So, we got this recommendation from a local first due to their steaks then second becuz they also provide a bus to the Spurs games for eating with them.
So we get there around 5pm. We are asked if we are joining the bus. We said yes, if we are on time. They said absolutely.
We sat down, service was a bit slow, but they came to the table and got our drink orders by 515 and ask if we are ready to order. (We are told the bus leaves at 615) i said, are u sure we will have time to order and eat and go. Again, they say ABSOLUTELY. Time goes by and we need another drink......when she comes with the drink, I mention I'm getting worried and ask what's the ETA.on the food. She says she will check. Let me say, the waitress was very nice and tried. But at about 10 min til departure the food is still not here. She said she will talk to her manager. Not to draw out the whole interaction explaining how I basically just paid $42 for a bus ticket, the manager made it right. She was not rude, she was just disheveled from the busy evening. And I appreciated it.
My takeaway and opinionated advice would be to maybe change the requirement of an entree that takes time to a dollar amount required to obtain a ticket.
So I could have ordered drinks and appetizers that would have actually resulted in more money spent and would have had a positive experience.
Another is to have a cutoff time for the bus as well. They know their speed, the patrons don't.
Other than that, everyone was kind and tried and just got slammed and couldn't budge on the requirement of an entree that must be ordered that caused the issues.
It's a pretty cool experience! If they hammer the issues it would make for a really cool evening.
Give it a try. I really wish I tried the food everyone raves about it.
