Google
Such a special special place. Family owned with a family feel, we just love it here. The food is incredible- some of the best escargot we have ever had ( more than once.). Duck, lamb, kebab all fantastic. Eli's knowledge of wine is amazing and he makes fantastic cocktails. This is a TRUE local gem.

Words can’t describe how much my husband and I love this place. It is everything you could wish for in a romantic family owned cozy restaurant with delicious wine and food. We frequent here often and each time we feel more and more at home there which really speaks to the owner his wife and his children who all work here. You can taste the love and attention that is put in to every dish. Its the perfect hidden jewel of Delray for dining. The occasion doesn’t matter- we’ve been here for birthdays, for dinners with my boss, for dinners with friends and with family. Each time has been wonderful! Thank you Joesphs Wine Bar and don’t ever change 🙌🏻

We had the pleasure of dining at Joseph ‘s a few weeks ago. The entire staff could not be nicer and the food was excellent. Caesar salad, beet salad (fresh beets - no need to ask , lol ) escargot, crab cakes….. all excellent but the real winner was Elie Manhattan ! One of the best we’ve ever had. We will be back! Don’t miss dinner at Joseph’s when in Delray ! 🍸🍸

This is a true family run restaurant. Mom is a cook. The dad takes the orders the daughter seats and gives her sweet touch of humor and their son makes an amazing espresso martini every time we’ve gone. It’s been amazing tonight. My husband had the duck and I had the Seabass both delicious

This small bistro style resturant is a jewel. This Lebanese family turns out wonderful dishes with Mediterranean flare. The spinach turnover appetizer was packed with lemon zest and flakey. The Australian lamb chops were cooked to perfection and their hummus as creamy and truely Mediterranean in spice and texture. Salmon was delicious and the seared tuna was beautiful and tasty but I would get the salmon the next time and the steak looks great. We also had an almond cake with strawberries for dessert which was a slice of sweet clouds. They have a Cotes De Rhone on the wine list that is amazing. The whole family treats you like family . Definitely make reservations, be flexible because it will be worth it.

I have been coming to Joseph's for many years. The family who runs the restaurant is both efficient and charming. I own several restaurants in NY and appreciate just how hard it is to maintain the consistently high quality food that they have provided for many years! I also feel that it is important to respond to a negative review of the daughter that was posted a few days ago. I happened to be in the restaurant the night that the individual who wrote that review was there. The daughter was certainly not rude or unprofessional! Perhaps the reviewer who had had several drinks at the bar was simply out of sorts herself.

Google
We arrived early and had the opportunity to visit with Joseph and family. The extensive wine inventory is one of the finest in PBC, and our meals we perfectly prepared. The entire experience was as good as it gets in Florida.

Yelp
During a very difficult time for our family in July 2025, Joseph's Wine Bar and Café became a place of comfort. After long nights at the hospital while my mother-in-law was in ICU, we twice found Joseph's open late and serving dinner. We were exhausted, heartbroken, and not ourselves, yet Joseph and his son welcomed us like family. They listened, prayed for us, and gave us a warm place to rest when we needed it most. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere carried a kindness that went far beyond a typical restaurant experience. On one occasion, even when the restaurant was closed, Joseph himself came out to check on us and was visibly moved when we shared that our mom had passed the night before. His compassion was genuine and unforgettable. Joseph's is not just a restaurant--it's a place run by people who truly care. If you are in Delray Beach, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you visit and support this wonderful family and their beautiful restaurant.

Yelp
This is the cutest little place! So charming! Family owned. Service from the father (owner) and his son & daughter was exceptional. Excellent food and drinks. Would totally recommend, and will be back again.

