Gabriel Stulman Opens the Jones

"A longtime Cajun spot was completely reinvented while leaving several exterior relics intact — an orange-and-blue façade, an Elvis bust draped in cheap Mardi Gras beads, a neon EAT sign, chipped blue benches and the original bar — as deliberate nods to its history under Jim Moffett. The new operator kept the building’s character but performed a gut renovation inside, replacing leather banquettes with kilim-trimmed seating, swapping center tables for a communal table and leather sofa, covering the old wall menu with a large mirror framed in blond wood, and repainting daffodil-yellow surfaces white with exposed wood. The kitchen, led by longtime collaborator Jack Harris, leans café-to-seafood: morning service (opening at 7:30 a.m.) features egg sandwiches, artful pastries, fresh-baked bread and third-wave coffee, while dinner expands into a sharable, seafood-forward lineup — a cheffed-up Filet-O-Fish, tinned sardines with salted butter and baguette, poached prawns, spaghetti with sardines, Manila clams with a Cajun barbecue twist and a raw bar — alongside low- and no-ABV cocktails (examples include a Five On It and salted celery lemonade) and a compact wine list. The owner frames the redesign as honoring the site’s storied past (Basquiat and Madonna anecdotes) while updating it into a familiar, lived-in neighborhood destination inspired in part by intimate, ungimmicky seafood-focused spots in Paris." - Nikita Richardson

Had a super cozy dinner at Jones All Day Serendra! The Filipino food was on point - loved every bite! Big shoutout to the crew, they were super attentive and made the whole experience even better. We also scored their discounted pastries, which were flying off the shelves before 9pm! Had to act fast, but totally worth it. Highly recommend for a chill night in with good grub, great service, and sweet treats! Trivia: An article from Tatler in December 2021: " At Jones All Day, there really is something for every diner, every occasion, and every hour of the day. “We wanted to bring an international feel to a very typical bistro setting” shares Martin Wisniewski, vice president of Raintree Hospitality Group. “Throughout the pandemic, we noticed that people were ordering comfort food that they missed, and people were also missing travel . . . we wanted to combine them both in a bistro.” Considering the group’s formidable portfolio, Raintree Hospitality is no stranger to neither comfort food nor international cuisines. “It’s kind of a culmination of all of our restaurants,” he continues, “you can almost call this a restart of Raintree.”" Raintree Hospitality Group is a Filipino-American company.

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, the lighting, interior design, and seating layout made it feel just like an ordinary American diner. The male staff who took my order and served me was also very friendly. 🍳 Omelet – It wasn’t salty at all, and it came with salad, fruit, and bread, so the set was pretty nice. The omelet wasn’t cooked all the way through—more like 80% done—so it stayed soft inside. 🌱 Chamomile tea – Served in a pot, which felt like good value for money. It paired nicely with the omelet too. Downside – The only disappointing part was the staff at the bakery section. They were unfriendly, and even when I got close, they showed no interest or response. I think they really need some training on how to greet customers warmly, recognize their needs, and offer help in a polite way.

Ambience outdoor and indoor is really nice, only in outdoor corner side it’s too closed in walkway a lot of people passing by, but it’s relaxing ambience to sit and sip your coffee or Aperol. Regarding the food I order bistro salad. . in the menu Looks nice in a plating with garnish, what they served to me it’s really disappointing a lot of filing green leave with a little bit of everything garnish, shredded apple maybe 4 shred and very small cube of Gorgonzola cheese.. don’t deceived your marketing in appealing menu and reality it’s Looks bad the plating. Margarita pizza served cold, it’s looks old back up and reheat pizza to serve not value for money at all. Service: I ask the staff regarding the Aperol promos 500 pesos for 2 glass if available.. and she explained to me “ It’s Aperol Spritz and alcohol drink” c’mon. . I’m not living just now like third world country what is Aperol Spritz 🤣🤣. Be mindful of your customer, I passby in your Bistro Cafe wearing sporty shorts and shoes just to unwind I don’t need explanation of Aperol spritz, I ask to order it if available. FYI: not to brag I experienced dine-in in Michelin star restaurant and experienced to sip cocktails in the best 50 bar in the world, I’ve been in Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Royal Mansour in Morocco (“just saying”) sooo.. not first time for me to sit in Bistro having Aperol, don’t give explanation to the customer what they order if the customer not asking that is Etiquette in hospitality. Elevate your good service to treat all your customer the same not based the clothes and looks.

Like the ambiance of this little dinner, elegant and sits in the middle of serendra plaza. Tried their new set meal, a nice combo of green vegetables salad, pumpkin soup and tender juicy fried chicken bites with mash potato. Enjoyed every bite of it and the complementary ice tea was not too sweet. Would recommend this place for friends gathering or just a simple dinner for one.

Okay place to meet with friends and have a snack and coffee. The food was okay but a bit too salty and oily for my taste (Steakhouse Chili). The ambience is nice, but the ventilation could be improved: the indoor area was foggy from the kitchen smoke. The staff is friendly. Point for improvement: We ordered soup but no spoons were delivered and we had to ask for it.

Lalaine our server was accommodating and friendly. Atmosphere was warm, allowing people to chat without being loud. I even appreciate their music. It's my second time here and food has always been good.

Nice brunch place with decent food. Needs lots of work on service side. The service staff is not organised and service time was way too long for 2 danishes and 2 iced cappuccino (which came wrong, served hot). Coffee had too much cinnamon sprinkle on top and was served without spoons. When asked about sugar it seemed that they don’t like to serve sugar with their coffee. After explaining it twice to the server, finally a plate with dark brown sugar and two sachets of stevia sugar was served. Plate was full of dust which proofed that its not being used for quite some time. Had to ask again for spoons. Blue butterfly pea drink was also without any sugar syrup which made it taste sour. Danishes were flaky but not light at all. Had difficulties cutting it with a knife. Taste was good, though.
