Super busy and overcrowded airport. I think it's time for a much larger airport. Thankfully I hear they are currently building now. Can't wait to check it out after completion! For Delicass restaurant at the second floor which cannot be reviewed: WORST experience ever! We ordered food and drinks (which is neither fresh nor good) and planned to take a 2-hour rest waiting for flight connection. We paid immediately after ordering - we intended to be polite but this is a huge mistake. After we paid, two waitresses (shown in pic) THREATENED to call “security guard” to kick us off, though half of the restaurant is empty. A place like this should expect that guests are taking a rest at the airport — that’s why we dine in here! Any restaurant which hires such rude and impertinent people is a SHAME. One last word: don’t pay until u are leaving the restaurant, or they would not let you sit for one more second.

Peru's capital city definitely deserves a better, more modern airport than this. Thanks to the people working there everything works (and the airport is clean), but everywhere and everything feels overcrowded and chaotic. Be prepared for a long line for your check-in, in spite of self luggage tagging, which helps, and then another long line for security checks. Everything moves along, but do allow for plenty of time. Same goes for arrivals, especially international arrivals because of custom control being overwhelmed when many flights come in at around the same time. The wait for your luggage, on the other hand tend to be very short, so kudos for that. If you don't have a reservation for your taxi, also be prepared to have to wait for 20-30 minutes at least. In 2024 the road works (for the city's new metro system) create a lot of traffic and congestion around the airport, so do allow extra time for that, as well.

Kind of all. I don’t really understand why you have to go through security again upon arrival from another domestic flight. I understand that for international flights , but for domestics not. Can’t wait until they open the brand new Lima airport.

Nice airport. Could be very crowded, especially in national flights. Not so many chairs or seating area. They recently started to construct a new airport, so hopefully this problem will be solved. Also, there is no public transport to the city, only o e bus which is going without stops directly to the tourist area. Needs improvement in means of transportation. Recent update - if you flight cancelled in the evening and rescheduled in the morning the local airline DOES NOT offer you transport, food vouchers, nothing. You just stuck on the airport floor because the are no seats available. NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT AT NIGHT AVAILABLE. What a shame for a big international airport!!!

It is puzzling how the Peru Customs work at the Lima airport. Upon our arrival, we waited in long lines for the custom officials to review everyone's papers. Right when it was my turn, the official left his post without telling all the people stood in line whether he would return or not. Since he did not say anything, we all assumed that he would return shortly. We can not be more wrong! After 10-20 min, we realized that he would not return, and we had to disperse and went to the end of other lines :( On our way out of Peru, for some strange reasons, the custom officials once again spent long minutes securitizing everyone's papers, and caused LONG LINES. The worst part of all these is that, at the end, we do not even get a passport stamp from Peru custom LOL

The airport isn’t impressive but the staff are very friendly and nice. Unfortunately for departures I couldn’t find a single luggage trolley which seems to be the norm and you have to take the porter service. Limited shops and restaurants.

It is a typical airport but on the smaller side. I was told there is an ongoing construction to expand it and I am glad they are doing that. All the processes we went through were relatively organized. I wish they could use more automated system for their immigration check point which was the longest wait we experienced. But we were almost asked no questions. The two shopping areas are small and only have limited options. I think the bright spot here is their Hanaq lounge. It is large and well organized. The staffers are always busy to either clean it or refill the food. The food option and its taste was so-so but I am here for a relaxing environment mainly. Leaving Peru in few hours, had a good time here. I am impressed by how hard working Peruvians are. Nice country, nice people. God bless them.