Yelp
Joseph's is a small, family-run mediterranean+ style restaurant (with a mix of Italian) in the hot-spot scene known as The Ave (along and in the surrounds of the Atlantic Avenue) in Delray Beach, FL. Joseph's is a favorite place of the locals and visitors to dine and during season (roughly October to April but especially Dec/Jan/Feb) it can be a challenge to find a table during the busy hours of the eve. I agree with one of the other Yelp reviewers that it is a "little gem" in the neighborhood that I hope will be around for a long time. I've been to Joseph's probably about 5 times since I moved to the area a few years ago and have always loved it. A few weeks ago when I last dined there, we got the grape leaves, brie, and the crap cake as apps (plus great bread), and the bartender/son Eli made us a delish espresso martini filled to the brim of the glass which he carefully delivered to our table. Joseph talked us thru the menu (his wife is the very talented cook) and for entrees we got the duck and the tuna. The duck was slightly sweet and tender, and the tuna was seared well with seeds on the sides of the sliced pieces and drizzles of sauces on the plate to swoosh-up when eating.

Yelp
By the powers vested in me given by Yelp, I officially declare Joseph's the crown jewel of downtown Delray. No restaurant does it better. Family run for ever since I can remember, Joseph and his daughter/son combo are the most gracious of hosts. Always willing to strike up a conversation or crack a joke, the pleasantries alone are worth the trip. The food, however, is why you'll be coming back. The menu is mostly Lebanese and French inspired, but Mediterranean is the name of the game. The execution of simple fresh ingredients is masterful. The duck a lorange is beautifully golden and crispy on the outside, perfectly tender and juicy inside....if it's on the menu, do not hesitate! The escargot is a must! Everything that hits your table screams fine dining and leaves your wanting more. Josephs is not all about fine dining. The wine and spirits menu is so extensive, this can honestly exist alone as a wine bar. In fact, with over 2000 bottles of wine, it's in the name....Joseph's wine bar. Not my thing, but they've certainly got that covered. I'll be honest, I wasn't always fond of Joseph's. I used to frequent the restaurant next door for years and years, always curiously wondering why our neighbors were having such a great time. Perhaps it was the friendly banter from Joseph and his family, or maybe the wine had everyone giddy all along. This food brings me joy! Whatever your reason, make your way to Joseph's and I assure you you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
5 stars for ambiance! Family owned restaurant - where the family cares about their customers. Friendly, attentive, and warm service. Eli the bartender (son) takes great pride in his mixology skills and we appreciated it! We ordered a beet salad to share and they split it for us. It was delicious. The duck was exceptionally good. The restaurant is on the expensive side (just like most of the rest of the neighborhood). We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
We have been coming here regularly for the last few years and the experience is always excellent. Unfortunately, I do not live in the area now so the visits are not as common but we still make the trip as often as we can. All the family is so friendly. Eli always helps us with picking out a great glass or bottle of wine and his sister and father are so nice. Its amazing how much work they put into getting some amazing wines. It is very cozy and always busy so be sure to make reservations. The lamb chops are unreal. Cant wait for our next visit

Yelp
I went here for a friend who was visiting from out of town. I was here a very long time ago and wasn't disappointed. It is a small place and I was very pleased with how quaint and lovely the owner and the wait staff were to us. It is a blend of Mediterranean and Lebanese food! It is totally delicious. They gave you this great bread and olive oil to begin I had the escargot au beurre blanc, garlic butter wine and oregano. I usually don't get this dish because it is so rich but once in a blue moon I do and this was that time. It was delicious. I also had the walnut crusted salmon topped with walnut garlic coconut flakes and finished with white wine lemon sauce, served with steamed vegetables and basmati rice. There isn't a dish I wouldn't like. My friend had the caesar salad with heart of romaine and garlic croutons. He also had the tuna and loved it. We skipped dessert as we were very full. No one rushed us through our meal. There was only one other group dining - they came in after us and left before us. But all was good. It definitely is a special dining place and worth it.

