Vibes were great in here! Amazing and attentive service and food was good. We got the breakfast burrito and French toast and both were great. Only thing that could be better were the home fries. They were a little too well done and could use some onions. Otherwise, great place, I recommend stopping by. Prices were good too!

Google
VERY eclectic!! Food was delish, I had the early bird special (2 eggs, sausage, toast) and my husband had a ham club that looked well built!! (Nice and juicy, no dryness there!!) If you're looking for old school, authentic, neighborhood "Bloody Mary in the morning type of place"....this is it. Great service, acceptable price.

Shandalee A.

Google
Gathered with co workers for breakfast. Seating party of 6 was a bit of a challenge, but the staff was very accommodating and let us move when tables were available for us to all sit together. Bloody Marys were delicious.Mase with Clamto juice I believe. Corned Beef Hash was home made and delious. Very affordable. Got a bit loud at times, but had a great time and will be back!

Google
Honestly the first time I’ve been here, food is delicious and properly cooked. Service was incredible never have I ever had someone so attentive to making sure my coffee was filled. The place is really busy but small so the servers are definitely busting their butts. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area!

Love E.

Google
Absolutely delicious breakfast. From a southerner perspective the biscuits and gravy were better than most places in my area. Wait staff wasn't the warmest but not rude. Over all would definitely recommend for a great breakfast.

Google
Looking for good time, good ppl and rel good food? This is it!! The ladies behind the bar are the best!! So happy I found this place!! 🖤💜 I can't wait for my next day off! Thank y'all for a great breakfast!

Google
We are happy we found Judy's restaurant. We were in there about 10:00 am. It is so local. It defines a local restaurant. The breakfast was excellent, the service was also excellent. Our only comment would be at 10:00 am there were 6, (male and female) bar flies drinking beer as if it were 10 PM at night and they were blitzed. They were noisy and took over the atmosphere of the restaurant. It still gets a five. They should not serve liquor that early in the morning. That would eliminate the bar fly noise. Definitely visit the restaurant. It's worth it.

Google
Good for a greasy spoon place! Great prices, friendly staff without any pretense.

Yelp
On the road from bar harbor to make my little stop to Bangor and found this gem of a diner ! It's simple as good food and good service . They had a bar for what seems their regulars were at , I ordered a basic eggs with patty , it was great , everything tasted fresh . These are the type of diners that I absolutely love . Glad I stopped by filled me up !

Yelp
Judy's is a legendary institution for breakfast in Bangor. Only there can you walk in at the crack of dawn and find the bar full with regulars enjoying their liquid breakfast. For those with a liver the more standard breakfast is pretty good. The prices are reasonable and you can order a variety of egg combinations. Judy's English muffins are addicting I think because they toast them on the grill. Service is fast and this place has a wonderful dive bar nostalgia.

Yelp
This unassuming neighborhood spot serves a fine breakfast! Service is swift, the coffee's hot and the Judy's Breakfast Special--eggs, meat, potatoes and biscuits--filled me up! Two thumbs up!
google avatar

Lorri D.

Yelp
This is definitely a locals spot! Hard to find a spot where you can order breakfast and drink a beer at the bar at 0800! The waitstaff was attentive and made us feel like locals - Food was decent and they had a good menu selection.
google avatar

Trish J.

Yelp
Great spot down the street. Stopped in for breakfast. It was packed, but we were offered Bloody Mary's while we waited and only ended up waiting about 5 minutes. Food came quick and was delish. And you can't beat the price. Friendly and inviting atmosphere. Going back next weekend.

