Great seaplane flight with Paul, our pilot. Very professional, and quickly put us at ease. Knows the locale- was very informative on our ride. My granddaughter still talking about the great time - her only wish was that the flight lasted longer than the 20 minutes. Highly recommend Jones Bros!!

Awesome bucket list trip. Our pilot Evan was excellent: professional, safety conscious, and a great tour guide. We had to adjust our plan due to local wildfires, but they made it easy. Even gave us portable battery-operated fans to keep cool on a hot day. Great way to see the local area and all the lakes from above. Do it!

I wouldn’t be able to say enough good things about this place. Everything from the town, to the vibe, to the people, and the school is just incredible. My flight instructor TIM helped me get my seaplane rating in three days. The examiner, Rob, was absolutely fantastic and everyone in between was just top-notch. People here are actually happy to be here and to do what they do. The four days I spent here were some of the best four days I’ve had in years.

Beautiful flight on Easter Sunday. Tim was an excellent pilot and showcased the differences in flying seaplanes vs. land planes. My husband flies a Piper archer and has always been interested in a seaplane experience. This amped up his interest for sure! Personally I loved the water take off and landings in both lake and river. The entire area is so scenic. It was fun to fly low enough to take it all in. I included a clip of an area we had just walked in Mount Dora, Palm Island Park. Thanks to the staff at Jones Brothers. They were so helpful in keeping us informed of wind conditions and helping us reschedule for the best experience. Seriously awesome life experience!

Our Pilot Tim made me and grandaughter feel safe and relaxed because he's a pro! Loved our experience loved the customer service with Ashley who rocked and just the whole bucket list experience! DO IT JUST DO IT ! We flew over a beautiful nature preserve many lakes and a river we landed and took off on the water AND you can take lessons to learn to fly! Imagine? Thanks so much 💯% experience.

Hands down, the best seaplane school! The entire Jones Brothers team is there to help you from the very beginning. The instructors are patient and will explain all the theory, even multiple times if needed. The flight instruction is thorough, and you’ll be taught every aspect of seaplane flying. The DPE is fair, and the checkride is an excellent training event as well. I had a very pleasant experience at Jones Brothers and highly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely return to enjoy more seaplane flying.

Came down to Jones Bros for the seaplane rating. Eli (CFI) was awesome. Thorough with the ground school work, and great demonstrating the various takeoff and landing configurations/techniques when we went up. Also did an oral prep test which was spot on. Rob (DPE) was also thorough and very fair. All in all definitely recommend Jones Bros if you are looking to fly floats!

Had a great 1 Hour Discovery Flight with Paige for my birthday. I am not a licensed pilot, but she is an instructor and allowed me to do all the takeoffs and landings on water. I loved it!!!

Warning : you should not use this company. I callled and let them know that I would be arriving in Florida for four days and asked would this be adequate time to complete the five hours of flight training. I was assured by The female at the desk that this would be no problem. I arrived on time each day and prepared for flight training. I received 2.9 hours of training and then I was informed they had pre-booked charters and would not be able to accommodate me the rest of those hours. I spoke with the lady at the front desk about this situation and we agreed that I would be billed only for the hours received. I received a partial refund and then within two hours the refund was taken back out of my account and I received a text message from the company that stated the owner didn't feel comfortable giving me a partial refund. This company was fully aware of my situation and did not honor their word. This company took my money under false pretenses, and payment was made for services NOT RENDERED!!!! I immediately called my credit card company and explain the situation and started a dispute. Anyone looking to get there sea plane ratings I would advise from my experience do not use this company. They are not a reputable company and they lack honesty and integrity. Next day I went to Jack Brown's seaplane base in winter haven Florida I was amazed and I found the staff was amazing and most of all had integrity. After two hours of flight time the Cfi was ready to sign me off, but we could not get a DPE that day and I was flying out the next morning. I found Jack Brown's Sea Plane base to be everything that you could ever ask for in a company for Sea Plane operation. I will be going back to Jack Brown's to fly again in the future highly recommend Jack Brown.

If I could give this a 10 star rating, I would! This was such a fun experience - I recommend everyone take a ride in a seaplane sometime! From start to finish the process was great. Signed up and paid online. There were a variety of tour to choose from, we did the chain of lakes tour. It was approx. 45 minutes long. We got an email reminder the day before letting us know where to check in and when to arrive. When we arrived the check in was super simple and we waited for our pilot. Once the plane was checked and ready to go our pilot took us over and loaded us up. Our pilot was super friendly and chatty. As far as the ride itself goes - SO. MUCH. FUN. We saw gators. We saw wildlife. We saw several lakes. Taking off and landing from the water was such a cool experience.

This is a 5 star operation!! Wow... what a wonderful and unique experience. My sister and I kicked around the idea of taking a seaplane ride for a few months now and finally made a reservation. Evan was our pilot and his adorable wife helped set us up inside the office. We did the Harris Chain and down river trip. The views, the knowledgeable commentary by Evan made our trip perfect. I highly recommend Jones Brothers to anyone that wants to mark off the bucket list on new adventures... it worth every cent!