Yelp
Sat outside of this quiet small lovely bistro. Our waiter was Joseph the owner. Started out with his wife's baked bread that was baked with love! It was fantastic! I ordered a glass of Reisling that was smooth and inviting. My husband ordered the chicken kebabs whereas I have been dying for their escargot and believe me it was worth the wait the escargot was smothered in garlic and covered in a light coat of bread crumbs. It met every expectation. I also ordered the Caesar salad but I was so full of happiness I had to take it home. My husband ate his plate completely! And enjoyed every morsel. Now it began to rain in the middle of our meal but the awning protected us and kept us dry. Now the real problem happened after dinner when we walked to our car and forgot where we parked it. Walking in the rain was not exciting. We called my sister who picked up the numbskulls and drove us around till we realized we had been one block away from our car. Oh!

Yelp
I dined at this restaurant tonight. It is 5 stars+ across the board! Don't hesitate to go, you will want to go again. The food, wine and personalized attention is fantastic! If you live here this restaurant should be one of your top 10!

Yelp
First time coming here. We sat at the bar since we thought we were only going for drinks and apps but ended up staying for dinner. As other reviewers have said, we were greeted By Joseph and his kids Elie and Romy. It's crazy but you really do feel warm and happy when you go to a family owned restaurant. Great human beings. So, for the food: Escargot : it was really good, more on the creamy side Grape leaves : classic Mediterranean dish. Must get. Kebabs: you can't go wrong with it. Sea bass: good flavor and great piece of fish Everyone wore masks and tables were at a great distance from each other. Definitely coming back :)

Yelp
My favorite dining establishment of any in the area! My late husband and I frequented Joseph's often, but I have not been back in three years. I finally decided to introduce my boyfriend to this fabulous restaurant. It is run by Joseph, with his wife, cooking, and his daughter and son, tending to tables and the bar. The escargot is so unique and we also had the Ahi tuna entrée. Let's not even forget the amazing fresh baguette that comes steaming g to the table with garlic herb oil. Lordy! My bf was blown away! I hesitate to send this review as I like that Joseph's is intimate, small and amazing and I want it to stay a hidden gem. Call for reservations as it fills up quickly! I would give it ten stars if I could!

Yelp
Joseph's was a wonderful revelation in Delray. Family owned, Joseph is the generous host, his lovely daughter and charming son also contributed to an evening that seemed like dining in a cozy family's home. The food was terrific. We had the outstanding house-made hummus, best I've had in the US--we have traveled extensively in both Israel and the UAE and know good hummus when we have it! My husband had the duck special, which was perfectly cooked with tender meat and crispy skin, and I had the perfectly spiced beef kebabs. The wine list is very good, too. All in all the best meal we have had in Delray, so good we went back again four days later. And it was just as great!

Manhattan N.

Yelp
I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant and would come again. It is a great space with outdoor seating. The service is unbeatable - lead by the owner and his children. The food is fantastic - would order everything again - the best bread and olive oil to start. Salad, Hummus, tuna ( each very light and flavorful), lamb chops, chocolate flourless cake - great.

Manny D.

Yelp
We went here last night. Family owned and run, they take care in every detail. The food was amazing, hummus made in house was incredible, steak was cooked exactly as we wanted, and the ambience was relaxed and charming. Highly recommend and will be going back next time in Delray.

Jeff M.

Yelp
i have been coming here for nearly 10 years! And I go out to dinner 2-3 times a week between Jupiter and Bova! There is absolutely in my opinion not a better restaurant for consistently wonderful food, the best drinks, and a personal connection! Joseph's family are beautiful, kind, and genuine!! I feel like we are family! The best restaurant period!

Darrylin B.

Yelp
wonderful service wonderful food wonderful cocktails wonderful people make a reservation

Yelp
Joseph's Wine Bar is truly a family restaurant with the owner's wife making the dessert's and his son and daughter serving the food. It's also quite quirky and after having drinks from the corporate Ray Hotel (Hilton) across the street it was welcoming. Joseph's was packed on a weekday but it didn't feel cramped and service was still excellent. I had an appetizer that was okay, but it was really the Lamb Chops that were fantastic. They were perfectly cooked and flavorful and I really don't think I've ever had better. We had a good house made lemon cake for dessert. Joseph is a great host and I'm looking forward to going back.

