"A Hong Kong-style teahouse serving classic bakery and street snacks such as pineapple buns, egg tarts, curry fishballs and strong milk tea, with this Bugis Junction basement branch offering an exclusive chee cheong fun — delicate rice noodle sheets dressed in soy, sesame-peanut sauce, sweet sauce and chilli." - Rachel Eva Lim

Sgd2.4 for cookie egg tart which was delicious. Cookie was slightly crumbly, baked just right. Egg filling was sweet enough, moist and fresh. Will be back to try the flaky pastry egg tart, which costs sgd2.6.

30Jul25, Wed - on Sat we passed by and saw that Joy Luck Teahouse now has soft service ice cream and in some interesting flavours (9 flavours in all). We were too full then so didn't buy any. Passed by it again today and decided to try Pandan Paradise ice cream in a cone ($1.50). Found out from a staff that the flavours are on weekly rotation. (Didn't notice this was also stated in the last line of their poster.) So we tried sweet lychee and rose bandung mix - not bad. Staff said next week will be pandan paradise. If you get the ice cream in a cup, it is $3.50 and comes with popping bubble toppings. Also love Joy Luck's egg tarts! Haven't tried those from this outlet but felt so satisfied when we had them in Funan Centre a few years ago.

5 Feb 2025, 12.30pm. 3.5 stars overall. Was looking forward to eating a really good egg tart & bolo bun after reading the reviews but ended up quite disappointed. Cookie skin egg tart - 3.5 stars. Tart was still warm when received. Very good texture & mouthfeel. Not too sweet. Overall considered tasty. Tart shell was however overly buttery and this flavour was a bit too overwhelming that it covered the flavour of the egg custard which didn't have much egg flavour. It was also quite hard to remove the stiff tart foil/tin/wrapper to get to the tart. Ok to buy at $2.40 if craving an egg tart. Original bolo bun - 1.5 stars. Buns are prepacked. Good size & appearance. Bun however was quite dense, bready & a bit dry. The bolo topping also didn't add much flavour to the bun. Edible but not worth the $2.50 charged. Service - 5 stars. Staff made me feel welcome. Friendly, polite and not pushy. Kindly assured me that I got the correct type of egg tart ordered as I couldn't see it properly after staff placed the tart into its paper packaging. Will only buy the egg tart if in the vicinity & have a craving. Otherwise, will not travel all the way here to buy again.

Bought this tea as the only shop without queue.(now I know why). Tea taste like tasteless water, even normal water taste better. Cost me 4$. They advertise this as authentic hong Kong taste. Figures.

Best egg tart I ever ate. Price also reasonable. The staff is very friendly and good thumb up at Bugis outlet.

The egg tart was silky and perfectly sweet, with that classic flaky crust that melts in your mouth. The red stamped buns had a soft, pillowy bite with a savory edge, and the lattice pie was golden, buttery, and so satisfying.

I had some vouchers for Joy Luck Teahouse and they were sufficient to get me 2 each of their different style of egg tarts. They were decent egg tarts but I wouldn't say they were exceptional. It's not likely that I will purchase them again.

Had the mixed Lychee/ Rose Bandung soft serve ice cream which was really nice! The flavors complemented each other and came through clearly without being overpowering. Definitely would buy again. Accidentally dropped most of the ice cream and the staff very kindly replaced it for me which I wasn't expecting. Thank you!