Yelp
I love me some good breakfasts! I mean yes please and thank you to all of it. Eggs, home fries, hash, toast, you name it as far as breakfast foods and I want it IN MY FACE. The other day my wife and I were in Bangor over night and we needed someplace good before hitting the road home. I just looked up "Breakfasts Bangor Maine", and this was one of the first places that came up so we went. It's exactly what I think of when I think PERFECT breakfast. Now, it's kind of like a regular, neighborhood joint, so if you're looking for some sort of theme or mood lighting and soft jazz in the background, this ain't what you're gonna get. This is prime neighborhood cafe, and the people in there, from staff to other patrons, are just the nicest folks you could imagine. In fact it was another guest sitting at the bar who told me and my wife "Go ahead and sit wherever you like." I ordered the Judy's Special, which was two eggs (I have mine over easy and these were exactly how they should be!), home fries, choice of sausage or bacon (I got sausage), and toast. Plain white with butter, thanks! My wife and I also got the home made corned beef hash, which was delicious. This was a side order and got a plate full, which unfortunately we couldn't finish. If you want not FANCY breakfast food, but really good breakfast food done to perfection, this is where you want to go if you're in Bangor. No, this ain't the Taj Mahal, it's a great, very clean, local place to go. OH! The coffee was really very good, too. So many places it tastes either burnt or watered down, but at Judy's the coffee was delicious. Price? For myself and my wife, tons of coffee, and that large side of corned beef hash it was about $30 before tip. We tipped 40% because the staff were great and we wanted to really show our appreciation to the people there. We'll happily go back next time we're in town. We left VERY full and very happy.

Yelp
This place is where the locals go for breakfast. Biscuits and sausage gravy was the special and pretty good ... and came with a few eggs the way you like them. I absolutely loved the jokers at the bar just hanging out. They were not shy to talk to an "out of towner" and made me feel very welcomed. Will definitely go back when in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
If your not already a regular, they'll make you feel like one as soon as you walk in. It was a step back in time with hardwood booths and an essence of the many cigarettes once smoked there. The food was delicious and came quickly and very responsibly priced. 2 people less than $20. The wait staff was very friendly and was helped out by regulars by directing people to sit anywhere. It's definitely the place to get a Bloody Mary or Mimosa at 830 on a Sunday morning. (I didn't try tho I had a long drive). Great coffee!
google avatar

Sean T.

Yelp
Absolutely love it. The food is not very good. You are going there for basic diner food you will have to season yourself, get some whole milk and allen's, lots of cups of coffee, and wait a while for your food because the one guy that does dishes and cooks is out back having a smoko.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
To be fair, we visited on Memorial Day weekend and Judy's was both understaffed and over-full. However, that's what I have to review. This is your basic breakfast menu but the cook was clearly in over their head - it took 30 minutes to get simple breakfast and the hash browns were badly undercooked.
google avatar

Yelp
An average hole-in-the- hole diner and bar: Nothing spectacular about either the food or service. The main reason to go here is to support a local business. Beats the hell out of eating at Dennys.

Tulima H.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would, one star is being generous. On Friday morning around 0800, August 29, 2025, my four coworker's and I met up for breakfast after our night shift. We are regular customers throughout the week. We come here to digress, laugh and enjoy each other's company. I ordered a steak and cheese omelette, no home fries but a basket of fries instead. My food came with the home fries, that I didn't order, and about six fries on a saucer. I politely told the waitress that I ordered a basket of fries and didn't want the home fries. She went to ask the cook, Richard, to drop a basket a fries for me but Richard yelled at her, "Do I look like I'm here to cook all day?!" Richard proceeded to be disrespectful towards the waitress and my coworkers and I by yelling profanity through the kitchen window in front of other patrons. It was embarrassing for my waitress and my group of coworkers. Richard then started banging on the grill with the spatulas and then flipped us off with his middle finger. This is not the first time I have heard Richard yell vulgar obscenities in Judy's and has been disrespectful to a waitress. Ms. Jen and the other ladies are wonderful. Richard and only Richard on the other hand, is trash and should not be in the food and service industry.

Amanda W.

Yelp
On August 29th 2025, at 0800 I met 4 of my co-workers here for breakfast. There were only four tables at the time, two 2-tops, one 3-top, and our group of five. Two of the tables had already been served their food and the waitress was bringing ours out when I sat down, (I was late). Unfortunately, the waitress accidentally gave one of us homefries instead of a basket of fries. The waitress went to the cook to ask him for a basket of fries and he proceeded to scream at us through the food window, "Do you think I'm here to cook food all day!" The cook was yelling and swearing at us and I thought the waitress was going to cry. She came over and apologized to us, we told her it wasn't her fault. She then asked if I wanted to order anything, I responded, "I'll order a drink but I don't want any food I'm afraid he'll spit in it." After that the cook started slamming his spatula on the grill when I looked over he was giving us the middle finger. Frankly I'm appalled that this behavior is tolerated. Never in my years have I been so disrespected for ordering french fries. Hopefully this was an isolated incident however, his audacity to treat customers this way over such an insignificant request leads me to believe he gets away with much more than this.