My sister-in-law treated my brother Eddie & I to a seaplane ride for our birthdays in February ( our second seaplane tour ride and we loved it! It was so much fun taking off from their base in Tavares! One plane ride we viewed the Harris Lake chain( undoubtedly flying over their gorgeous home on a canal w/ lake view in Leesburg! We often looked up in the sky to see their seaplanes flying high in the sky overhead) and another time longer ride to see Amusement Parks etc( 3 of us each time)! We had the best time ever & such a unique gift! We often sat at a hotel in Mt Dora having breakfast ( my sister-in-law took me there too for a special birthday breakfast . We sat on the porch, gazing out on the lake with our eyes settling on the seaplanes! We said we wanted to take a ride someday for my mom used to fly them( had her license at 17 yrs old in Spfld,Ma! She was written up in newspaper articles in all area newspaper's! Mom loved coming here & seeing the seaplanes! Fond memories it brought back! Flights on this wonderful company's seaplanes was so much fun( we brought our lap dog too & she loved it as well!)! Our pilot was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and made our flights so enjoyable! We cannot recommend this company enough! They are extraordinary!

What a wonderfully run company with the friendliest most efficient employees. We booked the flight that included a stop in Weirsdale for lunch. Ryne was our pilot and he narrated what we were flying over and was able to answer any questions we had. Max was a bonus he was a pilot that was on the flight to learn more about the area. We did ask the two of them to join us for lunch. It was a beautiful day with an amazingly calm flight. Life is about making memories and this one will be always remembered with a smile on our face.

These are some of the nicest people you will meet. They seem eager to adjust their tours to accommodate you. They are extremely safe and their equipment is professionally maintained . They make this the SEAPLANE Capital!

My husband wanted to get his seaplane endorsement, so he picked this company. We made it the end of our trip and set out. The instructor was friendly, relaxed, and thourough. My husband had a blast and learned a lot. They even took me along on the second day for lunch. Flew i to a cute lakeside restaurant. They also do rides for non-pilots. We looked at the prices and holy cow were they reasonable! If you've ever thought about riding in a seaplane, seeing Orlando from the air, or learning to fly seaplanes, GO HERE! You won't regret it.

It was an exhilarating three days of training for my seaplane rating. The weather was great along with a relaxed ambiance and picturesque landscape. I was assigned Matt as my instructor. He's a seasoned vet and demonstrated a professionalism I have not seen yet. Coming from the single-engine land world, taking off and landing on the water is a different animal altogether. From the start, Matt set the expectations and laid the groundwork for what was to come once we ventured onto the seaplane and across various lakes. He wisely (or unwisely?) let me make the common mistakes and experience their consequences. I learned faster than I thought I would this way. If you plan on doing your seaplane training, I cannot recommend Matt enough. The staff at Jones Brothers are remarkably kind. Perhaps its because I come from NY where we are born apathetic. Morgan, a friendly and knowledgable person, answered all my many questions before the booking, and customized my schedule to my needs. Rob, the owner, was very kind to me and seemed genuinely interested in my goals. He was present every minute of my visit there, and was hands on for every flight that left the lake, whether it be a tour or training flight. He's a good businessman. Jones Brothers gets 5 stars from me. I have already recommended them to other pilots, and in time, they'll be doing the recommending as well.

We had a 3 day stay in lake county region of Florida. If your into picking antiques to good eats , country beauty, and a change of pace from coastal Florida this is for you. If you want to take a wonderful tour of this area from above you have to take at least a 15 minute puddle jump with tony our classy fun professional pilot as well as the two Ryan's cohesively working together to make this experience for my wife and I just wonderful. The next time I'm in region I will extend our flight because it is truly worth it. Thanks Tony, fly on!

This day was a very important day for us, as I was proposing to my now fiancée once we touched down at her favorite restaurant in Orlando. Jones Brothers air and sea made the experience even more magical by flying us in from their Mt. Dora location. Their professionalism leading up to the experience helped to keep my stress levels down for the day, as they made sure everything was in order, did not disclose our destination (as requested), and maintained communication leading up to the event. We arrived 15 minutes past our scheduled 3:45 flight, but Jones Brothers still made things work perfectly for us. Our pilot, Evan Frostman, made the experience an unforgettable one, and amazed everyone with his navigation, our answered questions, his low flying to the water, approachable personality, and just an outright good time. When we got to Hillstone, following the proposal, Evan was even willing to accommodate us further by giving us additional time to eat (even though we were responsible for arriving late to our scheduled appointment). If that's not absolute thoughtfulness, then I don't know what is. Due to our large party at Hillstone, we decided to remain there instead of catching our flight back - but I am absolutely positive it would have been just as amazing as Evan promised us even more scenery and the sunset views. We have no regrets using Jones Brothers Air and Sea Adventures and would easily give them FIVE stars with just half the ride! If we received the entire thing we'd have been struggling trying to find a way to force ten stars. We would ABSOLUTELY fly with them again and appreciate them for making our engagement an unforgettable experience. #SheSaidYes

This was an amazing experience. The pilot was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The weather was quite foggy and cloudy, and though I imagine it would have been even better on a clear day, our pilot flew lower so that our views were unimpaired. We got some excellent photos and memories of Lake County with the lakes behind it, and of course Mount Dora and Tavares. Lots of fun, and highly recommended.

