Sophisticated flavors in a rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Josephine's feels like both an authentic Montana experience and a classy European treat. The food is fresh, the flavors are expertly executed, and the staff could not be more professional, warm, and welcoming. We sampled many dishes, and it is clear that each one is crafted with much thought, expertise, and passion. Accompanying many of the dishes is some of the best pita I have ever tasted. This place deserves a Michelin star (or two), and is well worth a visit.

If Montana is ever getting added to the Michelin guide, I bet this place will get recognized! The food is “tapas” style and the cuisine is diverse and modern. a lovely setting and super cozy. Gorgeous! We didn’t have a reservation but got a table around 9PM after a long day of hiking. Everything we got was delicious!! The portion sizes were decent and were well priced for the quality and attention that had gone into the food. Our favorite was the yakitori style chicken thighs. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Google
Absolutely amazing teamwork by the ladies working on 9/25. Food was delicious but not enough 😂 I needed about three more lamb chops. The huckleberry sour drink I ordered was amazing! Just a good, enjoyable meal with great service. Vibes were somewhat ruined by a group of loud cackling women, but I was finished eating so it is what it is lol.

Google
Akin to a tapas style restaurant which isn't explained well when dinning. Really great food, fresh, high quality, variety of dishes well prepared and certainly an elevated dinning experience in this area. The fact that the dishes come out one at a time and are smaller appetizer portions means if sharing with more than 2 people, this place gets pricy fast for larger groups. Also, this is a place best visited when you have plenty of time to dine and aren't coming in starving from an 11 mile hike. It took 15 minutes to be served hummus . However, the food is excellent.

In a sea of restaurants in this area that all serve pretty much the same bland Americana, this place is a shining beacon of hope for diners here. Absolutely incredible food. It was so good you will have to excuse our half eaten plates in the photo I should have taken one when it first came out but it was too good. We had 4 dishes and every single one of them was executed perfectly. The gluten free options don’t leave you hanging either! They make a gluten free crostini that came with the mussels and it is divine! It’s kind of euro style the dishes come out as the chef prepares them, so sharing is the way to go. We were so well taken care of. The staff is lovely. It’s a beautiful spot. We are so fortunate to have this out here in the Canyon, thank you.

Google
Waited way too long for two mains. Got a tiny piece of salmon, vegetable apparently meant 2 tiny peppers and 3 small potatoes. Charging 32$ for that is just an audacity. In addition, the salmon was overcooked and the whole dish was lacking salt. On the bright side the restaurant looks really cool and the entre was alright. But not good enough to let me forget about the main course. The chicken skewers on the neighbors table looked good and were less than half the price I paid for the salmon. Should have gone with them I guess...

Google
Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. We loved the Hearts of Palm salad and the Lamb Chops - wonderful flavors! We hope to eat at Josephine’s again asap!

Google
One of my favorite things to do is dine out and have good drinks. I live North of Seattle, WA and I would make special trips just to eat here. 5 out of 5 stars for me and my group of 5. The staff was friendly, the food amazing, and the locally sourced (right next door) alcohol which they concoct into incredibly drinks rounds out the experience.

Yelp
Food is scrumptious. Service is good - fast and efficient Ambience is cozy. Except for if you have a loud patron- their voice just reverberates in the entire dining area. That's why I took out 1 star - too loud

Yelp
What a surprising gem in Coram, MT, not far from West Glacier. There's not a lot of fine dining, and this was fine dining food in a casual, pretty environment. Our server was excellent, and they all seemed to work together. We sat outside, and while a bit rustic (it is MT after all) with the flowers and trees beyond that it was quite pretty. honestly I didn't pay much attention to the details inside the restaurant. Hubs had the lamb chops which were served with a delicious cauliflower purée and sweet peppers. I had the marinated chicken thighs, and we shared the hummus/tzatziki starter. It was all excellent. Their cocktails are inventive and use local liquors, and wines are limited but nice selection in our opinion. We leave town tomorrow or we would definitely be back.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. We were here for our 40th anniversary and enjoyed every bite! Go with all three: appetizer, entrees, dessert!

