"At the JT Trading Post I always find something unexpected; on weekends there's often an outdoor marketplace with local vendors selling vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, and food." - Kaila Yu

JT Trading Post is one of those Joshua Tree gems where you walk in for one thing and somehow leave with five — and zero regrets. It’s part general store, part souvenir stop, part “wait, I actually want this in my house.” From snacks and cold drinks to quirky desert merch and surprisingly stylish home goods, it’s got that perfect mix of practical and charming. The atmosphere is friendly, a little quirky, and exactly what you want from a Joshua Tree pit stop. It feels local in the best way, like a place that’s been around long enough to know what visitors actually need. Pro tip: Swing by on Saturdays — they host an artist market outside (whether it’s regular or occasional, it’s worth it). Great vibe, local makers, and the perfect excuse to linger a little longer

I had the pleasure of discovering JT Trading Post while driving through the area and I'm delighted that I stopped to explore. The store offers a diverse range of items, including caps, ponchos, and numerous locally crafted products. Patrick provided me with exceptional assistance, addressing my questions and sharing information about their daily operations, such as food trucks and live music performances when weather permits. McKenzie, the cashier, processed my transaction efficiently and maintained a positive demeanor throughout. I purchased a poncho and am thoroughly satisfied.

This store carries the cutest things. Super curated and clean, they have little areas for bed and bath, children, scents, clothing, stationary, and more. Get ready to drop some dough bc they have it all. Parking is street parking or a little lot on a side street. I picked up some postcards and a perfume. Definitely recommended for gifts and souvenirs.

A beautiful store full of beautiful things! I had no more room in my luggage or I could have brought a lot home with me! If you want to find a special souvenir to commemorate your time in Joshua Tree, this is the perfect stop! I was there during a Sunday morning market, so they had a bunch of independent artists and vendors outside as well.

Made in Italy ≠ made locally. Expensive, easily replicated and mass produced items. Hardly any actual local vendors from 29/JT/Yucca/Landers etc actually on display. Unwelcoming atmosphere, awkward judgmental stares from employees from behind a counter… you make eye contact and they just stare. Never said a word. Half empty with uppity displays. Definitely not as advertised on media.

Unfortunately ALOT of items that are found on vendor sites such as Ali express. Charging crazy money for something manufactured using child labour does not exactly equal local. It’s a shame as it does take away from the (very few) actually locally made items.

As a lifelong resident, I had never visited the JT Trading Post, until now. What a shame because I can see how poping it could be during tourist season. It's still was a nice experience during the 100 degree heat of summer (nice and cool inside) but according to the very nice staff in the winter they have a lot going on, such as live music, vender booths, selfie station and more. Look for the building with the murals and stop by to check it out, summer or winter!!

Yelp
The JT Trading Post is amazing! We wandered in after going to Joshua Tree coffee company. This place features many local artists and serves the community. The environment is inviting and full of everything. It has gift for friends you want to buy something from JT, things for children, and so much more. I bought an amazing perfume that I'm obsessed with that gives a portion back to the national parks. We talked with the owner, James, and he said he has plans for so much more. Wonderful man with so much insight into the area. We honestly can't wait to see what he comes up with!

Yelp
LOVED the variety of stuff you can buy here. Clothes, hats, stickers, mugs, snacks, books, art, etc. They have it all and in my opinion the prices are reasonable. I went during the sunday market and loved having the extra local vendors outside with more options to shop.

Yelp
JT Trading Post is a charming shop in Joshua Tree with a wide variety of products. We picked up some clothing and local coffee beans and really enjoyed the experience. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
If you are passing through JT make sure to stop here! They have a huge selection of gifts, clothes and desert-themed souvenirs. Also a weekend pop up bar in the courtyard behind the store!

Yelp
Great shop, it has quite the variety of items! You can find clothing for adults and kids, hats, candles, books, records, JT related items, snacks and cold beverages. One stop shopping. It's a very cool store in the center of Joshua Tree, close to the National Park. Stop in, I guarantee you will find something you like, I did.

Yelp
Xihomara your store rocks! Everything in this gem of a store is for sale. There's something for everyone here. Furniture created by the owners in the woodshop located in the store to vintage clothing to brass unicorns. Lot's of one of a kind vintage finds are for sale. Dreamcatcher workshops by local artist Krlos Triplecrow! Original art, paintings, dreamcatchers, jewelry holders by Krlos are also for sale. Tons of awesome vinyl records for sale. I love love love this shop! Can't wait to get back there for more fun times in the JT Trading Post!

Yelp
The new owners of this shop really turned this building into something worth experiencing. Stepping in for the first time was like a decorator's dream. The owners collect household items and resell them at extremely affordable prices. The most wonderful part of this business is the woodworking they do. I was privy to seeing their workshop, a place where reclaimed wood becomes something functional and beautiful. You can tell they put their everything into their pieces. The quality is outstanding and always cutting edge. I enjoy going in the shop to admire all the new things they've created and for the great company I find in Xiohmara and Steve, who make my family and I feel so welcome. They're extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all their creations and can even do custom pieces. I will definitely keep coming back for years to come to satisfy my need to add beautiful pieces to my home.

Yelp
A quaint eclectic collection and personalized furniture store, this place is a GEM. The owners are very welcoming and they have got their feng shui on point! Definitely a must see when driving through.

Yelp
I just adore stopping in this store to see the latest goodies they've stocked. From camping last minute needs to handmade soap.

Yelp
Here is my experience dealing with JT Trading post..About 4 months ago I took out 5 of my funky guitars that I build and put them on consignment..They were to pay me after the 5th of the month after they sold..They sold 3 the first month..Thats good you think..But wait till you hear "The Rest Of The Story"..When I went to collect my money Zia say's " is it ok if we pay you part of the money and a little each month?" Well what can I say? Then they sold the 4th guitar the next month..I travel out there again from Yucca Valley and they are closed..After the 4th trip I finally catch them open..Zia again just gives me part of the money saying "we just don't have the money"..So I'm thinking, well they had the money in their hand when they sold them so why didn't you put the money I had coming in an envelope and save it for me?..Anyway, the following month after the 5th I go out again and it takes 3 times before I found them open..Zia says " can you come back after the weekend maybe we will have the money then"..Again I go away shaking my head in disbelief..So I go out there again and after another 2 trips to catch them open she gives me a partial payment..By this time I can't take it anymore and say " if you give me another 50 dollars on top of this payment we will call it even and I won't ever have to come out here again"..She didn't have it she says..Then Zia says give me your adress will mail it to you on the 5th next month so I did that..I waited and no check..I waited till the 12th and went out there yet again..I greet her and Steve then Zia say's " you know we have been talking it over and we don't think we owe you anymore because we never took out taxes or anything like that"..I was so in shock that they would pull that on me I couldn't say anything without blowing up so I just turned around and left...That my friends is how they treated me..After talking about it to a friend of mine I am not the only one..I am 79 years old and from the "old school", that if you shake hands on a deal with someone it is golden..And that a person is only as good as their word..And if you do me bad that is the end of our relationship..So think twice before putting anything on consignment..When I first met Steve and Zia they seemed like great people..But like the old saying goes, you can't judge a book by it's cover..
