Google
Juicy Dumplings is a fast casual restaurant that will satisfy your cravings for soup dumplings! The dumplings are only 6 for $4.99! I waited only a few minutes before my order was ready, so it was fresh and hot. They serve other Shanghainese food daily, and they're open 24 hours from Friday-Sunday! Give them a try!

Google
I have been to Juicy Dumplings quite a few times now. They added more items to their menu and you can now order in-person or on one of their touch screen kiosks. The price went up but the dumplings are still juicy and full of soup (though the soup is not as steaming hot as I remembered). They do have walk-in specials where the price of their dumplings are a bit cheaper but there is a minimum spend and a date and timeframe for when you are eligible for it. Despite the changes, prices are still very affordable here. We ordered their Steamed Mini Soup Dumpling (Pork; 6 pieces), Shrimp Wonton Soup (8 pieces) and their Pan Fried Juicy Buns (Pork; 4 pieces). I missed grabbing a photo of their Pan Fried Juicy Buns but everything was super tasty and just as I remembered from my previous visits. There is still a bit of a wait time and it's also pretty busy inside. They haven't revamped the area inside so it still has very basic and tight seating but it does the trick if all you need is a seat and table to enjoy your juicy dumplings.

Google
The best dumpling shop in Chinatown with the lowest prices!! Must-try when visiting the area. I got the pan fried pork soup dumplings and they were sooo good!! Super juicy on the inside and charred flavour on the bottom sets them apart from everywhere else. Absolutely delicious!! Pan-fried soup dumplings are only $5.99 and the steamed soup dumplings are only $4.99, which is absolutely unheard of. They have limited seating inside. The store can be accessed from the main entrance on Dundas St or from inside the Dragon City Mall. Highly highly recommend!!!

Google
The staff is nice and friendly. The $2.99 for 6 dumplings is a good deal. It requires purchasing over $10 to have this offer. There are many students and youngsters in this restaurant during lunch time.

Google
Great value and great food! The dumplings were fresh and tasted fantastic. They offer a wide variety of options too. Highly recommend this spot for dumplings, the sign isn't lying either, it is a MUST try!

Google
I had the pleasure of visiting this incredible dumpling spot in downtown Toronto, and it was an absolute delight! The dumplings were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted – bursting with delicious broth and savory fillings. Every bite felt like a warm hug for my taste buds. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, making it a great place for a casual meal or a quick bite with friends. If you’re a dumpling lover, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

Google
I enjoyed their authentic and flavorful xiaolongbao, but the other foods made me somehow disappointed... The suimai was soft and bland inside, the meat portion of filling was so low. The fried chicken were hard and dry - more like reheated frozen pieces even being overcooked. A “Toronto Must Try”restaurant in Chinatown shouldn't be like that.

Google
On my way to check out Nanyang Fusion, I passed by Juicy Dumpling and couldn’t resist grabbing a quick bite. I’d heard their soup dumplings were tasty and a great deal—and they didn’t disappoint! I got six juicy pork soup dumplings for just $5. Bonus: if you spend $10 or more, you can score six dumplings for only $2.99. Now that’s a deal 😋 If you like my foodie review add me on instragram at eatsomethingnewwithvictor

Yelp
These are hands-down the best dumplings! The price is reasonable and the portions are generous and the soup dumplings are just so good! For around $3-$4 you are able to get their soup dumplings which comes with 6 pieces. Everything here is reasonably priced. Overall, whenever I go here it's always extremely busy especially during the weekend which makes sense because they are definitely worth the hype. They also have sesame balls and other delicious offerings but I definitely recommend their soup dumplings!

Minnie L.

Yelp
The soup dumplings were decent for $4.99 plus tax. However it's $2.98 for the same dumplings if you ordered $10 or more of food. The vegetable bun with Chinese spinach was good but was pricey for $2.85 plus tax. The service was too quick and seemed that the dumplings might have been pre steamed instead of made to order because it appeared like dim sum served in a cart style rather hot to the table. It was warmish in temperature. Good for a quick eat type of meal or snack though if you're in a rush. Ambiance is a cheap eats fast food atmosphere and it is reflected in the food being ready so quickly.

Lyndsay J.

