The best thing about this hotel was its’ location and the stunning views on all sides. The hotel does have multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas but aside from a good range of beer, there was not much on offer in the bar or any kind of bar snacks or food available aside from the evening meal sitting at 8pm. A bar snack with my beer would have been nice or perhaps a meat and cheese selection.|The room had an excellent view of the mountains, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure but a couple of decent chairs with a small table in the room would have been welcome rather than the single wooden folding chair provided.|Breakfast was adequate but nothing special, especially given the touted food credentials of the hotel and the price point. Pastries were personally passed around in a basket which given the buffet style of the meal, looked like trying to restrict the number taken rather than personal service.|The hotel seemed overpriced to us compared to other places we have stayed over the last few months.

Located in a beautiful setting that is a potential starting point for hiking in Jotunheimen and Breheimen, this traditional mountain hotel offers rooms with good beds and shower/WC. There is a lounge and basic bar service but no sauna. It offers a standard breakfast which is included. The optional 3-course dinner starts only at 20:00 and they are not fast to serve. While I liked the hotel, I did not enjoy the dinner.

Very relaxed, very welcoming hotel in a central location for exploring Jotunheimen. Comfortable bed, great food and with just the right touch of mountain hospitality and friendliness, discussing the days adventures over a glass of cold beer.

Wouldn’t return here. We had high hopes for the dinner after seeing rave reviews and pictures but our food looked nothing like the pictures and tasted bland like a nursing home dinner. Not worth the money unfortunately. Maybe the chef wasn’t there.

A cabin in big need of renovation, not worth the high price for food and accommodation. We stayed at 9 Fjellstuer/cabins during our vacation and this one was the worst.

So glad we decided to spend a night here! From the second we walked in we felt welcomed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They recommended a few hikes/drives that were amazing. YOU HAVE TO DO THE DINNER. It was the best meal I've ever had, and the wine pairing were fantastic as well. The chef is so passionate about cooking and it really shows. Every little part of each dish is so pack with local flavor. The room had an awesome view, was clean and decorated nicely. Breakfast bar was delicious as well. Location is excellent in the park with nearby hikes. I would recommend this hotel very highly for a romantic night stay in the Norwegian mountains.

Friendly staff. Great view. Cosy mountain lodge. Comfortable bed, no TV in the room. Internet in the room could have been better...|Three-course dinner was excellent, the best compliments to the chef.|

We felt lost here. Doesn’t happen much in Norway. We were welcomed by signs and hoped for a bite to lunch, but there was only cake. The welcome feeling was only on the signs near the motorway. Inside they were not prepared for our visit. It felt like we were too much for them to handle at that moment, so no food. Made some beautiful pictures outside though.