I put the girlfriend and her son on a trip and they loved it (I dont do small planes) they took a bunch of pictures and still talk about their adventure. I highly recommend it.

They are based at a charming and enjoyable facility, which is actually in the process of being upgraded. I trained for my seaplane rating with Matt, who was extremely courteous and professional, and thoroughly prepared us for the oral exam and check ride. The staff was very pleasant and inviting, and scheduling the training was quick and easy to do. They do a good job of walking you through the entire process step by step. It should also be noted that they are located in a region that is exceptionally well suited to this type of operation because there is an abundance of lakes in the area of varying size and character, so you can always find a place that is well suited for replicating different real world environments you may face.

First time on a seaplane and it was amazing. Everyone at Jones Brothers was friendly. Can't wait for our next trip.

Jones Brothers assisted my boyfriend (now Fiancé!) in coordinating an incredibly romantic proposal. We took a discovery flight to New Smyrna Beach where he proposed and our awesome pilot even captured the moment on camera for us. Jones Brothers went out of their way to ensure we had copies of the photos. We can not thank Jones Brothers enough for making our romantic and exciting proposal possible! The pilot was extremely experienced, pleasant, and entertaining! I am still in awe that we actually landed on water! It really doesn't get any better than that! I would highly recommend this amazing experience! The aerial views alone will take your breath away!

Have you ever seen a place that gives seaplane tours? I hadn't either until we happened upon Wooton Park in Tavares. Did you know that Tavares is "America's Seaplane City"? I had no idea! But located right along beautiful Lake Dora is Jones Brothers & Co. who offers seaplane tours on one of two seaplanes docked right at the park. The tours are a little pricey- starting at $35 for adults and $30 for children but are sure to be a memorable experience. The cheaper tours run 10-12 minutes but you can custom your tour to include Orlando and its attractions if you wish! The tour we would have done would have been either the Lake Harris and Long Island Tour or Eustis and Tavares West Tour, both of which were $55/$50 and last 18-20 minutes. Planes can hold 3 plus a pilot. The workers on shore were super friendly and helpful. They said we could look inside the planes and even sit in them before we decided. (I had some safety concerns) Although $150 wasn't in the budget this time I'm going to keep an eye for out discounts or maybe go back for a special occasion tour. It looks like a blast!

Amazing experience! We spent the day visiting lakeside watering holes with Evan as our pilot. Traveling by seaplane is pretty awesome! Very smooth ride, beautiful views, great off-the-beaten path places we never would have found on our own, and a great way to escape reality for a day. Can I give this 6 stars??

It was a really enjoyable ride if you were sitting in the first two rows. If you're unlucky enough to sit in the back row, it kind of sucked. I couldn't see anything. Im very short, 5' 5", and I kept hitting my head on the roof.

I used Jones Brothers to get my Single Engine Seaplane rating and it was a great experience! Paul was my instructor and he was great. Everyone there welcomed me for the three days in paradise. Awesome area to fly, professional instructors, and a great community! Highly recommend!

What a unique adventure! After watching the seaplanes come & go for years from Al's Landing - we treated our mom to a ride for her 80th Birthday. 'thoroughly enjoyed it even in the rain! Highly recommend!!

Took my dad for a short seaplane ride with Jones Bros last week and it was a blast. Very safe operation with competent staff. Great operation with interesting sights to see in central Florida. Do it, you will enjoy it!

My mother and I took the the Harris Chain and Down the River tour on February 17, 2018, our first tour with Jones Brothers & Co Air & Seaplane Adventures. Our pilot, Evan, was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, taking us up in a Cessna 206 seaplane for a ride that peaked in altitude at over 600 feet and included a splash down and low flying on Lake Griffin and the Ocklawaha River. For our first-ever ride in a seaplane, it was incredibly smooth: a true testament to the pilot's level of experience and dedication to the practice of safe aviation. As I plan to get my private pilot's license and specifically fly seaplanes, this was a particularly enjoyable and special flight for me as copilot, as well as an essential early step in reaching my goal, and I truly appreciate having such a positive experience for my first flight. I would highly recommend this flight and Jones Brothers & Co to anyone, young and old, interested in a fun and unique way to spend an afternoon and gain a new perspective of the area. We are already planning our next trip to Tavares, and are so grateful for Evan and the wonderful experience he gave us!

We enjoyed our seaplane ride very much. Our pilot Rob was knowledgeable of the area, pointing out landmarks and all the lakes. The takeoff and landing was awesome.
