If you're looking for a hotel devoid of charm, this is your place. Jordan House Tavern & Lodging does not reflect the personality or warmth of the town it sits in. It feels sterile and uninspired, and completely misses the opportunity to match the character of its surroundings.
From the start, the experience was inconvenient. You don’t even check in at the building itself. You have to go to a completely different hotel to get your key, which was annoying to say the least.
The room felt outdated. The walls were painted black, and the bedside lights were an intense, clinical white. A lone photo of a Scottish Highland cow hung on the wall, which felt disconnected from everything else.
For the price they charge, you would expect the basics to be handled. Instead of a doorstop, there was a screwdriver being used to prop the door open. It felt lazy and careless.
Overall, the space lacks attention, effort, and any kind of charm. It feels like an afterthought.
