JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Naha

Having stayed at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku and thoroughly enjoying the great value and service for a 4-star hotel, we expected an even better experience at your 4-star property in Naha. Unfortunately, it turned into an absolute nightmare. We made our booking on September 25th and immediately called the hotel to confirm that the reservation and payment went through. During that call, your front desk staff repeatedly assured us that the booking under my wife’s name was confirmed and that payment had been received. We were even sent a confirmation email after the call, which clearly showed the reservation details (photo attached). Fast forward to October 21st, the day of our stay. After a long drive, we arrived at the hotel with our rental car parked and four pieces of luggage, expecting a smooth check-in. To our shock, the front desk insisted that our booking had been cancelled because the payment “did not go through.” We were never notified of any cancellation, no email, no message, and were left completely stranded despite having a confirmation email issued by your staff. When I questioned why we were assured over the phone that our booking was successful, the only response we received was that the system automatically cancels bookings after ten minutes if payment fails. Yet, no one contacted us, and no cancellation notice was ever sent. Exhausted and frustrated, I asked if there were any available rooms, and while one was available, we were told we had to pay 39,500 JPY per night, over 150 CAD more than our original booking. The least your staff could have done was honor the original rate given the hotel’s mistake. This is unacceptable service for a 4-star hotel. The lack of communication, accountability, and empathy caused unnecessary stress and completely ruined what should have been a pleasant stay. We will never book with the JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom chain again, and we will be sharing this experience publicly so other travelers are aware of the very real risk of having their reservation cancelled without any notice.

A lovely quaint and clean hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were big by Japan standards and the bathroom was amazing, I loved the steamy shower room and bath tub. Perfect for visitors intending to see different parts of Okinawa, 5 min walk from monorail and bus lines. Even closer to the main tourist districts and nightlife hubs. Would definitely recommend. The aircon was brilliant and was so nice to get the room icy if thats what you like. Cant say much for the views, but youre not in the hotels much if youre in Okinawa. Facilities were decent but for some reason they don’t have a filtered water tap which was a shame cause its important to stay hydrated when its hot. (Reception gave free water bottles but I hated using do much single use plastic). Overall loved this hotel. It was a beacon of comfort coming back to after a hot, busy day.

I stayed at JR Kyushu Blossom Naha Hotel, and overall, the experience was excellent. The location is very convenient, right next to Makishi Monorail Station and just a one-minute walk to Kokusai Street, making shopping, dining, and exploring the city very easy. The room isn’t large, but it’s clean, simple, and well-designed, which makes it more than comfortable for travelers. The bathroom comes with a separate shower and toilet, along with complete amenities. The lobby has a minimalist yet stylish atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. For those driving, the hotel offers parking, though spaces are limited, so it’s best to plan ahead. Breakfast is a combination of Japanese and Western dishes. While the selection isn’t extensive, the quality is good, and the Okinawan specialties are worth trying. Overall, this is a well-located hotel with excellent service. Whether it’s your first time in Okinawa or you’re looking for a convenient city stay, I would definitely recommend it.

We had an excellent 5 nights stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and quiet, the eco cleaning was great. We chose this hotel because of its location to all the conveniences.

It was really well located and super easy to get to from the airport. When we arrived, check-in was smooth and even got a small present (amenities). The rooms are squeaky clean, beds are comfy and a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was one of the better ones I’ve had, a lot of variation and fresh! There even was a make-your-own waffle machine. I would recommend coming here if you wanna stay close to Kokusai Dori.

The hotel is located at the heart of 國際通 Kokusai-dori, and Donki is just 50 metres away! Hotel rooms are also spacious and clean. We also used the parking there, which is 1500 yen per day.Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the staff assisting me for parking. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever visit Okinawa in the future!

The location is perfect. All the popular attractions are near this hotel. There is also a Gyukatsu right beside this hotel. Rooms are clean and service is wonderful. Very good value and also near the metro/monorail. Must stay!

We stayed there for 3 nights. The room was small and the cleaning lady yelling at 9 am in the morning to get the trash and give new towels that is hard NO! expect for that it's well situated. Medium quality amenities. Correct prices for the place.

I would definitely come back here just for the breakfast buffet, AMAZING, including some Ryukyu specialties, Cocoa Puffs, awamori, roast beef, balloon tofu, dumplings, mini croissants... The room was very clean and functional and it came with a free phone to take around town, but not a very good view (better reason not to stay in the room). The staff was great and you couldn't ask for a better location, only a 15 min monorail ride from the airport and a hop away from the main drag!