Yelp
What a great find! I've been here twice in the last week, tried various menu options, and have not been disappointed. The wait staff, kitchen and bartender are a team worthy of dedication to service and customer satisfaction. Their energy and professionalism are second to none as they are engaged in the task at hand. Provide a great meal with quality ingredients in a comfortable setting that's pleasant and satisfying. Well done and kudos to the staff at JS!

Yelp
This was an adorable little restaurant! Not only was the aesthetic warm and inviting, but the service and food were top tier! If you are looking for a fun, interactive, and delicious dinner experience this is a must! The mussels were some of the best I've had, but everything was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
I have barely any reviews on yelp and I had to make sure everyone knew how incredible this place was. The service was so fast and friendly; we ordered the muscles & clams, risotto, and potatoes to share. I'm originally from San Diego and these are THE BEST MUSCLES IVE EVER HAD !!!!!! Going to plan a trip back just to eat here again. And the ambiance!!!! Oh my gosh literally cannot recommend this place enough. And don't forget the cheesecake!!!!!
google avatar

Bryna K.

Yelp
Food was unique and delicious! Service was top notch and friendly. Fun atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor dinning. One of our best meals on this trip. Hard to find but worth looking for!

Katie K.

Yelp
The charming outside dinning area. The service was excellent from the server to the busser. The mushroom risotto was the best risotto outside of an Italian restaurant. The cauliflower purée was like a velvet. Everything was excellent.

Yelp
Our party of 5 arrived early and were seated immediately. We were served by the friendliest staff person who was very attentive and helpful. Her service was spot on. She suggested our party try the "sharing" option of family style dining where the food we ordered was all different and served in no particular order and shared by all. It was fabulous. Each dish was a culinary delight that everyone got a portion of. All of the food was A+ in presentation, quality, and taste. We will definitely be back, especially since the menu changes often.

Craig A.

Yelp
After reading the many 5 star reviews, I thought this would be a good spot for dinner after drinks at the awesome distillery next door. I was wrong. It is a cute little place, with outdoor seating. Unfortunately, we could not get a table outside, and had to sit inside and endure mind numbing blaring rock music. Now I'm a fan of rock, but do not want Guns n Roses and Bon Jovi blasting in a tiny dining room so loud I can't even talk to the other people in my group. If it was just two of us I would have left, but could not do that in a group of seven. I didn't even bother to order food as I would not have enjoyed it. They say they want you to share your food. It appears that is a way of serving a small amount of food with no side dish and charging a lot for it. An example: my wife ordered meatballs. There were 3 smallish meatballs in sauce with 2 slices of bread for 20 bucks! No pasta? Which is cheap! And it came out 15 minutes before everyone else's food! How was she supposed to share? The chicken skewers a couple people ordered had two skewers with a Korean BBQ sauce and a cut up piece of pita bread. No little bit of rice? Now as far as the taste of the food, everyone said their food was delicious, which is the reason for the two stars. I realize that most of the restaurants around this area are bar food type joints, and this is trying to be different, but the "sharing" thing is ridiculous. Find some decent dining music and serve at least a decent portion for the price. Sorry.

Robert S.

Yelp
Excellent escape from the burger and fries restaurants that dominate the area. Fine dining quality small plates. Recommend if your tired of mundane tourist meals!

Zoe K.

Yelp
Had such a great experience at the distillery! Went to Josephine's and was excited for dinner! Waited for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from host staff. Several names were called and one couple added to the wait list but no one came back to address us or the 2 couples behind us. Hopefully will try again sometime soon!

Yelp
Excellent food, drinks and atmosphere! Have been here for a cocktail class and now dinner...will definitely be back!

Chris T.

Yelp
This was a great find! Charming restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was amazing! We enjoyed the 3 dishes we ordered, Palm salad ( my favorite because all the ingredients were super fresh and locally sourced), mussels and grilled chicken skewers. Liked that the dishes were "shared/family style", that's the way my husband and I prefer to eat. Server was pleasant. So glad we ate here! Highly recommend!

Mike P.

Yelp
What an amazing place! Grace is a sweetheart of a server. The food was delicious, we went 2 nights in a row!! Highly recommend! Great drinks, amazing steak was perfectly cooked and as tender as can be. Would go back over and over again.

Bret P.

Yelp
Great service and great food! Love the location coming out of the park! This is a summertime staple of ours

Heather R.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Service was great too. We went twice while visiting Glacier National Park.