Lola B.

Yelp
The food is always tasteful at Joseph's and sitting outside is so pleasant. It's a true family run business and everyone in the family are personable and an interesting characters. I highly recommend.

Yelp
My fiance surprised me with reservations at Joseph's during a quick getaway to Delray Beach for the weekend. When we got there , Joseph himself greeted us and took us to a table for two by the vast wine wall. We were the only ones there at 7:45 pm. And I thought to myself , this isnt a very popular restaurant. Boy was I wrong. At the strike of 8 pm, the place filled up every seat in the house. Looked like alot of locals were dining at Josephs and they should know best right? They sure do. This place was filled with energy, laughter and conversations. Joseph and my fiance Carl were addressing each other by first names as if they were long time friends. Joseph recommended an excellent red wine, Emmolo...Let's just say that was the FIRST time we ever ordered "2" bottles of wine at a restaurant. Probably one of our top favorites now. He introduced us to his children who would be taking care of us for the evening. We ordered the escargot. A delicious piping hot bowl with a cheese puff on top of the most amazing flavorful seasoned escargot under it. My fiance, got the lamb , which was cooked just right and melted in your mouth and I got the Salmon dish. All cooked to perfection. I think we ooohed and Ahhed through the whole dinner. Did I mention the ambience of this place? Although , conversations were loud, you still felt like you were at your own intimate dinner and could only hear each other. Joseph's restaurant ranks up there in the top two of the best restaurants we have been to and we go out alot to eat when we travel. You can tell this family has a love for good food and providing excellent service. A fantastic anniversary dinner for us. Thank you Joseph!

Yelp
Went here with my aunt food was super good the steak duck and lamp chops were all amazing tuna was very good as well but not on the same level

Yelp
The best restaurant in Delray! Anytime we're in Florida we make it a point to come here at least once for dinner. The service is amazing. The server is super friendly and always knows what food to recommend. He was also very knowledgeable about the wine list! For appetizers we had the Brie and the Spinach turnovers. The Brie was perfectly cooked and the fruit was perfectly sliced on the side. The turnovers had the most amazing flavor. Flaky on the outside and warm on the inside! For dinner my mom ordered the tuna (which we both had last time we came here). The best tuna we've ever tasted. I switched it up this time and had the lamb. Best decision!! The lamb was tender and the seasoning and herbs on the outside were perfect! We'll definitely be back soon.
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
Food is five star, bar is well stocked. This is a five star restaurant, easy. Escargot is the best that I've had. Steak Au Poivre and the sides? Mon dieu! Perfect. Best I think I've ever had, even in Paris (And they don't even make me sit in the bathroom for speaking English!) What's nice is that this lovely Lebanese family has both classic French cuisine, with s fab of Mediterranean. It's mom's recipes for all of it. Her stuffed grape leaves? To die for. Hummus? Transports you to the best Lebanese cafe. It's a small place. The owners are truly delightful people who bend over backwards to make customers feel welcome and well taken care of. You simply must come!

Yelp
This was the highlight of the night. This family is so sweet and care about their customers
google avatar

Yelp
As a single female traveler I'm not always comfortable in restaurants alone- but Joseph's is perfect. A seat at the bar. Friendly banter with the father, son, and daughter, wonderful wine, and the best tuna I have EVER had. I would come back again and again- this is a lovely intimate restaurant where they take their food and drink seriously, but in a very warm friendly atmosphere. Ps- the lemon cake is light and fabulous!
google avatar

Donald F.