Yelp
Juicy dumpling 100% lives up to the hype!! My friend and I came here last night to try their famous dim sum and we were so happy with everything we ordered. Unless you walk, take the subway, or bus, you will have to pay $5/2hr at the parking structure attached to the restaurant. Upon entering, you have the option to order through their kiosks (if paying card or tap) or the front (if paying cash). The menu is pretty straightforward, it tells you everything you need to know regarding portion, price, and what comes in it. My friend ordered the juicy pan fried pork bun and steamed pork/crab soup dumplings, and I ordered the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The restaurant was moderately busy but the food came out so fast I swear it took less than 10 minutes of a wait. The dumplings were all love at first bite. You can tell the wrappers they use are made from scratch, which definitely makes or breaks a dumpling. Soy sauce and chili sauce packets are included but if you need more, there is a self serve section next to the cash register. Very simple yet memorable experience and even though I live in Oakville I would ABSOLUTELY make the hour long trip just to eat here again. We're both still thinking about how we should've ordered more to take home, lol. 11/10 recommend :)

Daniel V.

Yelp
Came here to try the soup dumplings, but honestly they were just average. Typically the soup is piping hot, but the dumplings here came out like warm. I had higher expectations going in, so I left a little underwhelmed. Seating is super limited, so be ready to wait. On the plus side, the prices are great and the service was really fast, we got our food in no time.

Generous Y.

Yelp
Definitely a must try in Toronto! Sign feels like clickbait but it's cheap, affordable, and compares well to higher price point dumplings. By no means are the dumplings here elite, but they are on par with most dumplings at a fraction of the cost. Ordering is very easy with their numbering system (P# for pan fried, S# for steamed, etc). P1 Pan Fried (pork) - honestly the pan fry sounded amazing but it doesn't work that well in XLB style. Felt like less soup and the crisp wasn't that relevant with the small surface area. P4 Pan Fried (chicken) - the pan fry here is much better with more ground to cover, though opt for P3 because it's so juicy. The chicken made this a bit more dry, no juices leaked through, meanwhile the pork one was dripping like a XLB! S1 Steamed (pork) - like a XLB with hearty soup, a very classic dumpling that has no wrongs. Not dried out and it was amazing, on par with most higher priced soup dumplings out there.

Doug L.

Yelp
Dumplings were on my mind as I walked through Chinatown. Checked Yelp and this Juicy Dumpling was the top rated one based on my current location. Inside there were two kiosks to place orders. XLB, pan fried, fried, boiled and baked were their dumpling offerings. Seating was functional and tables for two lined each wall. All orders were served in paper containers except soup came in plastic bowls. They give you your sauces when picking up the order at the counter. My order took a little longer because it included spicy shrimp won tons. I guess more time was needed to boil the wontons? Unfortunately I didn't like the sauce as it had no taste or heat. It was the most expensive dish I ordered and with that high expectations that were not met. The Crab and pork XLBs were big and juicy. The wrappers were a bit thicker than I'm used to but they held up without being too doughy. I missed the vinegar and ginger that normally gets served with XLBs elsewhere. I had to make do with just soy sauce. The pan fried juicy buns were the best dish of the night. There were four in my order and I savored them. Nice crunch from the pan frying, lots of pork inside and so much juice. 5 stars for this one. Toronto has so many dumpling places that I will try before returning here on my next trip.

David G.

Yelp
Very basic order at the kiosk and pick up your order...generic tasting buns and dumplings. Ambiance is Orwellian. There are many other places to get great dim sum around....go there instead

Joe P.

Yelp
We got to Toronto late and we needed someplace quick to eat and u have had this place on my go to list for years. I have seen so many food vloggers rave about this place for its cheap eats, and it did not disappoint!! Just to be clear, if you are looking for the best dumplings you have ever had this is NOT the place!! BUT, if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, this is ABSOLUTELY the place!! We ordered the steamed pork soup dumplings, steamed pork and cream dumplings, pan fried pork soup dumplings and the spicy wonton in chili oil. Service was pretty quick although it was late but still pretty crowded. Interior is very fast foody feeling. The SIX steamed pork dumplings were 2.99 Canadian, which at current exchange is around US$2.20!!! That's less than 40 cents per dumpling. How can you beat that bang!! In NY, 6 pork soup dumplings are almost $10!! They use shrimp in the wontons with chili oil so that is much more expensive although still less than US$8 for 8 wontons!! Flavors were all pretty good although temps were not great. As others have said, there is not a big taste difference between pork and pork/crab although is some. We never had pan fried soup dumplings before. Not bad but we like traditional better. So why 4 stars? They give you only soy sauce for the soup dumplings instead of mix of soy sauce and black vinegar; and no ginger. Also, they come out just a little warm not steaming hot. The chili oil could also have been tastier/spicier. But again, bang for buck is unbeatable as long as that is your focus!

