My family and I absolutely loved staying here this past weekend! The room was exceptionally clean, cozy, and also had a fireplace in it. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful with providing recommendations on where to eat and hike around the area. Would love to stay in one of their screened rooms that back into the creek next time!

Nice little hotel in small town in the mountains. Relaxing, quiet, unlike anything we have in the city. The staff were all accommodating and friendly, they even recommended a an excellent pancake house called Joey's with some of the best hash brown casserole. No complaints with the room, it was clean, grounds looked amazing and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing out back on the creek.

A nice, good sized room that made our week long stay enjoyable. It is a little dark inside which makes it feel less clean than it is. I didn't care for the housekeeping schedule where you exchange towels daily by leaving outside of your door and if you stay more than 5 days you can get fresh sheets and a touch up cleaning in the middle. The staff are terrific though, from Renee in housecleaning to Tammy at the desk. There was plenty of parking. Smoking isn't allowed on the back porch even though it is totally open.

I had a wonderful stay at Johnathan Creek Inn! The location is peaceful and scenic, right by the creek, which made for such a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, quiet getaway in the mountains.

We stayed here about 10 years ago and were in the area again last minute yesterday. We checked in and were surprised at the nightly rate. SO reasonable. I did remember from the past the nice creek view and wasn’t disappointed. Went back to the swing and read my book long past dark. It’s nicely lit. Room was clean and had plenty of toiletries. Started my day with coffee from the lobby. My husband said we need to come back for a stay and I agreed immediately!

We have heard nothing but good things over the years and we finally checked it out. We have only been here about an hour and we are already enjoying sitting out on the back porches, feeling the wind blow and listening to the creek and the leaves rustling in the trees. It is so absolutely relaxing. The room is very nice and cozy. It has a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. We are happy to be staying here at Jonathan Creek Inn.

Boo took me away for the weekend wanted to stay here. From the reviews and pics it seemed so lovely. We got a king room on the 2nd floor. It had a screened in porch which I loved. The light didnt work.on our porch no big deal. Didn't really need it anyway. We just wanted someone peaceful and quiet. We'll it was a car/truck festival the weekend we came up. Yay for us I love vechicles no big deal. When it was quiet time we had one neighbor with kids starting a band with harmonica and the other one was partying and smoking pot. Banging on the door through out the night. I sleep very light I first thought it was the police knocking. Until I heard him scream someone let me in. I knew he was just locked out. The room walls were thin and you could hear ppl talking/ car doors/ motors. I know this couldn't be helped I love kids I have them. I sometimes wish they would put couples away from other families. Not often but this time we really just needed a reset for a couple of days. For me it was more mental than anything lots of health/family stuff going on. Please update the lighting in the room. The touch lamps took me a min to figure them out. The bed was nice and soft. The comforter was dirty and had so many hairs on it. I checked the sheets and they were all clean. The rest of the room was clean also. The pool is heated and the outdoor area looked top of the line. If we ever go back i will take earplugs or my headphones so I can sleep better at night.

The best part of the stay is the creek that runs behind the inn. The room left alot to be desired. The mattresses needed replacing. They were worn and not comfortable. The room was not clean. The floors were filthy, there was cobwebs on the ceiling. The ice bucket was unusable. It smelled like someone had urinated in it. I was there for 4 days and the room was never cleaned. ||Won't stay here again.

Yelp
We have been through Maggie Valley a few times, this trip decided to stay in town! Turns out a great idea! Right across the street from Joey's Pancake house! Beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend this place! People are very friendly and very accommodating. We will be back!

Yelp
We read reviews and our parents had stayed here and recommended it. So we decided to spend a night for our anniversary. The lady who checked us in was really nice. But there were a few problems with our room. When I checked out I showed the lady some pics and she said they were having trouble keeping housekeeping staff, which is not unusual currently. She said she would talk to the owners and see what could be done but we have never heard anything and our stay was in June.if it had been clean they stay would have been great.

Yelp
We stayed here for three nights in February. I had looked over reveiws before making a reservation. We stayed in a room with king bed and spa tub. I really was not impressed with the size of room. The bathroom was really small. We were told the room had been updated and some what remolded. But the spa tub had not been redone. I not sure that we would stay again due to the noise level at place of business. The price for the room was reasonabal. We made a reservation to stay again in May and we canceled.

