This review is for my stay in November 2018.
I was impressed with every aspect of my stay from the reservation I made over the phone to my actual stay. Now the room itself I would rate at 3.5-4, but the very friendly service, the facility, and its cleanliness bring my rating up to a 5. The rooms are nice and are comfortable. Definitely homey but not at a luxury level.
Some of the rooms have screened in porches on the creek side. Other rooms have fireplaces, whirlpools and hot tubs.
Jonathan Creek runs the length of the property. The inn offers a fridge, microwave, an indoor pool, Gift Shop, seating in the lobby area, books, games, a kids playground, fire pit, swings, decks, lighted sittings areas and tables on the creeks edge.
We drove to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville in about 40 Minutes and up to Gatlinburg in about an hour and a half. It is about 25 Minutes to the South End of the Blue Ridge Parkway which is very picturesque. It is about 35 Minutes to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center were Elk are often seen. We made the inn our home-base for our visit to the Great Smoky Mountains.
The inn is nestled in a very small town. The nearest Stop Light is 3.5 Miles away. We found a few restaurants which served good breakfast meals. We drove out of town to Waynesville and to Dillsboro, NC (Haywood Smokehouse for BBQ was top notch) for dinner.
I would definitely stay at the inn again.