Yelp
We ordered ALL the garden plates to share, and WOW. DELICIOUS. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Annex to Glacier Distilling. After sampling a whiskey tasting, we went right next door to get some food. Bison gyro was simply amazing! The tatziki sauce is definitely something worth remembering; so refreshingly bright. For the table we also ordered a few appetizers like the trout cakes and cheese plate. Would have loved to try their cocktails but was already buzzed from the whiskey tasting earlier. Note: they close for business at the end of the season (we happened to stop by on the last day;Labor day).

Yelp
Josephine's is an awesome place to kick-back and relax while enjoying good food and great drinks that have a unique local twist! Located next to Glacier Distilling Company, Josephine's is a two-minute walk up the hill, next to the tasting room. Their menu features various dishes made from local fare and the cocktails are mixed with Glacier Distilling's finest. After sampling some of the great spirits down at the tasting room, my wife and I decided to head up to Josephine's for dinner and drinks. The cocktail list has something for everyone, but if you like Gin, I recommend you try the Glacier 75, a classic French 75 mixed with some Huckleberry liquer. It you want something on the simpler, try the house G&T with Huckleberry Gin. As for food, the Smoked Trout Cake was excellent, served with lightly fried okra which was a nice complement. The Bison Gyro was also delicious and filled with flavor. If you're dining with someone who has food sensitivities, the staff there is happy to cater to your needs if you ask them. They sent me a gluten-free substitute for the pita bread, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I was thoroughly by my time at Josephine's. I hope to visit again sometime soon! PRO TIP: The kitchen is only open on select days. Call ahead to make sure they're serving food before you go there.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! The food and service is exceptional. A nice change from the park burger and fry joints.

Yelp
I love Montana but a lot of their restaurants serves almost the same thing. Burgers, fries, pulled pork, salads, fish and chips etc. after 2 days of eating the same thing. My wife and discovered Josephine's in Coram and they' were busy when we came in but was able to sit within 5 minutes. It's a small place with outside sitting that reminded me of some European restaurant. Warm quaint setting. Food was delicious, I tried their fettuccine bolognese, a little adjustment of salt and pepper with Parmesan cheese according to my taste and it was amazing. My wife ordered Salmon with grilled veggies and it was cooked to perfection. All their items here are shareable, they will give you small plates like in Tapas restaurant and the portion was just enough to satisfy your hunger and taste. They don't serve coffee but it was okay because we finished our dinner with raspberry cheesecake. Highly recommended and the hosts and staffs were really hospitable. Sorry we were so hungry and forgot to take pictures of the place and foods...

Yelp
This is such a wonderful change-of-pace than the typical touristy spots in West Glacier. This is just outside of Glacier National Park and is pretty hidden and easy to pass by if you're not looking. There is some parking at the front but there's more parking in the back. They have happy hour from 12pm-2pm where they don't sell food but they have $2 off cocktails. The spirits that they use in the drinks are distilled next door at Glacier Distilling Company as they're the same owners. They also make their own bitters, shrubs, and infusions. My first drink was the northern lights ($12) which has big absinthe flavors even though they only put 0.5oz in it. It's light and refreshing from the San Pellegrino but I'd only recommend this drink if you're a fan of anise or absinthe. My second drink was the heartshine ($10) which is a tart and nice cocktail. My last drink was the nutty professor ($10) which is similar to a white russian but more nutty from the walnut liqueur. My bartender Patrick was amazing and he made some great drinks and provided such a great experience. He also told me about the tastings that they have next door at Glacier Distilling for $5 if I wanted to try more of the cocktails and liqueurs on the menu.

Adina K.

Yelp
Lovely! Food and cocktails are superb. We had to try after learned about it when we were at Glacier Distillery. It's a gem! We would be going back again if we weren't leaving the area. The vibe is also great. It has high-end food and drinks but relaxed atmosphere. We came after a half-day rafting tour, and our 7 yo, and didn't feel out of place. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Cute and quaint spot with wonderful cocktails and appetizers. Also great for a light dinner. You can sit back and relax on the coach, sit at a table or the bar.

Christian G.

