Great clean youth hostel that is well situated. The staff was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend staying there!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at the hostel in Saanen. It was relatively quiet in the hostel, probably because it was already off season. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and very cozy. For breakfast and dinner there was always a delicious selection of homemade dishes. And the staff is very welcoming and had some nice recommendations for daily activities. In total, we can really recommend this place and would definitely choose it again!

I went at an off peak time as it is not ski season yet. There were very few people, do I had my 6-person mixed dorm to myself. The guy at the front desk put me in a room with a beautiful view. They give you bed linens and there are towels to rent. The showers are spacious, have hot water, and there is a 2-in-1 soap dispenser. The breakfast was a traditional Swiss Hostel breakfast: cold cuts, bread, yogurt, muesli, and coffee machine.

A family room for four, there is even enough space for grown up children, comfortable beds, nice to have shower, toilet and wash basin apart. The common areas are decent, the place is clean and the family welcoming. Breakfast is fine. We were there at a quiet time over Christmas, so we had easy access to table tennis and table foot. But if the house is fuller passtime activites are thin. One table tennis, one baby foot, one smallish room for X-Box or films - not really enough. If children are grown up the one room comes at more than 220 CHF - that is steep for what it is.

We stayed for one night during the Swiss National Holiday weekend. First of all, I must say the staff here was totally awesome. We had many inquiries before our visit and the staff was most flexible during our changing schedule and they were so quick in responding to our questions.||||We were very pleased with our room and the hostel in general. Check-in with Josua went smoothly. He was really friendly, welcoming and professional.||||The hostel has very limited parking which is located at the front of the property. There is a very nice play area: bocce ball, table tennis, games, toys, deck seating. The lobby/dining seating area is pretty massive. In the lobby there is also a TV/Internet corner, pay coffee machine, wine available at front desk, X-box game room located upstairs and more. There are indoor games available when the weather outside is not co-operating. The place is definitely family friendly and totally acceptable for those physically challenged.||||The standard double room was simple, yet very functional. Each room has a window, storage space, bed with night stand and lamps, wall outlets, private walk-in shower, combo shower/shampoo wash, towel and bedding provided for this category room. The beds were very comfortable.||||Dinner during our visit was Mexican night, which was the only downside I would say for our stay, fortunately there was soup, salad bar, fruit, desserts, and water available.||||Breakfast was very good. A large selection of breads, butter, sliced meats/cheese, variety of marmalade, muesli, juices, cereal, milk (+soy and lactose-free), a very nice cheese platter and more.||||Note:||-Parking is very limited and costs 7 or 12 CHF. We had reserved a spot in advance that was taken upon our arrival. Josua was able to correct the problem. Book in advance.||-Request room on the front facing of the hostel as the back side may have you staring at the hill behind the hotel.||||Suggestions:||-Parking is insufficient for the number of guests checking in. At the very least reserve in advance. ||-Discontinue serving the Mexican burrito night; the food quality was very poor and really reflected negatively of the hostel.

This is a really nice, modern hostel. The decor is lovely and the room I was in (4 bed shared dorm) was a really good size. It wasn't busy while I was there so I actually had the room to myself! The breakfast is good and included in the price. It's a short walk into Saanen and the ski bus (which is free) stops just down the road. The only negative is that there is no kitchen (they have a small room with a microwave and kettle but no plates, cups, cutlery, etc).