Yelp
This review is for my stay in November 2018. I was impressed with every aspect of my stay from the reservation I made over the phone to my actual stay. Now the room itself I would rate at 3.5-4, but the very friendly service, the facility, and its cleanliness bring my rating up to a 5. The rooms are nice and are comfortable. Definitely homey but not at a luxury level. Some of the rooms have screened in porches on the creek side. Other rooms have fireplaces, whirlpools and hot tubs. Jonathan Creek runs the length of the property. The inn offers a fridge, microwave, an indoor pool, Gift Shop, seating in the lobby area, books, games, a kids playground, fire pit, swings, decks, lighted sittings areas and tables on the creeks edge. We drove to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville in about 40 Minutes and up to Gatlinburg in about an hour and a half. It is about 25 Minutes to the South End of the Blue Ridge Parkway which is very picturesque. It is about 35 Minutes to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center were Elk are often seen. We made the inn our home-base for our visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. The inn is nestled in a very small town. The nearest Stop Light is 3.5 Miles away. We found a few restaurants which served good breakfast meals. We drove out of town to Waynesville and to Dillsboro, NC (Haywood Smokehouse for BBQ was top notch) for dinner. I would definitely stay at the inn again.

Yelp
We went to Maggie Valley to do some motorcycle adventures with 10 other bikes through the Ozark mountains. Our friends rented the rooms and we were a little apprehensive, knowing the area. We were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The hotel from the outside wad clean and inviting. The room we got had a Jacuzzi tub and overall was clean, fresh and well maintained. Staying here for three days so will update if there are any changes.

Yelp
I admit I was hesitant to book the Jonathan Creek Inn at first, but I was so impressed with the hotel. The front staff were very friendly and check in took all of 30 seconds. We parked directly in front of our room. While the décor may look a little dated the rooms are clean and have wood floors (which I think is cleaner than carpet). The shower had a nice new faux tile overlay and a newer looking shower head. We had a room with our own private screened-in back porch with a small patio table and two patio chairs. It was so nice to have a pleasant place to sit and listen to the creek. Since we were able to latch the screen door we'd often leave the back door open so we could breathe in that fresh mountain air. I think the best feature of the hotel is the common outdoor area behind the rooms. There are bench swings to relax and look at the creek, a nice gazebo where you can sit if you want to listen to the rain, and a deck that goes a little over the creek outfitted with nice Adirondack chairs. Plus, all of it is very well-lit at night if you've run around all day and don't get to sit and relax until the evening. Although we didn't get to try them, there's a nice playground for kids (probably best for under 8 years old) and a covered pool.

Yelp
We *loved* this place! Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Perfect place to escape from reality to. 10/10 would do again! Very close to Smoky Mountain National Park.

Yelp
We just decided to ride up to Maggie Valley one friday night and all the hotels were full except this one and they had 1 room with a whirlpool tub. I got regular room rate and I was greatly impressed with this place. Good spacious room. King size bed. And great location. Also my wife forgot her pillow and we had left and Manager called us and told us so we went back and got it. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Staff goes above and beyond, very clean rooms, near numerous restaurants and attractions. This is our third year in a row. Coming back next year

Yelp
Always my favorite place to stay in Maggie Valley. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Rooms are always clean, and cleaned daily. Love the creek behind the Inn, and all the areas to sit and watch it roll on by.

Yelp
Awesome! Clean, homie, updated. A great experience! The creek side area is so nice and peaceful!

Yelp
I've been here twice and loved it every time! It's super comfy and cute, the staff is always super friendly! Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Love the backside with the creek, picnic area and cozy hot tub. I always get a room with the spa bath to be more relaxed. Recommend for a couple or a small family!

Yelp
We had a room overlooking the creek. The room was clean. The staff was really helpful. They recommended that we have dinner next door... Also on the creek. We had a great time. They had rocking chairs and a swing. There was a gazebo, so you could even sit outside when it rained. The creek was clean so it was nice to wade in. The indoor pool was ok, as was the hot tub. Did not offer breakfast, but there was a pancake house across the street. Nothing fancy, but the sounds of the creek made the stay very relaxing. We will return.