Yelp
Terrific place, terrific service, amazing place! Fettuccine, shrimp, steak, drinks, this is what a "fancy" eating establishment should be. The food here actually has flavor, actual taste. It's not just a cute name with a great look. They care about their guest here, and it's a little slice of heaven with every bite. This place deserves at least 1 Michelin star.
google avatar

Virginia B.

Yelp
So glad my husband I and decided to stop in for a quick drink. Not only is the atmosphere so quaint and chill, the drinks are dangerously smooth. I had the Pear Cub and Glacier 75, my hubs had the Fireweed Old Fashioned and Dragonstail Single Malt, neat. The drinks were very light on the palette and refreshing, not overly sweet. Jackie, our server, was fantastic. She rounded out the evening with pleasant chit chat and a spunky sense of humor. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Judd T.

Yelp
Really cool atmosphere and just what we were looking for! Food and drinks were amazing!
google avatar

Chrystal C.

Yelp
Phenomenal meal Cocktails were excellent though we preferred the Sunrift Sour to the Trappers Delight. Strong drinks! Buttermilk fried chicken with dipping sauces on the side were phenomenal (the buffalo sauce was nice and light too!) Poutine hit the spot after numerous miles of hiking Bison gyro was amazing Mushroom melt was solid (we added bacon obviously and were pleased it was thick-cut) Pitcher of water was brought out (thank goodness, we needed to hydrate too) Cute space Indoor and outdoor seating available Good COVID precautions from the staff

Katie G.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Every bite was phenomenal. Our kids enjoyed it as much as the adults. Bolognese was delicious. Chicken thighs scrumptious. Salmon was awesome! And even the meatballs as an appetizer... can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Amy Y.

Yelp
Stopped in around 8:30 after a day of hiking in Glacier and 1) they were able to seat us (yay!) and 2) I was sooo pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere outside was cute, food & drinks were just straight up GOOD. Only wish we were staying closer to the area so I could have tried more of the menu!
google avatar

Andrew G.

Yelp
OK, so Coram is not the center of the universe and we were not expecting much in the way of dining experiences. However, we stumbled first upon the Coram Whisky Distillery which is a great place to visit and then onto Josephine's Speakeasy. Our experience in Coram the night before, suggested that we shouldn't expect much, but Josephine's turned out to be an absolute gem. The staff is wonderful, the cocktails are out of this world as well as being extraordinarily original and the food was delicious. The setting, a small cabin atop a hillside is delightful and if you are looking for a place to dine anywhere near the West Gate of Glacier National Park, you cannot find a better place to eat. Just lovely.
google avatar

Katherine L.

Yelp
The fact that I forgot to take a picture of the food before devouring either shows how hungry we were after a long day of hiking, or how good the food was! My friend and I shared the prime rib sandwich and their poutine fries. The prime rib sandwich came with house-made chips. That was the least favorite part of our meal. I wasn't expecting the texture that the chips were; it was slightly thicker and not as crunchy as I wish. Standard house-made chips, though. However, the Prime Rib Sandwich was amazing. I would recommend *not sharing* since I shared it with my friend and felt like it was not enough. The prime rib was thinly sliced and very juicy (without any juice spilling out). Their bun was very soft as well! The poutine fries came with thick cheese curds, gravy, and in-n-out style fries. It was good but a bit too heavy, we didn't end up finishing our meals. The restaurant itself was very cute as well, with indoor and outside patio seating which would be perfect for a warmer day!
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
Beautifully curated food menu with fresh and imaginative cocktail list. The service is friendly and unhurried, perfect to enjoy these shareable dishes. The decor offers a "sense of place", really warm and authentic.
google avatar

Jody R.

Yelp
An amazing experience! The service was exceptional and food/drinks were creative and delicious. My favorites were the thanksgiving turkey meatballs, steel trout dip and the fried okra served next to the trout.
google avatar

Gracie W.

Yelp
I literally started making infused lemonade because of this place. And that wasn't even the drink that I ordered. The distillery is great, but Josephine speakeasy really steals the show in the partnership in my opinion. Honestly, those are some of the best drinks that I've tried maybe ever. I personally ordered the heart shine and I know I can't re-create it, so I'm not even going to try. However, I will be trying to re-create the herb infused lemonade as much as I can because that was delicious. They had the rosemary and rotation when we were there and now I feel inspired
google avatar

Jayda K.