Sheree Z.

Yelp
$4.99 for 6/pc of pork soup dumpling - literally TOO good to be true but it is! I'm Asian and I've had my fair share of soup dumplings and this place might be top 5. The moment I paid, it was ready within .005 seconds. They were fresh and piping hot and FILLED WITH SOUP! Actually blown away. Came for a quick food stop to get a light snack but I might just come here for dinner instead. Affordable and great flavors? In this economy?? Amazing.

Diane S.

Yelp
I found out about this place after doing some research on Google and was led to Juicy Dumpling. I ordered the Steamed Soup Dumplings with pork and another with pork and crab. I also got the Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings and Shrimp Wontons with spicy sauce. It's good for the price, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for soup dumplings where you can really slurp the soup, this isn't the place. The one I tried wasn't juicy at all. I guess that's why people on Reddit call this the McDonald's version of a soup dumpling. If you're after dumplings filled with delicious broth, this might not be the spot for you. You'll miss out on that slurp-worthy experience that defines a great soup dumpling. But overall, it was enjoyable.

Valerie C.

Yelp
Delicious and cheap food, quick service. Would definitely come back. Not too many seats inside though. My favorite were the pan fried pork buns!

Spencer Y.

Yelp
The name doesn't lie. One of juiciest dumplings out there. Would definitely recommend if you're a fan of dumplings. The come out fresh on out so be sure to eat them right away.

Vinkin Ken T.

Yelp
As their name implies, their dumplings are not only juicy but they are yummy too. I like that they open till late. When I came in on a Sunday around 9:10pm there was a short line. There was only standing room counter to eat. So this place is a quick eat and go type of place. No lingering around. The tables and chairs for dine in were put away. I ordered the pan fried soup dumplings with pork - $5.99 pan fried soup dumplings with pork and crab - $7.99 and the pan fried juicy pork buns - $4.99. I would totally get the pork items again. A tasty and cheap snack.

Wendy C.

Yelp
Quick, cheap, and tasty! Heard about this place before coming and had to give it a try. Came here 2 times during my time in Toronto! We came around 9-10 pm both times so the seating area was closed off but there was a standing table on the side you can still eat at. We tried the pan fried juicy buns and pan fried pork mini soup dumpings the first time. Both were delicious. The mini soup dumplings were juicy and tasty. The pan fried buns came out hot and fresh, tasty filling and good dough. The two orders came out to under $10 usd, great value! The second time we had to get the pan fried juicy buns again but also wanted to try some other items. We got the steamed pork soup dumplings and pan fried crab and pork soup dumplings. The steamed one was also very good with tasty filling and soup. But there wasn't much of a crab taste in the pan fried one so would just go with the pork one. Would recommend trying multiple if you can but if you just want 2 I'd go with the pan fried buns and steamed pork soup dumplings to get the variety. There was a line both times we went, but it goes by quick and not a long wait for the food either. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're around. My favorite were the pan fried juicy buns!

Marisa C.

Yelp
The dumplings were so delicious!! We tried the Xiao long bao ones. They had the perfect amount of dumpling dough to juice ratio and the price was good too. The only downside is we didn't realize this wasn't a sit down place so we had to eat on the go. I definitely recommend only grabbing pick up. The small amount of tables they had were really crowded. The place due to its size also was pretty messy due to customers leaving trash on the ground. So overall it could be cleaner, but I understand due to how busy this place is the staff probably have little down time to clean up. Overall I'd definitely go back when I visit Toronto again!

Sarah P.

