Saw Joshi Museum pop up so many times on Instagram Reels—those tiny train models zooming around looked unreal! Finally made the trip with my family, and it was totally worth it. We were super excited, but heads up: entry is just ₹120 per person, which is a steal, but they won't start the show unless there are at least three people. We got lucky and teamed up with another couple waiting outside. Otherwise, you'd have to wait or find strangers to join, which added a bit of adventure to our day.
Don't expect anything like Miniatur Wunderland in Germany—that massive, high-tech wonder with endless details. This is more like a 10% version of it: smaller scale, simpler setup, but still packs a punch with its charm. Once inside, the show kicked off and lasted about 20-25 minutes. No fancy interactive stuff where you press buttons or anything, but honestly, who needs that? The storyline pulled us right in—it felt like a little movie playing out in miniature. Picture this: tiny people going about their lives in perfect little villages, trains chugging through mountains, cars zipping on roads, all built with insane detail. The models were so fascinating, like someone shrunk the whole world and made it move! Lights flickered in houses, water flowed in rivers, and everything synced up perfectly to the story. My kids were glued, mouths open, and even I, as an adult, couldn't stop smiling. It's one of those places that sparks your imagination, especially if you love trains, history, or just cool handmade crafts.
After the show, they have a shop right there selling model railways and other souvenirs. Prices range from ₹3000 to ₹8000 per piece, depending on size and detail. We picked up a small train set for ₹3500—great quality, and it works smoothly at home. Not cheap, but feels like a keeper that'll entertain us for years.
Overall, it was a good family experience. Fun, unique, and different from usual tourist spots. Minor gripe is the group rule, but it didn't ruin anything. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars—go if you're nearby and into miniatures! Highly recommend for kids or anyone who enjoys something quirky.
