Judy house is amazing! We stayed for five days in the judy cottage and had a wonderful stay. The entire place is gorgeous- the outdoor areas, reading area, and they also have an honesty market that had everything we needed. Misha (I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to spell her name) was so kind and helpful - she made us feel welcome and like family. The cottage is gorgeous and has a nice little kitchen, bathroom with shower as well as a front and back porch. The bedroom area was huge and beautiful with an ac unit. Overall, its very safe, clean, beautiful and I highly recommend staying here! |Another great aspect that is wonderful is that it's about a 3 minute drive to the main strip (7 mile beach), nestled in the hills. So you're away from the bustle but close. When you're there, ask for Oshane's (Smokey) contact to be your driver- he is truly kind, reliable and will show great places for a real Jamaican experience! It is tranquil, kind, and all around blissful! Thanks! We look forward to staying here again in the future 🙂

Judy House was great! Probably one of the coolest hostels I've stayed at. Sue was incredibly nice and inviting. She was also very helpful when we needed to exchange a couple USD to JMD. My partner and I also met a few really cool people while there and exchanged numbers with them before leaving. We only stayed for one night but I wish we could've stayed for another! I loved all the plants and the whole layout! Plenty of bathrooms, kitchens, and showers, and I loved all the different spots to chill at. The best part was the bar at the front stocked with food, snacks, cold water, and cold beer! We were able to just grab what we wanted and then pay for it when we checked out.

This is the best hostel I’ve ever been to. It was very cozy and comfortable, and I loved the vibes. The owner is fantastic. I wish I had stayed longer in Negril to chill out more at the hostel, which is walking distance from a few restaurants in front of the ocean.

Staying as a volunteer. My experience of the Judy house is +ve.|It's a little paradise with fruit trees and hummingbirds, like in a hammock and listen to the pear bounce off roofs.|All you need to chill heret or stroll up seven mile beach and nightlife.|Sue has been great, and has worked hard to create this lovely space,

We had a great time at Judy‘s!|You sleep in cozy huts and share some common area with other travelers. Easy to get to know new people. Walking distance to some bars at the beach and a bigger road where you can catch route taxis.

My experience was ok at Judy house, I had a nice time painting. The only problem was Susan the owner, I was there helping her paint her huts, she wasn’t pleasant to be around at times as she shouted at me on multiple occasions over really minor things. One was for using a pillow from another chair and another for asking for some tobacco back that I borrowed her, we was sat with two locals and another volunteer when I asked and she made out I hardly gave her any and that ‘we share things around here’ she made me feel so crapy because I am not a greedy person at all. It was my last bit and she asked twice before I gave her some as she said she would give. Back the next day. She also woke me up one time shouting my name then I seen her arm in my window pulling the curtains looking if I was in she then knocked on the door then opened it and peeked in, I was still half asleep and lying NAKED in bed!! she had zero respect for me, and I can only think it was I asked her not to talk to me the way she did when she first raised her voice at me. I was here for Workaway so I’m just warning anyone coming to check the place out if I was you i would get yourself to Portland much better place, nicer people and the real Jamaican experience. She treats you as if you’re under her employment and doesn’t really treat you like a guest as well, she also lied on my profile and said I am ageist and a bully.. I was nothing but respectful towards Susan other than when we had a couple arguments but Susan always set the tone. When I told her I was leaving earlier than I mentioned she lost it and demanded I pay for 2 nights even though I worked mon-Fri and the weekend was my days off. My worst experience with Workaway, you’re lucky to get 2 stars here Susan. peace and love

My friend Paul and I were here 9 years ago. It was one of the best experiences we’ve had and the hostel was so beautiful that we stayed for 2 entire weeks! Got to meet awesome people and made memories we won’t forget! Thanks Judy ☺️

We had a lovely stay at Judy house. Finally we met other young travellers and we cooked our first meal ourselves here. It was a pleasure chilling at the garden and we loved the honesty bar. Important: get your mosquito repellent. Once the shower ran out of water, but thank you Sue for all the help and kindness.