Yelp
I went to Joseph's for the first time this past weekend and it far surpassed the 4.9 rating. This place could literally be a 2 Star Michelin Restaurant. Everything from service to the very last bite was delicious. We had lamb and seared tuna... and all I can say is -- go try it! It melts in your mouth. Thank you! And we will be back soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Since moving to Delray my lady and I have walked by this place a few times saying we should stop in and have dinner. Well yesterday was the day. I called to make a reservation and was able to get the time I wanted at 7pm. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and seated by a wonderful table by the window. I started out with a Caesar salad and my lady had the Caprese salad. Each were done to perfection! Dinner consisted of duck for me and Michelle had the chicken. Both were very tasty and prepared very well. Overall, a great experience! If I had one suggestion, may an additional staff member. Service was a bit slow but the food and atmosphere made up for it. We will be back!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of visiting this place last night. Awesome service, family run. The ambiance is nice for a date night, the place is small and cozy. The waitress was Romy and the server/bar tender was Eli (brother and sister). Romy was very friendly and welcoming, so was the dad, and brother. We ordered salads, a Greek and Tabbouleh both were excellent. My dinner partner also had the spinach pie which came in a pastry crust. I would definitely recommend this place. I would go back to try some other items on the menu and just enjoy the ambiance.

Lynn K.

Yelp
Food is good, but apparently service is reserved only for their regular customers. It's a very small, family run business (only 7-8 tables + bar seating) so one would expect amazing service. After finishing our meal we waited patiently as they mingled with the regulars. Our plates were finally cleared and our leftovers boxed. We waited and waited, but no one ever came over to ask if we wanted desert, coffee or the check so we eventually got their attention and asked for the check. We then waited and waited and waited again. It wasn't until they literally just happened to notice us (almost 20 minutes later) that they suddenly remembered the check. As we were leaving I told the owner that we were disappointed with the service and he asked (as he was holding the door open for us to leave) if we wanted desert. I guess they have enough business from their regulars and are not that interested in new patrons. But after paying $181.00 for 2 people, I think we deserved more.

Yelp
Love this place!! Joseph and his family make you feel like you are part of theirs. Excellent food, superb service!! Do yourself a favor and check them out

Yelp
I miss JOSEPH's .... I used to live in Boca Raton and shop at The Towncenter.... wish that you can open in Fort Lauderdale as there aren't a place that has fresh delishhhh food takeout.... CONSIDER OPENING NEAR LAS OLAS!! thank you !!!!!

Dee Dee E.

Yelp
Joseph's was a quaint rare gem!! It's a family run business driven by serving quality delicious food with love in a nice atmosphere. Joseph and his adult children truly care about their customers which is a rarity. Everything was very fresh and portions generous. We will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. What a terrific dining experience. My husband said the duck was the best he's ever had and my beef kabobs were also outstanding. Be sure to try the halloumi appetizer. Another plus: Joseph and his family!! If you are lucky, you will get to meet them too.
google avatar

Nico L.

Yelp
The food is average for the expensive price. Most importantly be prepared to enjoy your dinner with a hefty dose of cigarette smoke. The owner and waiter literally sat at a table chain smoking while we ate. Cigarette after cigarette. I felt like I was in a Turkish coffee shop. Instead visit the next door restaurant Brulee Bistro which has friendly service and an excellent rotating menu. Joe's cigarette bar is not worth it.
google avatar

Walter C.

Yelp
Hidden Gem! Excellent hospitality and Wine selection. The decor is decadent and the dining area intimate.
google avatar

CJ B.

Yelp
Best food in Delray without comparison, you can always rely on the consistent taste and quality. The family owned dynamic is awesome and they always make you feel at home with family. Highly recommend Joseph's!
google avatar

Yelp
Needing a break from the kids my wife asked for dinner out. I used TripAdvisor, open table, & yelp to locate what I thought could be a quite spot with excellent food that wasn't needlessly overpriced. When we arrived at Joseph's we were immediately greeted and they had our table waiting by the window with a small candle. The hostess was the owner's daughter and the waiter his son. We ordered a med appetizer and to our delight found everything to be fresh and home made. Mom was cooking in the kitchen and it seemed we were eating family recipes. We enjoyed the Greek salad that was loaded with freshness and finished with the walnut crusted salmon. Simply delightful people and food. cheers!
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
Fantastic food, even better service. The family that owns this restaurant is just lovely. Thank you for and incredible meal.
google avatar

Marney R.

