New Jorge Chávez International Airport

Awful. Charging a cell phone was awful. The place looks like a jail with shops. The staff is useless. Whoever was in charge of this project made a killing. A lot of hype. The former airport was better. They should hire me next time. I'll get it right the first time.

Was my first experience in the “New” Airport Jorge Chávez! My way was quickly because choose to travel in Sunday. 2 nice bridges mark our welcome to the airport. When my taxi left me, people with orange jacket help in all. I win a troller to my bags and the people that rent them not are available to follow you offering that or the others with offering protect your bags. My friends told me that I have to walk a lot but didn’t was that with an authorized taxi. Inside the airport all was perfectly signed and people answer your questions very kindly. Machines and all are the last ones… totally modern and working very well and fast. The line to old people, disabilities and children are very important and are there in all the process Left my preferred country in the world with a kind of proud. A modern and confortable airport is great!!!!

New, modern, and efficient. This is an airport that has taken significant steps. Great introduction to the country that doesn't leave you exhausted.

Complete chaos, my clients are oftentimes having to wait an hour on the tarmac to get a bus rather than a gate. Immigration is now doing biometrics (photos and fingerprints) causing even more delay. The new "modern" airport is almost a replica of the old terminal but far slower. Poor signage and overly aggressive security,. All of this creates major issues with going to and coming from the terminal as well.

This is the new airport, started in operation on 1st June 2025. As compared to old airport, this new terminal is very big. Old one is completely closed for operation and all domestic and international flights are taking off from new terminal. If you are going to airport during office hours, you will notice traffic jams so keep one hour more than what you see in google maps. Airport is big, lots of immigration counters, lots of baggage screening machines, I noticed no delays here. Many good places to eat and there is a big lounge on first floor. There are very few seats near gates. So either go early near gate or come at boarding time.

A shame, a lost opportunity...again! A functional airport which looks like a warehouse. On the functional side, it is easy to navigate and at 10 am all very smooth, even getting there.

Large airport in terms of space. There's quite a walk to the baggage claim, but the airport is clean and staff are helpful/friendly.

Happy for the brand new, nice terminal but from arriving to the stand until passing the passport control we spend over 3h in the queues. It was too much if you just want to grab your bags and continue the journey with another airline. Hope for an improvement on that part
