I would highly recommend anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and lively atmosphere. We recently dined at Jugemu that exudes a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of delicious Japanese dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I recommend to try fresh oysters here. It was creamy in texture and had an fresh splash of sea flavor that I can only describe as “yummy.” The sushi rolls, adorned with inventive combinations, marry tradition with innovation, leaving an indelible impression. What truly stood out was the impeccable service – attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a delightful Japanese culinary journey!

Wow! A Japanese restaurant actually run by Japanese with Japanese sushi chefs! A rare find on the East coast for sure. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here. The food was exquisite—from the presentation to the taste. The ambience was simple, elegant and bright. I loved everything about this place. The manager and waiter were amazing. I loved that the restroom was upstairs (see pics). It was so quaint…like going up to a spa. Classy restroom…so clean, unlike most restaurants. This was my 2nd son’s birthday treat from my cousin. He ordered the American Wagyu Striploin Steak. Regrettably I forgot to take a picture. The problem with this place and it is a HUGE problem is EVERYTHING IS SO DARN TASTY. You’re gonna have a hard time choosing but don’t worry…because if all these dishes were that delicious, I’m sure everything will be delicious. Anyways, this wagyu steak was mind-blowing. My deepest thanks to my cousin for an amazing treat. Folks, I’m telling you, this place is worth a visit.

Positioned as very upscale and pricey. Quality of fish is good, but not amazing. Amount of fish could stand to be a bit larger. Every piece of chef selection had wasabi in it. One was almost overpowering in the amount. To be fair the waiter did ask of wasabi was acceptable and I said to let the chef decide. 3 color bowl was good. Cheesecake desert was excellent. Service was excellent, prompt and attentive.

This is a wonderful upscale local restaurant. Inside is beautifully decorated with wooden finish. The menu is quite elegant with most types of Japanese dishes available. But each section has limited items, such as few sashimi, few hand rolls, few appetizers. There are wine, sake and regular drinks. They also have Omakase experience by counter, which needs reservation ahead of time. Foodwise, loved the eel bento box. Eel was marinated and cooked so well. Loved the taste. Sushi rolls, chicken skewers were fine. I wasn’t fond of the Waygu steak, it needed to be cooked better. Everyone at the restaurant were super nice. The sushi chef was wonderful as he made couple of mini sushis for our daughter.

The place is too nice, the food was fire!!! and the service was super super good. I will definitely go again… btw the salmon teriyaki is the best salmon teriyaki that I ever tried! 100% recommended

Very authentic Japanese cuisine and good atmosphere in the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer w/Gozen add-on (+$8) and assorted tempura w/Gozen add-on (+$8) for the dinner. Food was delicious and the portions were okay. I wished they could include an Oshinko (Japanese pickled vegetables) in the add-on. But overall it was pretty good and we’re satisfied. We’ll definitely come back for their lunch special next time. I highly recommend this place.

Clean restaurant. Service was inconsistent from very attentive to non existent. Fresh food with quality ingredients but portion size was questionable depending on the dish. Very lacking in seasoning. Salmon sushi 5 ways was quality but too subtle and almost tasted all the same. Mochi ice cream was disgusting. Store bought is better. Might try again to see how the other menu items are.
