From the beginning to the end of the day in Guadalajara, the Jose Cuervo team took excellent care of their guests. From coffee and sweet breads before boarding the train, to lite snacks and bottomless mixed drinks and shots while on the train. The staff and guides are friendly and informative. Once in the pueblo Tequila, an interesting tour of the distillery is provided with some free time to explore the town, its museums, churches and shops. Near the end of the day you are invited to the Jose Cuervo Amphitheater to witness a Ballet Folklorico with gifted musicians and talented dancers. Boarding a bus on the way home you stop at one of Jose Cuervo's agave fields for an informative harvesting demonstration (thank you Antonio) along with more music, more dancing and of course, more tequila. It was an amazing day and we would highly recommend it!
Our only criticisms would be that while the buffett is extensive (and pricey) the food is substandard (service is good). You would do better to eat at one of the many restaurants in Tequila. Also, the buses drop you off in the dark in an obscure area of Tlaquepaque (nearly 30 minutes from the train station in Guadalajara). Jose Cuervo could do better in these areas.