Yelp
Food was fine... Lots of people drinking alcoholic beverages at 8:30 AM heroin needle outside where we parked Quite entertaining, probably won't be back

Brendan C.

Yelp
Suck a great little diner and awesome service and food! Would always go back! The pineapple coconut mimosas are amazing!

Betty D.

Yelp
Stop lying about their "homemade" - opening a can of hash and mixing it with premade shredded potatoes is not "homemade," it is disgusting.

David F.

Yelp
I visited Judy's on 5-7 ordered omelette with Swiss cheese and mushrooms I received cheese omelette that wasn't fully cooked , hash browns were over cooked hurt my teeth. After they brought my food to the table the server never came back I never ate it all the food it wasn't good. Had to go to the counter to cash out never asked me how everything was very disappointing. I didn't say anything I was so upset I wanted to leave.

Melanie D.

Yelp
Such a nice cozy restaurant. Plenty of parking available. The service was amazing, and our food was hot and delicious. With just the right portion sizes. Prices are extremely affordable. We loved that it was family oriented. We will definitely mark Judy's as one of our favorite places to eat.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
If you crave a local spot then Judy's is the place you should try. Definitely a diversion from the commercial establishments, with a down to earth, real hometown feel. Emerse yourself in the Bangor culture, where the talk of the day is heard over a cup of coffee.
google avatar

Joey A.

Yelp
This place served me the best western omelette I've ever had, EVER! not sure what magic they have going on over there but daaaaaaaang!
google avatar

Shirley G.

Yelp
I can't say enough good about Judy's now. That is my favorite place. Their food is tremendous everybody there is nice and the servers are awesome. Whoever they might be.
google avatar

Meg B.

Yelp
Passing through! Great service, food, culture. For sure is a "locals" spot...& yet we were made to feel like a local.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
I love Judy's! It's in a great location right off the highway as you enter Bangor. The waitress was exceptional. My coffee cup was almost never empty. The hash was easily the best I ever had it in my entire life. The omelette was delicious. Even the biscuits were absolutely to die for. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
My recent visit to Judy's left much to be desired. Despite hearing rave reviews from numerous people about their remarkable food, I was sorely disappointed. Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly staff, which initially gave me hope for a pleasant dining experience. However, my optimism quickly faded when I noticed my waiter casually drinking a beer at 10 in the morning, which seemed unprofessional. As for the food, I ordered a simple breakfast, expecting it to be executed with care and freshness. Unfortunately, everything arrived cold, leaving me questioning the quality of their kitchen operations. The sausage I ordered was particularly disappointing, as it arrived nearly black in color and still had the texture of being frozen. Overall, my experience at Judy's was far from satisfactory. Despite the friendly demeanor of the staff, the lackluster food quality and unprofessional behavior left me with a sour taste in my mouth. It's unfortunate that my visit did not live up to the hype I had heard from others. Can literally get a better meal at Governors don't waste your money.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Nice & cozy. Full of local flavor. Food is always wonderful. Staff is friendly. From the waitress to the cook and even the dishwasher.....kind and welcoming.
google avatar

Debrs D.

Yelp
Great food and it's all local people, nothing fancy can be yourself but I wouldn't bring my kids in with me

K M.

Yelp
Solid middle of the road diner fare. Can't say that I was wowed, but it was breakfast and we ate it.

Joanna S.

Yelp
A cute hole in the wall. The restaurant is small, but the service is wonderful. I am pretty sure we were greated by every staff member here. We seated ourself, one person brought drinks and another came over to take order. The cook brought out food. Mexican omelet was so good. Excellent service will definitely come back one day
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Food was good as usual, but someone by the name of Shane Thompson works there. I unfortunately know him from outside Judy's and he doesn't like me for personal reason's. I wasn't done eating and he comes to my table and asks if I was done. I said, "no just leave it alone." He told me not to be an a-hole. He proceeded to take my plate off the table when I wasn't done with my breakfast. I cashed out and on my way out he gave me a threatening look and called him an a-hole low enough for him to here. I Ieft and he came flying out the door yelled at the top of his lungs as other guests were walking out some choice words and threatened if I came back he was going to throw me out. I called and spoke to my server and told her what happened and she said that she was going to talk to him and said she would comp my next breakfast. I WILL be notifying the owner.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
If I lived in Bangor, I would definitely become a regular at Judy's. I was so happy to have found it. It felt like I took a step back in time when you could get a great breakfast, that was done just the way I wanted it, and so reasonably priced. Everyone there was so nice that they seemed like friends already. I didn't want to leave! Shout out to Mike and Jen for the great service and making us feel so welcome. We had to leave Trenton a couple days early to head back to Florida to board up the house before Hurricane Milton was to make landfall.
google avatar

Bass F.

