The hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted. We arrived on a Sunday, and the bus was already fully packed when leaving Sapporo Station, so it is best to book early. The hotel itself is a little old, though the public area toilets appear to have been recently renovated. The public onsen pools are large and relaxing, but the stone tile flooring can be slippery from long use, so be careful when walking in the bath area. The buffet has a good spread of dishes. I especially enjoyed the dinner scallop miso soup, handmade sushi, and desserts. The restaurant was lively and fully packed with both local Japanese families and overseas tourists. One minor downside was the seasonal fruit such as lychee. It would be better if the hotel ensured the fruits were properly washed before serving. Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is strong and stable unlike a big spa hotel in lake Toya which I just stayed a few days ago.

Very disappointing experience for the price (about 33,000 yen per night). The hotel has a strange and inconvenient policy(if this is even a policy because we didn't know it before) : they only come to set up the futon between 18:00–21:00. Our room the maid came at 20.15hrs!!!! That means you cannot rest, lie down, or take a nap at all during the day, even though you’re paying a premium price. For such a cost, I expected flexibility, comfort, and proper service, but instead not telling, i felt restrictive and inconsiderate to guests. You are waiting 10minutes to chase the elevator. Surrounding convenient, that's all. I would not book this hotel if i have known about this situation in advance. Definitely not worth the money — I would not recommend this hotel.

It is a large hotel with plenty of amenities, ranging from onsen, game room, water park, souvenir shop etc. Room is fine, look a bit ages. Dinner is a buffet in a large dining area, very packed during peak meal time.

Some big cons and pros: > CONS - in room shower is old and broken. Had to pack to change room but the staff never even makes an apology - the window can only be opened for a little bit as if everyone is gonna jump out - forbid anyone with tattoo to use any of the Onsen facilities using strong warnings

The good thing of this hotel is view from the room. overall it is the worst experience of staying in Japan hotel. Room is very very dirty, dusty. The Hotel is old doesnt mean they couldnt keep it clean. I upgraded the room, and asked about all the cost i have to pay. At check out they charged me more. Very disappointed!!!

We had an amazing time at jozankei view hotel! It was one of the only places I was able to find one big room for a group of 7. The room was a bit older but very traditional. They did have nice floors so if you do more research you will find even nicer rooms. We slept on very comfortable futons. Our room had 2 bathrooms which was a plus! The onsen was the best experience! Both the roof top and the ground level onsens were very nice and enjoyable. Unforgettable experience! The hotel has plenty of amenities such as arcades, crane games, ping pong, and karaoke. You can spend a lot of time just exploring the place. I booked the breakfast including option so I am not sure if I could have booked both dinner and breakfast. Otherwise you will need to pay extra to dine there. Unfortunately dinner time ended early so we didn’t have the opportunity to try it (we took too much time exploring). We did have the breakfast, it was an open buffet. The food was really good and they had plenty of options. It wasn’t the traditional style where they bring the food to your room (for both breakfast and dinner). We took a bus from Sapporo to get there but apparently there was a shuttle bus that takes you there from Sapporo station. You should book the shuttle in advance for both the going and coming back (we ended up taking the regular bus both ways). It was a learning experience but regardless we really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back!

Roof top onsen is nice. Buffet varieties are a lot, we like the seafood don very much. The light show also nice, we have good experience in Jozankei.

One of the bigger onsen hotel in Jozankei. It has 2 sections (new & old wings), with few onsen pools to choose from. At the basement of the hotel comes with a huge lagoon style swimming pool that has many different slides, lazy pool lagoon and lap pool for serious swimmers!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast spread was not of top notch quality, but variety is commendable. My family had an awesome time in this hotel!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
I LOVE, love, love this hotel! My family and I have been staying at the Jyozankei group hotels for almost 20 years for vacation and business! If you are looking for a VIP experience or even for regular nice stays, I highly recommend staying at their hotels! Their services are top notch! They also offer full of entertainment for everyone! You cannot get bored at this hotel! Make sure to bring your bathing suit because they have a huge lagoon water park in the hotel!