Yelp
The drinks, service and atmosphere were cozy. Our service was quick and friendly! I felt very welcome. I recommend this restaurant! The food was truly worth the price we were very happy with our meals. The Trout Cakes and Bison Gyro were a bit pricey but definitely a good portion of food! There is indoor and outdoor seating and both are nicely decorated!
google avatar

Erika F.

Yelp
This is a hidden GEM!! To start with our wonderful waitress Conner was the sweetest and most attentive waitress ever. She was so kind, quick and there to make sure we had a great time. Try all the food. The smoked Cajun trout dip was so delicious along with the tasty charcuterie boards. Amazing cocktails!! I got the huckleberry slushee and it was so delicious! Definitely make sure you stop here when in Coram or on your way to or out of Glacier NP!!
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Our server Mikaela was the best. They have the best cocktails and food. My favorite is the stuffed mushroom and the cheeseboard was plentiful and beautifully arranged. We had a great time here spending our wedding anniversary celebration!
google avatar

Edwin P.

Yelp
Very nice and cozy place, was recommended by our rafting guide Josh. The place is so homey for a restaurant, the food was excellent especially the Portobello Mushroom and the meatballs, the drinks were not watered down. Very highly recommended.
google avatar

K C.

Yelp
What a great surprise in a town of burgers. Great craft drinks and a HUGE charcuterie board. It's a meal! We Also had stuffed mushrooms and a great brownie for dessert. Perfect end after a long day of hiking. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. This place knows what's its doing.
google avatar

Kaela D.

Yelp
After a very difficult long hike, this place was a breath of fresh air! The most amazing drinks (super refreshing) and the chef went out of their way too make us an off menu vegan charcuterie board! Very accommodating to our dietary choices, 10/10 recommend!
google avatar

Malissa P.

Yelp
Just amazing! We had drinks & food here twice in 3 days! We were counting the days until they opened on the 27th. Among the 4 of us, everything we had was wonderful. Exceptional service -- love the decor. Great outdoor area too! Just what this part of Montana needs!
google avatar

Ed H.

Yelp
We really enjoyed Josephine's. It's set in an older restored cabin type building. Nice cocktail program with a good selection of drinks on offer. Tried the dreamsicle and thought it tasted like it's namesake and liked it. Small food menu but interesting choices. Started with the bison chili and really liked it. Nice flavor and very hearty. Then had a bison gyro and it was also very flavorful. Very friendly and attentive service. Overall a great spot.
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
Wow, I am so glad we decided to have dinner and drinks at Josephine's instead of driving to Whitefish. The vibe was the exact opposite of what we were expecting. We loved it. Amazing cocktails and really good food. I had the veggie gyro, which was great and filling. This place reminded me a lot of our favorite bar at home, the split rail. Definitely eat here, or even stop by for drinks. I believe they make all of their own whiskey at the distillery down the hill. Simply excellent.
google avatar

Derek M.

Yelp
Wonderful place for a meal. The parking is easy and the bathroom is clean. The staff is super friendly and they have a covid station for the customers where you can clean up with there own home made hand sanitizer. The cocktails are tasty and I was surprised at how awesome the poutine was. We also ordered the chicken strips and they were fire. All the sauces we amazing and they had their own whiskey in them. They are also pet friendly if you're traveling with the fur babies.
google avatar

Monica C.

Yelp
We arrived in Glacier excited that the rain cleared out the smoke and had our pick of sites, but the fire restrictions at the campground put a damper on our dinner plans. Not to fear because Josephine's is nearly as cozy as a campfire. No kidding, not only is this place impeccably decorated in a tasteful modern wilderness theme (yea, I made that up but it seems appropriate) with an interesting menu which is what attracted us initially, but the food was so yummy and comforting, beer and cocktail selection plentiful, and service incredibly friendly! Winner, winner fried chicken dinner! (side note: fried chicken was tasty with a massive crunch; be warned, portions are plentiful!) This is a must stop if you're staying in Glacier! Food was so good I forgot to take pictures!

Yelp
AWESOME food!! Adorable restaurant with happy friendly wait staff. We loved this place and if you are in the area have dinner. Lots of great choices. Fab soup. Cool drinks. Loved this place.
