JOLOKO

All the dishes we have tried were scrumptious, good pair of ingredients all together and well executed. Only thing is it can get very hot in the afternoon time as the entire restaurant is an open concept.

I visited Joloko on a rainy weekday, so it felt like I had the entire restaurant to myself—a truly unique experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, the food was absolutely fantastic, and the cocktails were spot on. Every dish I tried was both flavorful and satisfying, but the standout for me was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken—an absolute champion. The deep-fried cauliflower came in as a close second, and the guava prawn tostada took third place. Even their purple cabbage side dish was remarkable; I could easily enjoy a whole bowl of it on its own! I’ll definitely be returning for more.

For some exotic Afro-Caribbean fare, look no further than JOLOKO in Chow Kit… This place has an interesting look and feel to it. Of course the food is spicy and deliciously tantalising. But enough about what I’m writing… seeing is believing, just take a look at the foodie pics!! You can anticipate upwards of MYR 100 especially if you’re a drinker like me. It’s been awhile since I’ve been back and I think it’s time for a visit!

Simply amazing for non-veg. For some interesting fusion food or a bar for uniquely inspired cocktails, look no further. Keep an eye out for the tiny sign, I walked by trying to find it! We ordered a variety of foods which were all packing with flavor. Their mocktail "Something like a Phenomenon" was like a dessert in a cup that matched the rich foods well. Portions are great and I love that they encourage sharing. A few things were unavailable that day, but I assume this isnt normal. The one complaint I have is that their vegan main is just not so good, its just a pasty block. If it was a dish with whole beans, grilled vegetables, or something, it would have been so much nicer. They have a number of other awesome vegetarian stuff on their menu so I know they can do it. Also, their flatbread was a little overcooked, it was more flatcracker than bread. We didnt mind so much, but it was slightly frustrating to pick up hummus with bread that broke. Definitely coming back to try their other things though.

Had an amazing joloko jerk chicken with mango relish as well as king prawns. The lady in the kitchen did a marvellous job as always. Loved it.

Enjoyed the food & cocktails here. The meal was tasty and appetising! Would recommend the beef tongue and marinated stringray wrapped in banana leaf.

Prawn tostada succulent as usual 😘 the chili cheesecake was lacking spice so i requested some habanero flakes to excite it. Still lovely overall.

What a nice place. The owner and his team are so friendly and nice ! The food also delicious! Don’t even wanna talk about the cocktails ! 🤤🤤 The design and the atmosphere are so warm and cozy ! I love it ! 😍 Been few times and I’ll come back again !
