They will not let you on the ride if it doesn't scan, regardless. I can appreciate that but it's still highly inconvenient especially if you have multiple children with you or a large group. We will visit this location again for sure during our next visit to OCMD.

Great little park, kids had a good time. They put on free shows; there's a circus show and a pirate show. The rides are ideal for the kids. Its small, but the employees are nice, the property is well maintained. Saved our July 4th, there were no fireworks but this place was open and my kids enjoyed themselves. The bracelet is the best deal.

We went Labor Day weekend and there were no lines. Cute area for children, but a bit over priced. Limited rides, maybe 10 total.

My girlfriend and I spent a day here at the water park and go cart track. We really enjoyed it, had tons of fun. There are a good number of slides and the lazy river was nice. The ride that drops you straight down in the tube was awesome. We tried the wave pool but got tired of waiting on waves, the pricing is a little high, 10$ for a walking taco. Also a Band aid in the pool floating.

Took my kids (5 & 2) there this afternoon. There were no lines for hardly anything so they got on right away which was great. The whale guy was awesome! He made the ride so fun for the kids. The guy running the blue roller coaster was the best! His name was Cason and he was the nicest, funniest, helper there. He talked me into going on the ride with the rest of my family and I hate rides lol! I'm glad I did it was fun. He deserves a bonus or something. Also there was an English guy at one of the game booths that was awesome and let both of my girls win prizes. If you have young kids you know how that can be when 1 wins something and the other doesn't lol. The guy at the big slide was a real dick though. He was so rude to my kids. They got to the top and went down before he had a chance to put the bag thing down. So I told them to go back up and wait for him to put the thing down to slide on. He yelled at them halfway up the stairs and made them turn around and walk back down so he could walk over and scan our ticket card, like he couldn't have scanned it after they got to the top or have been nicer about it. So they were shaking and trying not to cry as they were walking back down with him. Which in my opinion is more dangerous than going down without the bag, as he screamed he was responsible for anything happening and going down regularly is so dangerous. He was ridiculously rude and said he was going to ban them from the slide lol like wtf. He shouldn't be working around children.

A nice park but severely over priced! Bush Gardens would be cheaper and all inclusive. Because they are the nearest amusement park in the area, I feel they can charge the prices they do. I wish the prices were lower for local residents with a Maryland drivers license. I do believe there is a military discount. I really enjoyed myself the prices and lack of quality food is the major downer for me.

I have to say, this was a very clean park. There was plenty for my kids (ages 6, 5, and almost 3) to ride on and they had a ball. There was no wait for any of the rides (especially awesome as I have two children with Autism so waiting can twice as hard) and the thing I was most impressed with was how engaged the ride operators were. They would elbow bump, they'd cheer or wave at the kids going by, went out of their way to make giving safety directions fun. As a parent, this was really heart warming to see. We went the second to the last week of August so you KNOW these guys must be tired after a long summer season yet they were so pleasant and friendly. Really awesome to see. Thanks Jolly Roger!

The whale guy and the the whale ride for kids is the best. He entertained my kids while on the ride and even made them smile when they were crying . If all they had was the whale guy, I would give them 5 stars and there is many more things to do. Come for the whale guy stay for everything else !!!!!!!!!!

Awful. We brought our nearly 7 yr old kid here, hes 44 inches or so tall, so we had to pay full price. he was SO excited. We spent near $27 on tickets and he couldn't ride barely any of the rides due to their overly stringent height policies. We live near coney island and many other parks and these rides are no different than the ones he's been allowed to ride since 2 yrs ago. The money was wasted. We rode on the bumper cars that sucked, mine was broken- and 2 other toddler style rides that my son found boring. In short, we paid full for 1/4th the options. Never again.

My kids had a fantastic time here. Arm bands were very reasonable at around 20$ each for all the rides they could ride. My oldest did the sling shot which cost extra but she loved it. I love riding the ferris wheel and being able to see the ocean and all the rides from the top. There are plenty of games and the game employees were not overly pushy. Will continue to go back!

This place was a lot of fun and SOME of the workers are nice. The English guy at the water game was awesome and the guy at the blue roller coaster was so nice too. BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND the slide at this establishment. The guy was extremely rude and should not be allowed around children. He was so mean to the kids and adults. Do not let your kids around him alone because if he can be so mean to children in front of their parents I can only imagine how he is when they aren't there. Also the guys at the yellow roller coaster by the Ferris wheel were very nice and good with the kids.

We only played mini-golf. It was a great deal even with the both courses needing work. We payed 8.99 per person. It was unlimited rounds of mini golf at Safari and Treasure golf courses from 11am to 4pm. We only played one round at each but that was all we wanted to do. Both courses were nothing special and really needed a lot of loving care, but it made our 10 year old daughter happy. She did really well and it gave her more confidence in her mini golf skills. It was the first time she won a round. If you have time to fill and you like mini golf, this is the place to go for a bargain. While it did need some upgrades, we had none of the problems others talked about.
