Joren Falls

The waterfall is very large and beautiful. There is a large and easily accessible parking lot. Several shops and small businesses are available to buy souvenirs or grab a quick bite. The view of the waterfall is incredible.

Rained the night before, and in the morning the waterfall is majestic and beautiful. Next to it, a wasabi farm, my first time visiting! There’s a small rest stop with rustic hand-grilled fish.

It’s not a large place, but the variety of foods made with wasabi was excellent. They also offer deer sausage and wild boar sausage. I especially enjoyed the wasabi white chocolate, wasabi dango, and wasabi ice cream. You can buy fresh wasabi grown in the clear stream on-site, and you can also fish there for freshwater fish.

Wow this place is a total GEM and must visit. Not only for the waterfall but to see how Wasabi is made! Try the wasabi ice cream at the end (glad I tried but wouldn't again). This place was a highlight for me fromt he view and all. Go and visit!

Go to Izu_Hanto but not stopping by Joren Falls then it is not completely yet. Story of famous Izu dancers by Kawabata, it is here, this location is within the story, the young student with a young girl encounter through out their trips. Parking is large free, right by the way down to Jorell falls is status of the beautiful two famous innocent, light hearts romance standing. The water falls down by 200 more steps but in well maintained and well cared for every one. Down to the falls you will feel the strong of water running and clean air fresh air. Small shop for wasabi, ice cream and sign up if you want to go fishing there. It is one of the main stops in Izu peninsula if you are interested in the beautiful izu Hanto. Going up after visiting the falls then coffee shop Idoriko's coffee shop. Name from the old train used to run at this side. Gifts shops is also carrying many products, fresh wasabi 's available to purchase if you like. This place is good stop and easy to all. We loved to be here. Thank you

One of the most beautiful waterfall sites anywhere on the world. Surrounded by wasabi fields. Plenty of of parking space. Short hike. Interesting shops selling wasabi and rainbow trouts. Very accessible for those travelling with kids. Not packed with people so you can still get a serene atmosphere at the waterfall. Great drive to the location is a plus

Beautiful, but too touristy. Can't access the river unless you pay for fishing, which is disappointing. Would have been amazing to sit down on a rock and dip feet in the stream. For those who excuse fencing off the falls by claiming protection of environment from tourists - there are hundreds more waterfalls all over Japan that are open but just as clean, so no made up excuses are necessary.

Nice waterfall right next to a parking lot. You need to walk a little bit and there are a bunch of steps to take. At the bottom of the falls theres a Wasabi farm which is cool to see. You can also rent angling gear and try to catch some fish.

What a beautiful spot to pull over and enjoy. The field was so interesting and they have a few shops along the walk down to the falls. There is also trout fishing for those interested. If you come early enough, they sell wasabi ice cream and wasabi dumplings! Yum

[As of October 26, 2019] Today, the wife and I made the drive to Joren Fall. And we weren't disappointed! Fortunately for us, we arrived with the perfect amount of daylight to enjoy the waterfall in all its glory. Parking in the area is easy enough. A souvenir shop, restaurant, and ice cream vendor are available for your pleasure. Be warned if you come after 4pm, they will probably be closing up, so get here early. Stepping down the hill and steps, it opens up to a misty and outstanding view of a raging waterfall. I have seen a few here in Japan, and this one is a beast. A lot of greenery and foliage surrounds you making for the perfect pictures. A lot of people do come to see this, so use them to your advantage! If you have the time, Joren Fall is a sight to behold! fin.