Yelp
Located right on the side of Dragon City in Chinatown (corner of Dundas & Spadina) Juicy Dumplings is perfect for anyone looking for cheap eats. I found the prices are more than reasonable for the portion sizes. I ordered the standard Soup Dumplings and the Chicken Fried Dumplings, and thought they were good enough for the price point. The service is quick, and there's plenty of seating, making it a great spot for a casual, and filling meal.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Juicy Dumpling lived up to their "cheap and good" name! We ordered so much food and it only came out to around $40 after tax. Fed me and two others but we could have ordered a little more to feel full rather than just satisfied. Going clockwise in the photo starting from the lone steamed bun, this is what we had: - BBQ Pork Steamed Bun - $2.85 - Steamed Mini Soup Dumpling (Pork) - $4.99 for 6 - Pan Fried Mini Soup Dumpling (Pork) - $5.99 for 6 - Shrimp Wonton W/Spicy Sauce (8Pc) - $10.99 - Steamed Mini Soup Dumpling (Crab+Pork) - $7.59 for 6 - Pan Fried Shumai Pork&Onion (4pcs) - $3.99 My absolute favorite was the Pan Fried Pork & Onion Shumai which were so juicy, crispy, and flavorful. I think I could have like 20 of em. The Spicy Shrimp wontons were super plump and tasty as well. Everything else was good, but I wish the items came out hotter. If they were freshly steamed I expect them to burn my mouth lol. Service was meh. Person at the register didn't exchange any words with us at all. He honestly seemed quite fed up from what seems like a long and busy day. There is limited seating especially because this spot is constantly busy. Super casual vibes. Located in Chinatown and very close to university, I see why this place is so popular.

Samantha D.

Yelp
I can see the appeal of this place. The cheap and fast meal. It's okay, but I wouldn't say it's anything special. Definitely not my first choice for soup dumplings. The dumpling wrap was a little bit thick all around. The pan fried bottoms could've been more crispy. Overall, I think if you want a filling, cheap meal, this is your place. Don't expect amazing dumplings though.

Phebe C.

Yelp
My comfort food! The pan fried pork buns and the xiao long bao are my favourite. So juicy with a perfect, thin wrap - even better than the ones I've had back home! But this is definitely not the spot to sit and talk because they get so busy.

Megan G.

Yelp
Our favourite dumpling place downtown. Price is affordable, and the dumplings are tasty. We order the XLBs and the pan fried juicy buns. I wouldn't go here to eat inside because it's small and crowded. It's more for pick up!

Michael Y.

Yelp
Yep, this is the spot to hit up for dumplings on the go! Straightforward, fast, and very well priced! The dumplings are good for the price! Heck, I tried five different types! This is incomparable and practically impossible to get for the same price in the inflated ballooning economy of the USA. This would be called "tapas" or be glorified / "gourmet," and the total would come out to be $100 USD somehow (2024) for 5 orders of dumplings. So this order at Juicy Dumplings was very refreshing to me. It was good. And because it is affordable, I think gee, I wouldn't mind coming back. It was packed; tons of people were ordering and picking it up. It was fast-paced. Yep, another staple like Chinese fast food - awesome!

Mia H.

Yelp
Amazing spot for a quick, cheap bite! This spot is known for their dumpling and XLB and for a good reason. It's quick service and really comforting dumplings make it a great spot to enjoy some warm food. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area and wanting some quick, delicious dumplings!

Raymond Y.

Yelp
Good price and delicious. Great xiao long bao with a great price. I wanted to try the shrimp spicy dumpling

Marnie S.

Yelp
It has been a few months since I was at Juicy Dumpling, but just came across the photo in my camera roll and was reminded that I never wrote a review. Juicy dumpling is very busy--for a good reason. The line was out the door and every table was taken, however, it was well worth the wait and eating the dumplings in our car. The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, or inside for that matter, but the food makes up for that. haha! Soup dumplings are some of my favorite things and these were so so good! The flavor was spot on and the price was very reasonable for 6 pan fried soup dumplings. We also got an order of the scallion pancakes, something I have always enjoyed as well. They were a bit on the oily side...but I think that is pretty typical of scallion pancakes. Simple menu, great food, definitely recommend!

Mei Lan M.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today. It was pretty busy and hard to get seating, as it's limited. But turnover is quick, so if you wait around, you should be able to get seating. I ordered the pork soup dumplings, pork pan fried juicy buns and the shrimp wonton soup - all were flavourful, delicious and a good size. My favourite were the soup dumplings. I look forward to returning again.

Jon C.

Yelp
Tip: make sure you know what the number or numbers (each item has a number) you want before ordering. Figure it out in line. Alright, Xiao long bao is OK. Hits the spot. The fried dumpling is basically fried Xiao long bao, which is not what I wanted. It could be better. The hot chili wonton, decent. You can taste the shrimp. Chili was meh. Overall I was would say the food is just OK, not as great as I hoped. On flip side my dumpling crazy kid did love it.

