Jones Street Wine Bar & Chefs Tasting Counter

Hosted the most fantastic party in the dreamy East Village private room. I exchanged a few messages with the owner, Nick, in the lead up and then Michael took excellent care of my party of 18 the night of (literally he took care of us - one of my friends took a tumble and he popped right up with a full glass of wine for her as a necessary means of recovery.) He was a super hero and made the experience so enjoyable. In terms of the space, it was intimate and glowy. But do be aware it is tight (!!), I would say my party pretty much hit capacity. As for the structure, it’s free flow. There’s no set “wine tasting” per se but that was perfect for the event I was envisioning. Michael made sure none of our glasses ever went empty. Overall a fabulous experience and a very special birthday. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough great things about Jones st wine bar! I hosted my birthday party here and we had the best time. It’s cozy, intimate, well-decorated and best of all had strong AC! Nick went above and beyond to make the night special and accommodate our group. Jones is an absolute gem!!

Hosted a birthday party here over the weekend and cannot say enough good things about Jones St! The bar is lovely, the people were kind, the wine selections were great. Will definitely be coming back and recommend for any parties / date nights!

I contacted this place to host my birthday and was met with the worst customer service ever. They gave me absolutely no information and when I tried to call I was never able to reach them. When I went on their website to try and speak with a manager to discuss hosting my birthday here, they would take either days or weeks to respond back to me. They're beyond unprofessional and disrespectful, idk how hard it is to get back to someone and I even gave them my phone number to reach me and it's been silence on their end. Just beyond rude, learn some professionalism cuz I doubt you're that busy.

I booked what I thought was a wine tasting here for my birthday (on the phone was assured that there would be 6 different wines at $60 per person). Instead, the server just poured different wines for us while we chatted, which while lovely, was not a true tasting nor what I was promised. When we asked about the different wines or for a menu, we were met with confusion/disregard. Additionally, I was charged extra for a cheese platter that had been mentioned as included. Although the wine was excellent and the staff warmed up to us, be cautious about booking a "tasting" here and definitely make sure to have a paper trail.

Best wine bar in the neighborhood. The owner Nick is great and really knowledgeable. Really fun wines in a great/relaxed atmosphere. Sad to see some of the other reviews on here - couldn’t disagree more

Visited with a bunch of friends - place looks run down, they are VERY stingy with pours, and worst of all - astonishingly rude people. One sweet gal was kind and helpful, but the rest of the staff are incredibly rude. Took the fun out of drinking wine, which is generally a very enjoyable activity. Avoid, avoid, avoid - go anywhere else. They’re the kind of establishment that doesn’t understand who the customer is.
