I really liked it. We stayed for four nights, and it was clean, warm and comfortable. The building is lovely, full of character, and very bright and colourful inside. It felt safe and secure, as there are two number locks to get inside. Staff and the other guests were all friendly and helpful. The room wasn't huge but it was big enough, and the bed far more comfortable than it looked. The shower is spacious and never seemed to run out of hot water. The hair dryer cuts out after about a minute, but I'm assuming that's a safety feature. The kitchen had all you could need and had lots of room for preparing food and dining. The oven wasn't working, but we just bought food that could be put in the microwave.
For the vegans, it's in the perfect location because there is an amazing vegan cafe directly over the street ☺️ For everyone else, it's in the perfect location because it's only a few minutes walk into town or to the station.
Only thing I would say is that I'm a very heavy sleeper and slightly deaf, and while i had four nights of really good sleep, if you're a light sleeper looking to stay more than one night you might struggle, because the walls are very thin...you can hear the shower running three rooms away and people's conversations even when they're talking very quietly. This didn't bother me at all, but my daughter had to buy earplugs.
I will definitely stay there again.