Grace M.

Yelp
Made a quick stop here for soup dumplings. The shop was located inside Dragon City Mall in China town. It's a small shop with some inside seating. We were lucky and there were no lines and we were able to snag a table. I got the crab and pork dumplings and a bbq pork bun. The order was made quickly and everything was fresh and hot. The soup dumpling was nice with thin skin and meaty inside. I couldn't really taste the crab, so I'll prob stick to pork ones next time. The pork bun was my favorite. The bread was soft and fluffy and the filling was so good. It's not red like the traditional ones that I've had, but I would go back for these buns again!! Overall, a good stop to satisfy my dumpling cravings.

Cin C.

Yelp
Cheap and quick, you can easily grab a dumpling order (steamed or fried) for under $5. I was impressed to see that our fried dumplings actually had a nice char on them and were juicy and filling. We ordered one fried chicken dumpling, one fried soup dumpling and some scallion pancakes for all under $25. Not bad for a quick lunch for two. Not much seating for such a busy place, but tables turn over quickly so just wait around for one.

Mary T.

Yelp
I love dumplings. I have flagged coming to Juicy Dumpling for a while. I have come close to getting food from this eatery a couple of times within the last year, except that I ended up doing dim sum across the street. I didn't feel like it afterwards. However, I was in Chinatown in July for ice cream and bubble tea, so I was ready to grab takeout here. Juicy Dumpling is on Fantuan. I ordered these items through the app: - Steamed mini soup dumplings (6) - Pan-fried chicken dumplings (4) - Shrimp wonton (8) in a spicy sauce I got word that it would take twenty minutes to prepare. It was enough time for me to wrap up shopping at Chinatown Centre and walk up the street. Juicy Dumpling is part of Dragon Centre. I hadn't been here in eons. The eatery has a separate street entrance off Dundas Street West. You can also cut through the eatery to get to the mall. I got a man at the counter. I said that I had a Fantuan order and rattled off the last three digits of my order. He couldn't find my order. It was a bit troublesome. I showed him the order number off my app. He still couldn't find it. He had to ask his female colleague who immediately found my order packed in a paper bag with handles. Weird. It was the only downside to this experience. I thanked both folks and headed out the door, and around the corner to my car. There is seating at this eatery. I'd say that it was 60% full when I was there at around 7:30 pm. Seating is limited, so there's always the food court if there isn't any free seating. I had thought about eating my food at home. However, it smelled so good next to me in the car that I ate everything immediately. I had enough paid parking time to indulge. The pan-fried chicken dumplings were excellent. The wrapper on each one was crispy at the bottom and delicious all around. The chicken filling was generous and seasoned nicely. The dumplings were a bit oiler than I had expected. They glistened, to the point where I thought that they were dumpling bodybuilders. However, they didn't taste greasy. I had the soup dumplings next. They were delicate. Each one had delicious soup in them. I wish that they had more soup. Perhaps it was such a hot day that a lot of it had evaporated by the time I got to my car. The broth was divine and the pork filling was excellent. I then indulged in the shrimp wontons in a spicy sauce. It was my least favourite because it needed more flavour. The shrimp were fresh, but weren't seasoned. This dish needed more green onions and flavouring to make it special. The spicy sauce was hot and didn't have any flavour to help out the natural shrimp flavour of the wontons. Green onions would have helped. I'd be happy if there were peanuts or some garnish. It was unseasoned shrimp in a spicy sauce. Boring. I'd return for more dumplings. I'd pass on the hot shrimp wontons. Stick to the pork and chicken fillings instead. (340)

Angelica L.

Yelp
Quick, cheap and good value. The dumplings taste good and the food comes out relatively quick. There's not much service involved as they operate more like a takeout place. Very inflation friendly. One thing I want you all to remember about Juicy dumplings. Is that Juicy Dumplings gives you Juicy Dumps.

VyVy V.

Yelp
December 2022: May not look like much from the outside (or even inside the restaurant), but I'm so glad I listened to other reviews and came here! Some of the best soup dumplings I've had! Simple, no frills menu - but that's really all you need. The dumplings also came out pretty quickly. My husband and I were there just for a quick tasting bite, but I honestly could've gone for even more dumplings! It can be a little hard to locate since it's located inside a "mall". You can either enter through the mall entrance or there's an exit from the street as well.

