The hotel is located a 15 minute walk from Mozartplatz and 5 minute walk to the local & free bus line. It is a nice hotel in a quiet area. There is both a restaurant and a bar area that stays open late and serves a decent pizza. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms...our was SMALL! It had a nice bed & linens, a kettle with tea & coffee, a beautiful view of the fortress but as I said the room was SMALL! NO closet at all, only a small nightstand to with 3 shelves for personal items, just a hanging rack by the door with 3 hangers. We had to pack & unpack every time we needed clothes. The bed took up almost the entire room. My husband is 6'3 and this just did not work for us!

Excellent location close to Nonnberg, Salzburg Fortress, Mozart square, Residenz Platz with Christmas Market - all in 10 min walking distance. Very helpful staff, nice lobby with bar open any time we needed. Quite big parking was a nice surprise, not common for hotels in /close to downtown. Rooms are small but we came to spend time out so great base for trips in Salzburg and surroundings.

Good location. Short stroll to main square. Room was clean and quiet with a large comfy bed. Had a kettle in the room but only 3 flavored tea bags, no coffee and no milk! Nice lounge area for drinks. We ate here on our first night as we arrived late after a long drive. We both had a Thai curry which was OK and not expensive. We didn't have breakfast as it was €20 PP and there are so many coffee shops and restaurants nearby that offered better value. Parking is on site but €27 per night. Edit: After seeing the reply from Jufa below regarding the parking charges, I queried this with them and sent a copy of my invoice showing I was charged €29.80 per night. I have now received a refund from Jufa so would recommend the Hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was very convenient to the old town area we wanted to visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was minimalist but just clean, comfortable and just fine. I will definitely stay there if we get to come back.

Fantastic location. Really handy for the airport (15 mins away by car) and walking distance to the main parts of Salzburg. |Very friendly staff throughout and relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money. Food in the restaurant was excellent. |Rooms are comfortable and clean. |I don’t think you need much more in a Hotel to enjoy a city break which we did. |Would not hesitate to stay again.

Hotel is easy walking distance to old city, the fortress, and most sites. Hotel is very modern, in excellent condition. Staff friendly and helpful. ONLY complaint was feeling “nickeled and dimed” for as simple as coffee. Room had only instant coffee, where others we stayed at had an espresso style pod machines in room. A small inconvenience. Parking much easier than typical inner-city hotels; private lot off the beaten path. Request a room with view of the fortress!

Google
Cozy but about 15min from any city interest. Room was comfortable. Unfortunately they make you request that your room be cleaned. You have to do this before noon at the reception, which means you likely will have to wait in line. The first time we requested this, it wasn’t even done, which put us in a bind with our towels. Wish that conservation initiatives by hotels don’t place undue burden on their guests, hence the rating.

The Jufa hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the main town. The hotel was clean and comfortable, cleaning is only done on request. We had a disabled room which had a large bathroom equipped with hand rails, but the bedroom was smaller. |Dinner in the hotel was reasonable compared to eating out, and breakfast had something for everyone. |If you like tea, take your own they provide fruit flavours in the room, there is no milk and no fridge, as it was cold I put food outside on the window ledge.|Salzburg is a difficult place to navigate with a wheelchair, I would not advise spending money on the castle as once you have gone up in a lift, then onto the funicular it's cobbled and steep. |Shops are expensive, and even this time of year busy.

Yelp
The sign says "hotel" but it should really be called a hostel. I'm under the impression that this was a recent rebrand. The rooms are snug as a bug in a rug. In our double room there wasn't a place lay the suitcase down other than on the bed. She's a basic and no frills place that is tucked away from old town (approx 20 minute walk). For the price, it's not bad, but she is needing some basic upkeep to keep it looking nice.

Yelp
(Summer?) Rate $220. NOT close to old town. 19 minutes walking, 16 by bus is estimated. Its in suburb looking area. NO restaurants nearby. I saw no staff in their 24hour cafe. Walking to bridge is too far, path is not straight, ie left/right, left/right, no bus goes there, saw many people waiting 4 taxi in lobby. Very small room for 1 person. Shower Very tiny, hard to completely close. Customers were very old people, including groups. No young/tourists. No view. This is like those tiny freeway hotels in europe. It says this was a dorm.

Yelp
Not bad. Pros: Free wifi, linen, towel, breakfast. Breakfast was good. Not need to bring linen at check-out. I was at 8 female room (but partially separated half; 4 and 4). At my side, 2nd night was only me (other side was 2). not full. meaning it was quiet. Desk and chairs in the room, and internet works in the room. No password. Cons: Far from Salzburg central station (Hbf). 30+ students (elementary or middle school) stayed, so it was noisy at breakfast time.

Yelp
JUFA Salzburg is one of a chain of " budget hotels" in and around Austria and Germany. It was clean, had an excellent location central to the shops and major city sights. However, JUFA definitely has hostel tendencies--austere rooms, twin sized beds with an occasional bunk, lockers in some of the rooms, no amenities or toiletries. However, they do serve a complimentary breakfast (nothing fancy, typical Euro breakfast with rolls/cheese/salami/fruit/etc) and also have a food counter/cafe for late night snacking--very important for the jet-lagged. My only real complaint about this place is that the wifi only works in the lobby and you need to request a username and login from the front desk. Pro tip: only 1 username/password for wifi per device. We stayed in the hotel part of JUFA, and the people we were travelling with stayed in the field house. We really didn't see much of a difference at all, aside from the layout of the rooms. One luxury that I did notice was that our room in the hotel part came with towel warmers in the bathroom. Why don't more places have these!? All of the people at the front desk were very kind and had good suggestions on what see and where to eat. They also have a couple electric bikes that you can rent for EU 1.50/hr. I highly recommend it--everyone in Salzburg bikes and it is a great way to get around town.

Yelp
Near the City of Salzburg. Friendly personal. Good breakfast. A lot of young people. Nice low cost hostel with small but clean rooms.

Yelp
You know the company is doing a good job when you don't want to leave! JUFA hostel was wonderful. A full breakfast, bedding, and towels where provided all for a inexpensive price. The staff where also very accommodating, friendly, and helped us figure out our travel plans. I have recommended this hostel to everyone I know. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Yelp
What a great location in the city and an overall great place to stay on a budget. There was a reservation mishap when we first checked in, but the girls at the check-in counter were very helpful and provided us an upgrade for a few days as a consolation. Honestly, it was difficult to see a difference between our upgraded room and the regular room we later moved into. The accomodations were so comfortable, bright, and clean. We stayed in one side of the building that had a beautiful view of the Festung Hohensalzburg in the Nonntal district. We were close to many of the beautiful's beautiful sites, so it was incredibly convenient to get to the bus stops that are only about a 5 minute walk from JUFA. They had a wonderful breakfast set-up in the morning and a nice mini-cafeteria in the lobby that served quick food after-hours. Wifi was dodgy - only worked if you could get the password. Overall, a great place to stay for international travelers staying in town to take in the beautiful city of Salzburg.

Yelp
The front garden area is very beautiful, but that's where the beauty ends for this hotel. Our room felt like satan's armpit and two of the guests checking in with us were assigned rooms with people already checked into them. Our room was supposed to house three people, but the third bed was locked up and we weren't able to access it until at least an hour after we checked in. Also, there was a party going on with loud music and yelling people until four in the morning. It was either open the window to make the room a livable temperature or close the window and get some sleep. Definitely would not be staying here again. Ever.
