It's become a staple of the community. You can't visit the Town Greene without stopping in. They have ice cream, couture handmade chocolates, sodas, nostalgia candy for the adults and every type of sweet treat for the kiddos.
My only complaint is more about the kids who hang out in there. There's a cashier stand in the center of the store in a small, square space with one side having the register & customers line. The remaining sides have frozen treats which require employee/cashier assistance.
Numerous times we have found ourselves in line while kids start requesting ice cream, shaved ice... without standing in the main line. Perhaps because we often visit on Friday evening or when there's a packed house. But kids cutting in front of you can add so long to your wait time. We've actually put our candy down and just left the store.
A few weeks ago was horrid. My husband didn't want me going in with our toddler during COVID but I assured him we'd be fine. Kids come in and began looking at ice cream and/or shaved ice. We finally get to the front of the line and the cashier turns to these kids and starts making their shaved ice. Sigh. My husband is standing outside and gives me the look. Double sigh. I look down to talk to my 4 yr old and when I look up, the same kids ordering shaved ice, were now at the register with me, and one girl turned my direction to COUGH! There has to be a better way to accommodate everyone.