Kai-Wen L.

Yelp
Ok, I think it's time to update my review. I gave this restaurant only 2 stars one year ago. I thought I would never enter this restaurant but I still bring my family here because it's really a popular location. Surprisingly, this time the baos became very delicious and juicy. I really don't understand why. It's the same store. Last time, I remembered there were still restrictions for the pandemic and there was no seat at all. It now has several tables and seats for customers to enjoy the meals. Although it was crowded because too many customers flooded this restaurant during the weekend, I was happy that things finally returned to normal after 3 years of the pandemic.

Kelvin L.

Yelp
Mar. 2024 Located in Dragon City Mall, it is a small location usually with a line to/out the door. Their prices have increased, not surprisingly, but still a great deal for what you get. The food comes in paper boxes that stack well and their commitment to reduce waste is evident at checkout, you will need to ask for anything you need, and this is clearly communicated on the menu and checkout/ordering. Order: - P5 Pan fried green onion pancakes (8 pc) - P1 Pan fried mini soup dumpling (6 pc) - S1 Steamed mini soup dumpling (6 pc) The Steamed and Pan fried mini soup dumplings are top 3 on the menu for a reason, consistent, flavourful, juicy, meaty. There isn't more dough than necessary and the taste is already perfect as is, without extra condiments. This is very much a order, pickup, and go place, there are very few tables and seating. Most everyone that don't just do takeout, seat, eat, and vacate quickly for the next group. Service is fast, and a line to the door usually takes 10 - 15 mins and about 5 - 10 min for your order to be picked-up. Definitely the to-go place for that dumpling craving and for a fast bite.

Colette Y.

Yelp
This place doesn't have a lot of seating but it was so busy! It attracted a lot of younger crowd All food came in to-go containers Both wraps for the soup dumplings and pan fried buns were on the thinner side which was great. Some places the wrapping is so thick there was barely any meat but not the case with this place. Pretty flavorful. The pork was a bit on the fattier side but overall great eat for the price!

Alex C.

Yelp
A year later - another price increase. Not so cheap anymore. I guess with inflation and everything, it was inevitable, but now, you'd definitely need at LEAST $10 worth of food to be full. There are better options if we are talking about cheap eats. Dumplings are still delicious though. Prices: S1 (The soup dumplings): $2.99 (2019) --- $3.99 (2022 / 2023) --- $4.99 (2024) P1 (Pan fried version): $5.99 (Feb 2024) P3 (Pan fried juicy bun): $4.99

Boon C.

Yelp
If you look for fast food soup dumplings with good ingredients, this is a good choice. This place is a good food to try below $10. Great affordable food can be found here. We have several different soup dumplings. They are all good to have. Sack skin, good meat, plenty of soup and more. This fast food is fast and easy. Love it. Order through counter. Seat is limited. Very popular. I would recommend it.

Assoumpta I.

Yelp
The service was amazing and very quick. The chicken pan fried dumplings were my favorite!

Dhriti C.

Yelp
This is such a good find if you're looking for tasty but cheap eats. Restaurant by itself isn't that much of a sit down, I usually just order from here for delivery or pick it up for take out. Their service is quite fast considering they always have a big line of people trying to order. Most of the dumplings are very tasty and flavorful. I usually get the soupy chicken ones. Definitely recommend!!

Becky C.

Yelp
A Toronto staple!! The mini soup dumplings are a great choice and at $3.99 per half dozen you can't go wrong! I brought a friend who was visiting the city and did an order of the mini soup dumplings and a BBQ pork bun. Both were very good. We were lucky and were able to secure a spot to sit inside. The buzzer system works well and the food came out really quickly. It's not a show-stopper but it's a great deal!

Lea H.

Yelp
In Toronto, we decided to walk around and hit a few spots for snackies. Saw Juicy Dumpling reviewed elsewhere and added it to our list. It's def a fast casual type spot. No real street parking so take public transit, walk or find a parking lot. We tried soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings. The soup dumplings are definitely the way to go. They do have some other menu items but we didn't try them. I believe they're open late nights so they would be a great after hours option too.

