I spent two great days visiting the temples of Siem Reap with my guide Bun and our driver Naro. Bun was always full of energy, super caring, smiling and making jokes. He really made the whole experience fun. He also knows so much about the history and the temples (apparently he’s done all of them in Siem Reap!), so it was the perfect mix of learning and enjoying the moment. And as a bonus, he knows the best spots for photos and he’s actually really good at taking them too! Naro was also fantastic, always on time and waiting for us with water and cold (much needed) towels to refresh. I can definitely recommend this team if you want to make the most out of your Angkor trip!

We were picked up from hotel by the company - ‘Journey Cambodia’in a comfortable mini coach To visit Angor Wat - you need tickets which were painless to get at Angor Gate for $37 p.p for a day pass. You can buy a 2-3 day pass if you want to explore longer as the complex is huge with many temples in this ancient sight and the main attraction in Siem Reap Cambodia . I cannot praise Mr Sam enough , our guide for the tour who is brilliant . He spoke excellent English and his knowledge of the temples and Angor Wat was immense! He made understanding the complexities of Sandstone carvings and history of the sight enjoyable and exciting The tour was very well organised. Mr Sam made sure we stayed hydrated with cold water and frozen towels provided throughout the tour! Due to cloudy evening unfortunately we did not see the sunset. However Mr Sam advised that a sunrise view can be mesmerising over Angor Wat if you have time to revisit.. Mr Sam also arranged with driver to drop off my wife back to hotel midway in the tour as she was not feeling well . So you can be assured that Journey Cambodia is a professional company you can trust to look after you! Overall I recommended this tour especially with the guide Mr Sam .

Exceptional Angkor Wat Experience with a Truly Passionate Guide My visit to Angkor Wat was made truly special thanks to Sak and his driver Mao. Sak is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate guides I’ve ever met. Having personally explored over 200 temples across Cambodia, he knows every detail of the architecture, symbolism, and stories that bring Angkor Wat to life. What stood out was his ability to explain not just the historical facts, but also his thoughtful reasoning behind certain events — making every stop fascinating. His deep love for Cambodian history is evident; he even spends his free time watching Discovery Channel and continuing to learn more. Mao, our driver, was equally courteous and dependable, always ready with a smile and cold water. Together, they made our Angkor Wat tour an insightful, comfortable, and memorable experience. We stayed here for two weeks and really loved it! Thank you for your help, warm welcome, and great hospitality. The staff was always friendly and attentive. We also visited Angkor Wat , such an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend Journey Cambodia to anyone who wants to discover the true spirit of Cambodia.

Don’t do Angkor Wat unless you have a great driver like Mr Seyha and Guide, Sopheaprath from Journey Cambodia. So much Cambodian knowledge it is amazing and Mr Seyha ensures you are always kept hydrated and cool even with cooling towels. They keep you on time and ensuring you get the best experience. Would choose again.

Ok, so this is a review for the first part of the two day tour with Sak (our guide) and our Black (our driver). Firstly, the sunset tour of Angkor Wat was phenomenal and we were lucky to get a break in the sky even though it was cloudy so it made the photos more dramatic. We then visited various temples on the itinerary including the ones from the Tomb Raider movie and Bayon Temple. To start with, it’s best to buy the 3-day temple pass online BEFORE you start this trip to avoid any time wasting or hassle for your group. You will all enjoy it better. About Zak - I couldn’t have asked for the best guide in town as not only did he have so much knowledge of the temples, the history of the country, but is also well versed on current affairs affecting his country. He also made the whole day fun by directing hilarious poses to make your photos even more interesting. He also has many skills in advanced photographic uses for your iPhone which I’m so inept at. The day lasted around 8+ hours and is well worth enduring the humidity and heat. Best tour operators, great communication, best guide and driver to make your time in Siem Reap memorable. Also please recommend visiting the country to your friends as the people here have endured so much when you learn of their history.

Signed up for the Siem Reap: 1-Day Angkor Wat with Sunrise Small-Group Tour. It was a great experience. The agent confirmed with our arrival and pick-up time one day ahead. At 4:30, we met with our tour guide Sak and driver Mao and headed to Angkor Wat for the sunrise. We got there early to get a front-line seat. We also visited Ta Prohm Temple and Bayon Temple. Sak is very knowledgeable about the history, religion, conservation efforts, and the best photo spots about all of the temples. He is also a great photographer. The timely supply of cooled water and cold towel prepared by Mao after each tour was very considerate. Would highly recommend this tour!

We had a phenomenal experience with Journey Cambodia. We felt so lucky to have Bun as our guide for the Angkor Wat sunrise tour. His English is polished and his knowledge extensive. He went out of his way for us to get the best photos and accommodate our wishes and help us understand that culture, history, religion and current state of Cambodia.
