José Balcarce bistró - Restaurante en salta capital

This was an excellent meal. Perhaps the best part was our waiter Rafael, who made us instantly feel at home. He provided great recommendations and was super accommodating of my friend’s gluten allergy. The food was great, but the trout ceviche needed a little more citrus. Otherwise, we loved every bite. We will be back next time we are in Salta!

What a lovely meal we had in this cute place :) We shared the Burrata which was super tasty, totally a must if you like cheese. The main dishes were the fresh trout and I ordered Prime rib which was cooked to perfection. Tasty and a good sized portion, also a must for meat lovers. We did not order dessert but I am sure they were really nice. Service was so good and attentive as soon as you set foot through the door, makes a big difference;) If you are around Salta make sure you try this place out, you will not regret it!

Crews are very friendly and some of them speak good English, which is a plus for tourist. I found a food was okay - llama carpacio was lack of flavor and mashroom staffed paste was opposite too much going on one plate and bit too salty. They have a nice selection of wine by glass. If they focus more on enhancing their kitchen, it would become greater restaurant.

Really fantastic meal, great vegetarian options in an otherwise limited city! Really felt like each dish had a lot of thought put into it. Our waiter was great and gave us some great wine recommendations!

Uh, I don’t know where to start.. the food was AMAZING! If you ever want to treat yourself to something delicious this is the place! Of course it is a bit pricey but let me tell you it is absolutely worth it! Go there and be amazed! If you like Gin, order the Gin which is produced in Salta and tastes a bit different then normal Gin. Rafael the waiter speaks perfect english and is the perfect host. He will guide you to the perfect meal if you don’t know what to eat. So if you‘re in Salta and looking for a place to eat: Go to José Balcarce! You won’t be disappointed!

We managed to get a table by walk-in. But the restaurant filled up fast. Very attentive service. Waiter speaks perfect English. Each course were spectacular! Sweet potatoes were crispy and we had perfectly cooked rib eye. We really enjoy our dinner

Great tasty meal. They didn’t have ceviche when we asked for it. The T-bone & chicken was great tho. Merengue de frutilla desert was delicious.

The food was beautiful here, we had a great dinner, we tried quinoa risotto and beef steak. The steak was incredible, the red wine reduction sauce was so good I want to bottle it!