Yelp
A lifeline of my trip to Toronto. Great food and excellent quality, and an extremely convenient ordering system and hours. I tried the crab+pork dumplings, the squid dumplings, the spinach bao, and the mushroom-flavored bao. My favorite was the mushroom bao, and the dumplings were also excellent. Food was cooked to order, the whole setup is very efficient. A very strong recommendation for this part of Toronto

Yelp
staff are friendly, dumplings are tasty - however, beware they may be raw still sometimes. just let the staff know or ask for the cook well done. this happened to us 2x and a few others. all on all, great value- bang for your buck dumpling spot!

Yelp
Fried soup dumplings! Enough said! I feel like all foodies or dim summers have tried soup dumplings but you've never had them fried before! They're still soupy and the only difference is the fried bottom. I'm surprised the juice/soup inside is still intact from frying but I guess they out care into the prep. Think if a soup dumplings married a pot sticker and you have the juicy dumpling.

Yelp
Average dumpling place that can satiate your hunger on a budget. The pan fried dumplings costs $1.50 more then the steamed ones and it wasnt even that crispy. The ambiance is also average, if you go during peak times it will be hard to get seats, standing room only on the ledge. Overall, it's a good place to grab a quick bite and the dumplings are ready pretty quickly.

Yelp
The pan fried juicy buns (P3) are amazing. They're incredibly juicy and the outside is perfectly thin and crispy! I would definitely recommend the juicy buns over the XLB, which were fine but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
I wish i had a better experience. It was so busy, my dumpling was cold the moment i got it. I order one order of the shu mai, dumpling and pork bun. I have had better dumpling that was hot and juice. When i got the dumpling and shu mai, it was cold and no juice. It was pretty cheap, but not as tasty as people claim. The atmosphere was super loud and a lot of people. It was super busy and that could had been the reason all of my food didnt come out warm. The service was ok. Talking through a speaker and the plastic cover is difficult. Maybe I'll try it when there are less people. Maybe it could be better.

Yelp
Juicy Dumpling, located near the intersection of Spadina and Dundas, serves up Shanghai-style dumplings. One of the highlights of this fast casual restaurant is their 3.99 pork soup dumpling special (used to be 2.99!). 6 soup dumplings (either fried or steamed) for 3.99 makes it one of the best cheap eats in the city. They also serve juicy pork buns, and other small snacks. The concept of the restaurant is to pay for your order at the counter and then find a seat where ever you choose. I remember the hype of Juicy Dumpling when they first opened and never got a chance to try it until now. Currently, they have expanded to 2 locations - one in Chinatown, the other in midtown Toronto near Yonge and Eglinton. I dropped by Juicy Dumpling on a weekday for lunch around 12:30pm. The restaurant was full but not super busy. I opted for a steamed soup dumpling (S1) and an order of the pan fried juicy buns (pork). Placed my order at the counter where they gave me a buzzer. I sat down to wait for my food. Food was made at a reasonable time (didn't have to wait long). Picked up my order from the pick up area, snapped a few photos of my dumplings, and sat down to enjoy the goodness. Food wise, overall, not a bad cheap eats meal for around $10. The dumplings were not super hot which was not a problem for me (easier to eat and didn't have to worry about getting my tongue burned from the heat). Overall, taste wise, all the dumplings had a lot of meat. The soup dumplings had a lot of soup inside. I opted to eat the dumplings whole and as I bit into one all the juice just exploded in my mouth. The deep fried juicy pork dumplings also had a lot of soup inside the dumpling but I found them a bit oily. The restaurant only provided soy sauce and hot sauce for everyone - wish they had some black vinegar! Overall, decent dumplings for the price you pay. Would return for a quick lunch in the future!

Yelp
This is a popular place to get dim sum in Toronto's Chinatown and I can see why. Where else can you get six soup dumplings for $3.99 CAD (~$3 USD)? I had to see if it was worth the hype. I came when it just opened at 11 AM on a Sunday and the place was empty. There's a lot of tables inside as well. You order at the cashier and they give you a buzzer. I ordered the six soup dumplings and the fried shumai dumplings (4 for $3.99). My order was ready in five minutes. The soup dumplings didn't have much soup but still had a good amount of pork filling. It actually was not bad for $3.99. The bottoms of the fried shumai were crispy and had a good amount of shrimp filling. The food was not bad for fast food dim sum and very affordable. I think it was worth the trip!
