Love this place!!! Eaten here twice, once for breakfast and another time for lunch. Delicious vegan options available. The mushrooms on toast for breakfast and the penne pasta for lunch. The raw choc cake is also insanely good. Beautiful gardens to have a walk outside. Highly recommend

Excellent food, good wine selection, friendly service, nice views. Given that it's on the Groot Constantia estate you might think that it's a 'tourist factory' but definitely not. Plenty of tables too so I got seated no problem even on a busy Saturday lunchtime.

Having just spent 3 weeks in South Africa, my wife and I agreed our meal at Jonkershuis Constantia was just about the best we had. As you can see from pictures - the arancini, tomato tart, and pork pasta were all exceptional, and although I didn't realise it at the time, ordering the signature 'governors reserve' to go with, was the perfect accompaniment. The story behind Groot Constantia is just great and having such a special meal there is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Pure fulfillment at Jonkershuis Constantia! 🍷 The view over the lush, rolling vineyards of Groot Constantia is simply breathtaking and made the perfect backdrop for lunch. But the stars of the show were the food (absolutely amazing!) and the exceptional service from our wonderful waitress. A must-try is the Lady of Abundance wine—its bold, complex flavour is exactly what my palate needed. Great food and amazing atmosphere, with a lovely wine selection. However, the service could be improved—staff felt a bit rushed or inattentive. A bit more professionalism would make the experience perfect.

First visit to Jonkershuis Constantia. Service wS good. The Eggs Benedict highly recommended. Fresh and delicious. Beautiful setting.

Good fresh eggs and toast with earl gray tea, warming up by the fire place . Can only wish the tea was brewed instead of a tea bag and the coffee served hot! A walk among the vineyards takes u there, under the fresh morning breeze. The museum nearby opens at 10.00 am.

We walked in just before 5 and told immediately on entering (before even being seated) that the kitchen closes at 5 so we better be quick. Even though closing time is 6pm. Even so we made a quick decision and landed on a cheese board and some samoosas. The waitress was pleasant enough, but eager to cash up. It was nice to sit next to a heater and at a place with an actual indoor fire going as it was cold and miserable on the day we went.