Yelp
I took my son there for his first time last weekend. It is considered a rite of passage for many Bangorians. He had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend!
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
Service is friendly and helpful. It's typical diner style food. I had the French toast and he had the 6 oz. beef patty with potatoes, eggs, English muffin and a side of bacon. The muffin is grilled and not toasted and lots of fried potatoes. Prices were reasonable and also have a bar for those that want alcohol. Reminded me of Cheers bar where everyone knows everyone's name. I'm not a big fan of diner style, but if this is your kind of pub and brunch, it's reasonable mediocre cuisine with a local flair. It's a locals hangout, which is good to visit to get a feel of the area, if you're a tourist like me.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
I love local icons and I am glad I stopped in. Few breakfast joints are also a full bar, so feel free to indulge. You can tell this is a place for the local crowd. Always good to see this kind of venue getting long-time support. Had the steak omelette, which was very good. But I just did not feel the vibe. The waitress/bartender was doing everything, including cleaning the tables. I don't think I am high maintenance: When the coffee pot is in front of me and you see my cup empty, you fill it. I should not have to repeat my requests for water or jelly. Again, not sure if the service issues were due to being over-worked or burned out. Glad I tried Judy's at least one time. Onward to other venues and hopefully more favorable service.
google avatar

Alan T.

Yelp
Great place for a good breakfast the place is tiny gives you a small dinner feel. Service was great the food tasted great. We stopped by as we were passing through town. Very hearty meal to start the day off just right.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Let's be clear first that this is a 4 of 5* review for a greasy spoon diner. This is NOT a 4 of 5* breakfast place considering all breakfast restaurants. The food is fast. The creativity is nil. The mimosas are very large and served in a BudLight pint glass. If you aren't ready to order the second of the server comes by, you might get service with a snarl. Yes, it is service nonetheless, but the energy changed as soon as we asked for more time to look at the drinks. The good news is that all of this is okay. This is a greasy spoon diner. Nobody should be expecting Earth beating, creative, thoughtful, intentional customer service interactions. This is a utilitarian place. And if that's what you're looking for, then come on in!

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Potatoes were soggy and greasy. The best part of the breakfast was just mediocre. The waitress was pretty rude, and was not interested in being asked for any suggestions or recommendations for someone who had never been to Judy's. Had a good beer which made the experience tolerable.

Diane P.

Yelp
We love local places and this was one. Crowded with people eating breakfast and/or drinking at 10AM on a Sunday morning. Reasonable prices, good food and friendly atmosphere. **Note-we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott last night. For almost $300 for two adults, few amenities and the only breakfast available was an on site Starbucks. We would not stay there again. Nearby Hilton Garden Inn had a great bar and food menu.
google avatar

Andi P.

Yelp
It's a real hole in the wall..but the food is fast and cheap, the service is friendly, and the characters who drink (full liquor bar at like 8am), and dine there are super colorful and make the visit worth it. The food is standard greasy spoon fare, but it's familiar, dependable, and hits the spot after a night of overindulgence. I'm a total food snob, and normally I tend to pass places like this up after I've tried them once...but there's something about Judy's that keeps sucking me back in. I like it. It's grown on me. It just feels like I'm supposed to eat there.
google avatar

William W P.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE "tripping" upon family owned businesses that know the value of services at a reasonable price. My breakfast was outstanding, the service could not have been better. Highly recommended. God Bless!
google avatar

Larry N.

Yelp
Great breakfast at a great price. Service is what you expect from a good locally owned diner. Glad we finally were able to stop on our way out of Bangor after 3 days of day trips to Acadia
google avatar

Angie V.

