This place is well off the beaten track, but when the weather is nice, the views are likely spectacular. This day was kind of gloomy. The lamb chops (it was billed as a rack of lamb, but was 4 small chops, almost chopsicles) were perfectly cooked and seasoned, but the mash on the side was cold and the chips overcooked. We'd give it another try if we found ourselves out that way.

We go there for the last 10 years - spectacular views - food is close to perfect - organic and local grown - always a must! Seafood chowder is by far the best!

What an absolutely gorgeous place to go and have dinner. It's a very formal, very quiet place with an amazing view of mountains and a lake. It's couldn't be more peaceful and it couldn't be more beautiful. The food is really good and quite well done. I really enjoyed the apple pie especially this is one of the few places since we've gotten to Ireland that I think a wheelchair could get into and access very easily and very well

We were enjoying our lunch at the restaurant, beautiful view. Fish and chips were fresh and tasted really good, the best I have tasted ever. Cake and ice cream for dessert are excellent. Great service. Thanks to the team!

It’s at the end of a no-through road near the Healey Pass. Well worth a visit and take the time to have a leisurely lunch. Good local produce, cooked properly and very tasty. We loved it.

Josie’s Lakeview House is tucked away in Ireland’s Caha Mountains of the Beara Peninsula & overlooking Glanmore Lake. It is well worth the drive to Josie’s for lunch or dinner. We ordered the Lemon Sole with Basil Butter & the Turbot & chips. Both entrees arrived with a nice small salad. For desert we had the chocolate bread pudding with cream. Yummy! Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is cozy & the service was spot on.

Wonderful place, well located in a beautiful valley along a lake. Mountain views all around. Food is solid & home cooked with a priority on seafood. Her Fish & Chips were nicely battered, crispy and flavorful. The cauliflower soup was great as well, well balanced flavors. The lady is very friendly and I'm glad we stopped by for a late lunch.

It is a very quiet and lovely restaurant with a wonderful lake and mountain view. Homely feeling and cosy. My husband and I had our wedding small dinner hosted in their and Josie's was so helpful with everything and open to the ideas of our decorations and set up. We had a 5 course meal for a very affordable price. Our guest was very happy 😊
