"Brilliantly hued ceramics line the Jon Faulkner Gallery (formerly Bermuda Clayworks), a boutique and working collective studio in the Royal Naval Dockyard. Many of the items are salt-glazed; all are expertly crafted by local artisans. The main studio is celebrated for its bespoke house plaques—many made-to-orders feature family crests—and tableware. Other artists in the collective, which is housed in a former sail repair shop for the British fleet, create vases and other pieces that reflect the spirit of Bermuda. Seasonal activities and workshops take place throughout the year, while there is a paint-your-own pottery studio open every day."
Visited 8/3/24 Beautiful craftsman ship. I highly recommend if you are a collector or going to use the items he makes. It was too expensive for my taste. Most of the items I wouldn't know where to put it in my home or gifts for other people.

We expected this to be what it (unfortunately) says in the biz heading - tourist attraction. It's really so much more. Mr. Faulkner's work is incredibly detailed and fresh. And the variety! Wow.
There's a little something for everyone - from reasonably priced ceramic mementos to fine high-end tableware and pottery. We fell in love with his blue lined bowls . . . the color of Bermudan water. The guy is both an artist and an artisan.
Special treat for us was his being in the shop working. And when we decided on a piece, he signed it and wrapped it himself.
Definitely worth a stop to look and meet some really nice people

Very nice selection of local pottery, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. If you like local art with a touch of class, I would highly recommend this artist.

Beautiful work, we purchased a few items and they wrapped them greaat and made it home intact just fine. We even got to see Jon making some pieces as we shopped, a real treat.

This store carries a wide range of custom pottery items. There isn't anyone working on the floor. When I was there, there was one man in the back, working with clay.
They have a damaged rack, for pieces that did not fire correctly.
They have a nice studio for a paint-your-own activity.

My wife and I went there four years ago. We bought a set of the BEST coffee mugs ever. We collect them and his are the best. The mug I bought has these studded spike like projections that are amazing. I have seen slot of pottery over the years and many items we purchased we retired. Mr Faulkners work is the best and we plan on another Bermuda trip soon. His store is on our list of things to do when we get there. If you are researching a purchase, do it, you wont be disappointed.

Jon’s pottery is exceptional!!!. The shop at Dockyardis laid out in a very user friendly way. The area with the dining table and place settings showcases his beautiful handmade pieces. Great colors, designs and sturdy. I love my bowl 🍲
The bowls that look like a rock on the outside with the amazing aquamarine glaze on the inside are unlike anything I have seen anywhere. It is a locally family owned treasure. And if you see a guy working with clay that’s the shop owner Jon.