Yelp
Staff were welcoming. The rooms was very clean. Good price for ski season. Pool was fun. Hot tub was great - although water has a strange smell... Not sure if that's just the local tap water that we weren't familiar with? Inn is at the end of the strip of shops and motels, so quieter and very short drive to ski resort. No-one was in the rooms adjacent or above so I can't comment on noise insulation. All the motels appear to be roadside so traffic can be heard.

Yelp
This place is so cute! It gives you a real "home-y" feel. I traveled all the way from Indiana to this hotel for a 3 day weekend. The service was very nice. And the room was beautifully kept. Nice sized beds that were comfortable. The view outside the room was amazing. I also had a screened in porch, which was awesome. Although it is a cold walk back and forth from the pool to the hot tub. All the way around this is a spot I will be staying at again if I visit Maggie Vally again!

Yelp
This is a beautiful inn with great charm and décor and a reasonable value. After a day of hiking, biking, or kayaking, a great place to stay, soak in the hot tub, sit outside on the big gazebo deck overlooking a flowing Jonathan creek and relax. If you get up early before your wife, have a cup of coffee and sit in the lobby or outside. Staff is friendly and courteous.

Yelp
I have to admit that I was skeptical at first to book two nights at a inn. But this place suprised me and my husband in a good way. This inn is a very clean and comfortable place to stay if you visit Asheville and Great Smoky Mountain. It is well kept and maintained. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We were attending a wedding in Waynesville and this was a recommended Motel for the area. The motel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The really nice feature is a creek running behind the motel. Our room had a deck that looked out over the creek. The motel also has some creekside sitting, a little park like atmosphere. The motel has an enclosed pool. I don't know much about the Maggie Valley area, but can say that this is good option if you want to stay in the area. We enjoyed our 1 night stay. Its also very reasonably priced.

Yelp
In response to Paul from Virginia, There is no real difference between a hot tub and Jacuzzi®. Both are used to describe tubs of hot water which use jets of forced air to produce currents and bubbles, either for therapeutic or strictly pleasurable purposes. Jacuzzi® is a brand name, and so strictly speaking, it describes only those hot tubs and spas manufactured by the Jacuzzi company. His one star review is uncalled for. This place is fabulous and staff are wonderful. And the 'hot tub' is wonderful. Rooms are cleaned and well cared for. We had a screened in porch on lower level that opens to the creek. It had a small table and chairs and we felt so relaxing being there having our coffee and carry-out sandwiches. I love this Inn.

Yelp
Dirt under beds and under dresser, dust ontop of microwave and mini fridge ac unit filter almost black from dust build up dirt on table legs, dusty curtians staff rude to each other and seem to have a lack of communication rooms appear to be in good order untill you look closer, pink mold in corners of showers and soap scum on lower half of showers especially in the low 200 section and 100 section. All in all I would not recommend if looking for true cleanliness.

Yelp
~25 members of our family stayed here in May to visit my grandparents for my grandmother's 90th birthday. The rooms were clean and spacious. The gazebo in the back was the perfect space for everyone to visit, and the creek was really pleasant. We all talked about what a nice stay it was and how anxious we were to visit again. Thank you so much for putting up with our rowdy group for the weekend!

Jason B.

Yelp
Very nice location, as other review stated. Very clean and rooms are updated and very comfortable. Desk staff very nice and helpful. Indoor pool is nice and well kept. Hot tub in deck right on raging Creek is a nice touch. Rooms were straightened and cleaned everyday in a timely manner. Parking is bit tight but adequate. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. We went skiing at chataloocee ski area which is a 1/4 mile down the road.

Jolene S.

Yelp
Can't wait to visit Jonathan Creek Inn again but this time I want a screened in porch room which are awesome. I'll just have to book earlier! The desk staff was perfect in my opinion and the rooms very clean and more than adequate. Highly recommended.

Karen T.

Yelp
Nice place, very clean, and very friendly people. Reasonably priced. Ask for a room with a patio overlooking the creek.

Yelp
Hotel was okay. A little outdated. Wifi coverage was spotty in the room, outside was okay. Room was advertised as having a hot tub, turns out it was a jacuzzi tub. Unfortunate as I had called twice to confirm that it was a real hot tub and not a jacuzzi tub. Desk clerk's response to my pointing out the obvious deception, "That's what hot tub means to us." What it means to me is that I won't be staying here again.