Yelp
Don't bother trying to go here. The owner now has two strikes. First strike: yelled at a patron for trying to pay his bill with a $100. Not sure who does that but ok. We just tried to go here and as we walked in we didn't get a hello. We got a "we aren't taking anyone else now!" Four of us. Instead of kindly saying that they're at capacity and would love to see us back another time (like any normal person would) we got yelled at. Horrific service. Wont EVER try and bring my business here.
google avatar

Yelp
Phenomenal restaurant! Small family owns this and it shows! What a secret gem! The staff was so kind and treats you like family. The seating is nice- inside and out. We sat outside BOTH times yes I went twice lol in a week! The AHI TUNA is amazing! Yo just get it... also liked the wine the server suggested... I forget now... they will help you w deciding! We also go the chicken kebabs - and the Brie to start! All these choices were perfect it was so hard to chose the menu is great! We didn't feel too full either which means they use good olive oil and no preservatives etc. I will be coming back again and again- honestly not too pricey for what you get. Ah and don't fill up on bread even though it's perfect crispy outside and soft center and comes with a oregano oil to dip! Bravo! 6 stars :) I also came back for the mahi and creme brule! I am addicted!

Lindsey A.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing restaurant!! Joseph is such a welcoming host and makes you feel like part of the family. Delicious food, warm homemade bread, and phenomenal service. Best restaurant in Delray!
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars on this Zagat rated gem in Pineapple Grove. Joseph and his family staff are experts at food, ambiance and friendly service. We enjoy taking friends and family to Joseph's. Try the lamb chops and escargot, some of the best ever!

Yelp
Owner and family are real nice people, and food is excellent. Tried the duck, and was wonderful. Had a great date night with wife.

Yelp
Exelent food and excellent service. The owner and his son r amazing people. Best tiramisu so far. 5 stars for the mother She cook and bake everything . Highly recommended.

Yelp
As a Delray local for over 2 years now, I can say with confidence that this is my favorite place to eat dinner. I had the Mahi Mahi tonight and it was easily in the top five of best meals I've ever had. It's a family operation and they all have an obviously genetic trait of amazing photographic memory. They remembered my name after my first visit, as well as whatever I ordered six months ago.
google avatar

Karen F.

Yelp
This place was amazing. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We had rack of lamb (cooked and seasoned to perfection) and filet mignonette which was so tender and tasty (and this comes from a former pescatarian). The family who owns Joseph's work so well together and strive to make the dining experience great - they succeeded with us! We will be back and bringing friends.

Zack I.

Yelp
We had an enjoyable meal with very tasty food that unfortunately ended poorly. At 7:45 our entrees were cleared and I asked Joseph (who is extremely friendly and funny) for the dessert menu. At 8:20 I walked down the block for ice cream after no one had returned to our table for over a half hour. Having two servers for fifteen plus tables during the dinner rush caused us to be forgotten. Both servers working extremely hard, which I do appreciate, but adding a staff member would have changed this meal dramatically and it would have possibly been the best meal of our trip. Instead, we are left with a sour taste in our mouth. Maybe staffing shortages have impacted your business and if so, I understand and apologize. Would have loved to try dessert as the rest of the meal was extremely tasty, but waiting that long was definitely unfortunate.

Yelp
Don't miss the escargots! They are prepared with a delicious topping. Amazing!! I had the duck à l'orange. It was flavorful with the skin crispy and tender inside! My boyfriend had the filet. He is very picky. He could not stop raving about it! We will be back. Great cozy place with amazingly thoughtful service!