Yelp
Nice and tasty breakfast. I am happy that I had options to customize a little by adding veggies and some berries. Very nice staff.
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
Great little stop for breakfast on our way to the border. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great, with good-sized portions. DO NOT PASS on the biscuits, the best I've ever had!
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Great little spot with very friendly staff. While traveling I love to find non-chain spots and when in town I would recommend them.

Tina R.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast!! Great customer service, decent pricing!! First time to the area and was not disappointed! Great variety of customers and the staff were all very attentive! Food was hot a drink refills on time !
google avatar

Yelp
Yum! We both had Judy's House Special. One with bacon and the other with sausage. Eggs were cooked perfect and everything was delicious. It is like going to your grandparents for breakfast!
google avatar

Rick D.

Yelp
Wow. I don't even know where to begin. I can, hands down, say this is the worst breakfast restaurant I've ever been to. Possibly worst food establishment, period. It's a small place, very basic menu. None of which is a bad thing, and in fact can be a good thing; but first thing you walk into is everyone drinking beers at 9 AM on a Monday; talking trash and swearing a lot, and because it's a small place you can hear every word. Some random guy drinking beer showed us our seat and brought our silverware. That immediately should have been my clue to turn around. Before even having a chance to sit down and pick the menu up, the waitress comes over asking if we know what we want. We weren't ready and she just walked off. Grunting. She had no patience, at all, as when she did come back (about 30 seconds later) I said I'd just start with a water, which had a metallic taste to it. Apparently they aren't use to people who aren't from around and expect you to be a regular who knows immediately what you want before walking in. After having a chance to check the menu out, I ordered hash and eggs, toast, potatoes and a chocolate chip pancakes. While I waited, more people came in to drink alcohol, and they all kept randomly walking into the back of the bar and kitchen with packs of cigarettes. Which is a health code violation. The food came out quickly. Which again, isn't a bad thing, but once I saw what was brought I saw why it was so quick. The eggs were barley cooked. The yolk and whites runny. The toast was wet, and not because of the butter. The potatoes were so bland and lifeless, clearly just from a frozen bag. And the hash. Oh, the hash. It was beyond disgusting. Clearly just dumped out of a can. And barley warmed up. I couldn't get the taste of it out of my mouth for hours. The only saving grace was the pancakes. Not because it was good (it wasn't) but because it was loaded with chocolate chips. Covering up the blandness of the rest of the pancake itself. I'm not looking for or expecting a 5 star experience. I love ma and pa places. I like a little diner with a basic menu; but this was a terrible experience all around. There is nothing about this place at all I can recommend. The food, service, ambiance, all some of the worst I've ever experienced. It's disgusting in every sense of the word. If you're looking for a place to get so drunk at 6 in the morning so you'll find a way to enjoy this food and walk around anywhere you please with a cigarette hanging out of your mouth, this is your spot. For all others, run. Run as fast as you can in any other directions. Heck! There's a Subway across the street I'm SURE does a better breakfast, and that's saying a lot! Please, do yourself and everyone else a favor, never go here.
google avatar

Jill T.

Yelp
Well, I can't say that I've ever eaten breakfast at a bar before--but I highly recommend it if it's Judy's. Very friendly fast service with hot basic food. I had "Judy's Special"--two eggs, hash browns, sausages and a small tasty biscuit. I loved the diner-feel with all the local regulars. I sat eating at the bar because it was busy. Just as I was finishing my satisfying breakfast, the song "I Love This Bar" came on. I carried the smile it brought right out the door!

Charles S.

Yelp
Prices are incredible and the food is great too! Judy's was packed when we went in so we got a seat at the bar. All of the staff was friendly even though it was busy. The prices are insanely good. My 3 slices of French toast were only 5.50! The french toast was super good. My Dad got the Early Bird which is eggs, bacon, and a biscuit (also only 5.50!) The bacon was very crispy and the biscuit and eggs were good too. Not only is Judy's a fantastic breakfast spot, it is fantastic for day drinking! At 8 am we watched them prepare many beers and other drinks and they looked like the could pack a punch. If your looking for a bar that opens early (and also closes at 1pm most days) Judy's is your spot! It was pretty nice in there although somewhat dated, and it smelled like bacon! So who could complain. Overall I highly recommend Judy's it's 10/10 and i'm sad I live 3 hours away.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Great food! Waiter drinking beer and the bar is always open even at 1030 am. Not a good environment at all!!!
