I decided to give Jolly’s Indian Bistro a try because of their “Buy One Get One Free” offer. Unfortunately, I regret not being more skeptical. The food was a major letdown.
The mutton rogan josh, supposedly a top dish, was so salty and spicy it was practically inedible. The rice was sticky, yellow, and clumpy—absolutely unappetizing. To make matters worse, they served naan in a paper bag instead of wrapping it in aluminum foil. What kind of presentation is that?
Ironically, the random tiny box of chickpeas they threw in was the only remotely decent part of the meal, and it wasn’t even the main focus.
Seriously, tone down the salt. Over-seasoning can ruin dishes and, frankly, could be dangerous for customers’ health.

My household is obsessed with the Butter Chicken dinner special here! We order it at least once a week, sometimes twice when working evenings. Amazing deal for the tastiest meal, complete with naan bread included. Saw a few negative reviews but I'm happy to report that Jolly's has never disappointed us! The chicken is always tender, the sauce tastes perfect every time and the naans are great! We also tried the coconut fried shrimp for the first time tonight and it's SUCH a delightful appetizer with a dipping sauce that is so yummy and fresh tasting. I've always ordered off Uber, never dined in so I can't really speak to the service however the girl at the counter is always pleasant and my order is always correct. Sometimes even with a little container of complementary dahl, which goes so nicely with the butter chicken.

Coming from someone who is not picky at all about food, this is the worst Indian food that I ever had, do not order from there.
I ordered two butter chickens and the description said that it would come with CHICKEN (Obviously) and yogurt.
Well… you could notice on the picture that both orders were wrong and replaced the chicken with cauliflower. In addition, there was no yogurt and the rice was completely undercooked. I am usually patient with order mistakes but they did not even attach the Uber Eats receipt with the delivery, making me believe they are simply just careless.
Clearly this food was made in a rush and without any care or responsibility.
Will not be returning.

This is truly one of the best Indian places in Vancouver! My go to take out spot. The value to cost ratio is amazing and the food never disappoints. I am so so happy with their quality of food and service I will always recommend Jolly's.

Great food, portions and service! 👌
The vegetarian Thali was a bit on the small side for the price. Mango Lassi was great! 😍 Staff are attentive too, water glasses were continuously filled. ☺️
Reason for 4/5 was the sound from the kitchen. Sounded like their refrigerator humming, something like that.
AND we had a Groupon and was told it wasn’t 40$ off the bill but 10$ per person’s order (4people). Made us feel like we had to order 4 separate dishes. We were also not allowed to use the Groupon on the Thali. In the end 40$ was taken off the entire bill!

We ordered Jolly’s and the saag paneer was delicious! It came with naan and rice and it was all delicious. Good serving size and spice level, will order again. Thanks!

Jolly is the owner and chef. His food is so tasty with the right amount of spices. He truly cares about his food and is proud. It makes him happy you are happy. I always love coming to fill my tastebuds. This place won't disappoint. It is more of a southern Indian food than northern. I say don't miss trying this restaurant.
