"The Largest Park in Madrid Madrid's largest park, named after King Juan Carlos I, is a short metro ride from downtown, but from the moment you leave the station you feel as though you've been transported to a faraway land of fairy tales. Giant sculptures decorate the massive grounds, with dedications to Galileo, victims of the Holocaust, and world peace, respectively. If the weather is fair, there is a free train which offers rides every hour on the hour around the entire park—the only way you can see the whole place in a day!"

Beautiful park, however there are no dogs on leashes. It’s literally call of the wild out there. They have a designated dog park space but no one utilizes it. I love dogs but don’t want them jumping on me when I’m jogging. Beautiful park though.

A very large and beautiful park. I loved how peaceful it was, quiet and not crowded. There's plenty of open space to relax and explore. To me, it's my now favourite park in Madrid.

I went to Adam Port and Rampa on 28th of June 2025 and had a nice and long walk there, loved the ambiance and the fresh breeze

Huge park with a large variety of activities to do. Great for a long walk, lots of wonderful scenery and sculptures. The park is slit into areas with different themes for planting and landscaping. We also saw a large lake where people were canoeing.

Juan Carlos I Park is an incredible place and a true gem close to my neighborhood. This expansive park is perfect for various activities, making it a favorite spot for many. Whether you are a runner, a pet owner, or a family looking for a great day out, this park has something for everyone. One of Juan Carlos I Park's standout features is its vast grassy areas. These are often used for picnics, games, or simply relaxing with a good book. The well-maintained lawns and abundant trees provide a refreshing escape from the urban environment. The park is also home to numerous monuments and sculptures, adding an element of art and history to your visit. These pieces are beautifully integrated into the natural landscape, making every walk a delightful and exciting experience. For families, there are plenty of playgrounds and open areas where children can run and play freely. The park is very pet-friendly, with many dog owners bringing their furry friends for a walk or a game of fetch. One of my favorite aspects of the park is the breathtaking sunsets. As the sun dips below the horizon, the entire park is bathed in a golden glow, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The overall vibe of Juan Carlos I Park is vibrant yet striking. It's a place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy nature. Whether you are just passing through, this park is a must-visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend some quality time outdoors.

The initial impression I got was that the park was very artificial, but. I found out it was only built in 1992 hence why. The facilities though are excellent, plenty of room for people to walk, run, cycle and rollerblade. There's also canoeing or kayaking and fishing there so overall a great local facility.

Yelp
Beautiful park! I have walked around here several times in the autumn and winter. There is a large lake where you can rent a boat, multiple playgrounds for children, a golf course, a place to skateboard and many outdoor gyms. I see many groups here enjoy activities together such as yoga and stretching classes. It is also a popular trail to jog and run. In the spring and summertime, I cannot wait to have a picnic outside on the grass. This park is very large and very pretty! There are always activities happening here!

Yelp
Really well-maintained large park on the outskirts of Madrid. Interesting sculptures are scattered throughout the park interconnected with paths through lawns and orchards. There's no shortage of playgrounds with fun and unique equipment either.

Yelp
This is a great place for a cheap day out from the main part of Madrid. The park is full of modern sculptures, gardens and fountains. Take your passport and you can borrow a bike for free - this will give you the chance to really explore as the park is quite extensive. For kids there are plenty of playgrounds dotted around and they can cool off in the fountains. An old train runs for part of the day and this is also free and will take you round all the main sites. There's also a place to fly (or just watch) kites. Some people were also fishing. I recommend you take a picnic as the restaurant was closed when I visited and there are no shops nearby. There is loads of green open space and wonderful views to sit and enjoy a picnic. Cold drinks and ice creams can be bought in the many kiosks dotted about. The nearest Metro is Camp de las Naciones about 15 minutes walk away. Oh, just one down side - the toilets were a bit naff - no toilet paper so pack your own with your picnic!

Yelp
Very big park where you can run, take a walk or ride a bicyle. There is a free lending service of bicycles, the only thing you need is your passport. There is also a little train that travel around the park.
