Bought tickets in Klook for fast transaction and easy access but the counter is very open so it’s also okay not to purchase tickets online. JR tower is not the tallest tower in the world and not even on top 5 but still it’s worth to visit this place. It was very nice to watch the sunset and a lot of photo/video enthusiast were waiting for it. It was winter festival so the view was great, seeing the roof tops covered with snow.. it’s just like watching a snow toy village. There were also group of girl friends hanging out and playing cards while having this great view, some were “dating” - agree, also a great romantic spot😅 there’s also a souvenir shop beside the coffee shop, coffee’s aroma is enticing to have one cup of coffee while mesmerizing this great view so don’t miss visiting this place!

Best observatory in Sapporo and possibly all of Hokkaido. It's in the main station so it's pretty convenient. Good views for a long ways in all directions. Worth a visit if you are there. (Pro tip, don't forget to use the bathroom while you are there. Even they have great views)

For breathtaking 360-degree views of Sapporo, the JR Tower Observation Deck T38 is an unmissable destination. Perched atop the 38th floor of the JR Tower, this observatory stands 160 meters above ground, offering unparalleled vistas of the city and its surroundings. From here, visitors can gaze upon landmarks such as the Sapporo Dome, Mount Teine, Ishikari Bay, and, on clear days, even the distant peaks of Mount Yubari and Mount Ashibetsu. Conveniently located directly above Sapporo Station, access to T38 is seamless. Guests can take a dedicated elevator from the 6th floor of the Stellar Place shopping complex straight to the observatory. Inside, the ambiance is enhanced by curated artworks and a unique musical backdrop known as the “Planetary Scale,” creating a serene atmosphere. One of the observatory's standout features is the men's restroom, designed with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide an uninterrupted view of the city—a design that has garnered attention for its boldness and innovation. For those looking to relax, T’CAFÉ offers a selection of beverages and light meals during the day, and transforms into a cozy bar in the evening, serving over 30 types of cocktails. Adjacent to the café, T’SHOP provides a range of exclusive souvenirs, including locally crafted goods and observatory-themed items.

A magnificent panorama view of Sapporo! Built in 2003, T38 is even taller than Sapporo landmark TV tower. It features a Tcafe, Tshop, art work and soundscape. You can take the T38 lift from the 6th floor of the Stellar shopping mall and pay Y740 admission fee. The 360° view on top is unforgettable.

A spacious observatory. This is different from the TV tower with its modern look. There was a great view around Sapporo city centre. The summer view was great with greenery on the roadside.

Visibility was low. Don't let that deter you if it's snowing! The city was beautiful! Sat there for 30 mins enjoying the moment. So peaceful! It wasn't crowded on Monday after 7pm [maybe 10 others]. Was able to sit and relax on the ledge and watch the snow fall! Great way to end a long day of travel. 750¥ an adult. Takes credit card and yen.

The views were great. The music was relaxing. The chairs were comfortable and the coffee shop had refreshing drinks. It was a nice place to take a break and just cool down.
