Yes, it's a dive but the food was exceptional! Nice touch - they offer a sample of the pork if you are a newbie. Food portions are huge. Soup and 1/2 sandwich for lunch was great. Shrimp and spinach special was so fresh and flavorful. Well done!!!

Google
A 2 star for trying. Its not what a "real" Cuban dishes are supposed to be. To many "useless" spices added to the pork. Service is ok. Have been to at least half a dozen times. Just cannot get passed most of why is so great about it! I know Bradenton is a small town, not many venture to eat real Cuban food in Tampa or surrounding area. Its hard to compare till you try somewhere else.

This place is the bomb!! Always good, food is fresh & pricing is very reasonable. It is a funky little place, don't expect a high end look, this place is all about the food. By far the best Cuban cuisine in the area.

We drove to this DUMP from Tampa on 9/29/2012. It took us 1.5 hours and we are a family of 5 (3 kids). Place is NOWHERE near to what was shown on triple D. First off, the staff are all rednecks and white trash. The servers have track marks on their arms from obvious drug needle use. The place is filthy, tables sticky and floor unswept with food drops everywhere. There were also tiny flies everywhere and it seemed that the air conditioning was OFF. We ordered the Picadillo and the Ropa Vieja, both of which were served within 60 seconds (which means it was just sitting there for who knows how long). The food was cold, the rice was nasty. We had to ask the waitress to take the food back and instead we got Cuban sandwiches with fries, which were OK. So in fairness to the place, the best food they serve: French fries. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, if it was ever good like what was featured on Triple D, then something happened since then. Something bad because the place has went downhill. Overpriced and NASTY food. We are latinos and we know good latino food and THIS PLACE SUCKS. If you want GOOD Cuban food go to Pipo's!! (guy should of visited them instead).

If you are from CUBA or are craving for a good Cuban Food, don't go to this place. You will be disappointed. The food is not even close to a Cuban food. The place is disgusting and nasty, even the people that work there. The white rice is horrible, it change the whole flavor of the food. The beans are made from cans, not from scratch like they said. The CONGRIS or MOROS are even worst, they cook the rice and the beans separately and mixed together when you ordered. The YUCA is something else, overcooked and without MOJO. The Cookers and personnel are americans and apparently they don't know how a Cuban food taste. Worst Cuban food I ever tasted. If the Star from the Food Network (GUY FIERI) went to this place for a real Cuban food flavor, he made a big mistake and I feel so sorry for him. Others reviews are made from people that are not CUBANS and they have no idea how a Cuban food taste. I gave one star for the Pulled Pork that was Good. But, don't take this review for granted, go and try it for yourself. CUBANS be aware this is not a real or authentic Cuban food as they advertise. Thanks for reading and SHARE your own experience.

Authentic, and delicious. Take out recommended, a bit of a dive, but just go there or order take away. The pork is the best, and Jose is very friendly!
