We had an amazing time at jozankei view hotel! It was one of the only places I was able to find one big room for a group of 7. The room was a bit older but very traditional. They did have nice floors so if you do more research you will find even nicer rooms. We slept on very comfortable futons. Our room had 2 bathrooms which was a plus!
The onsen was the best experience! Both the roof top and the ground level onsens were very nice and enjoyable. Unforgettable experience!
The hotel has plenty of amenities such as arcades, crane games, ping pong, and karaoke. You can spend a lot of time just exploring the place.
I booked the breakfast including option so I am not sure if I could have booked both dinner and breakfast. Otherwise you will need to pay extra to dine there. Unfortunately dinner time ended early so we didn’t have the opportunity to try it (we took too much time exploring). We did have the breakfast, it was an open buffet. The food was really good and they had plenty of options. It wasn’t the traditional style where they bring the food to your room (for both breakfast and dinner).
We took a bus from Sapporo to get there but apparently there was a shuttle bus that takes you there from Sapporo station. You should book the shuttle in advance for both the going and coming back (we ended up taking the regular bus both ways).
It was a learning experience but regardless we really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back!
