Stopped there on our first night in Reykjavik and it was a wonderful dinner place, we could see that this place was very local. Starting with the food, their national drinks and obviously the Nordic hospitality. I highly recommend to you this restaurant, a place not to miss for tourists willing to explore the real side of Reykjavik

I stumbled upon this place with my 16-year-old daughter and 13 year-old son, we didn’t know what to expect. It looked a bit pricey but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Not only was the food magnificent, the waiter who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and very kind, he gave us extremely good advice. It was absolutely brilliant and delicious. We chose the luxury tasting plate as the main and it was literally licked clean.
Highly recommend this place if we ever come back to Iceland we will be coming here if it’s still there thank you to the gentleman who served us. I wish I knew his name. They were all marvellous.

Lunch here was the highlight of our trip to Iceland. Easy to order, excellent selection, interesting local people, wish it was closer to my home in Seattle.

Amazing food. We started with a tray of herring prepared different ways. Several of us had the veal schnitzel which was delicious. Another had one of the open face sandwiches and loved it. The potatoes with the veal deserve mention as well. Would definitely come again.

First time trying danish food. Not my favorite but it was still a good plate. Had the modern roast beef and smoked salmon 1/2 plates. I’m more of a hot food dinner person, the dishes i got are served cold, so keep that in mind. Staff was very friendly and helpful on recommending dishes. Has the Icelandic mule and it was a good drink too, a bit on the sweeter side but still good.

The waiter was awesome, he did a great job pairing drinks with our meals and explaining the best way to get bang for our buck when ordering. The smoked salmon was delicious, the falafel burger was one of the best we'd ever had, and the dessert was just as fabulous. Definitely one of the best meals we had in Iceland.

What a great place in Reykjavik! We made reservations and were seated promptly. The server was super friendly and he gave great recommendations and explained everything in detail. All of the food was super fresh and well presented, my roasted pork was so so good. The desserts were also off the charts great!
If I lived here, it would be a regular spot.
