"Jules et Jim is a chicly designed 23-room hotel housed in a former processing plant. It has modern conveniences like a bar, a fully-equipped gym, and a gallery space. It's near many Parisian must-sees, like the contemporary art museum Centre Pompidou and the 17th-century Place des Vosges."
"Among the increasingly trendy streets of the Upper Marais, this intimate hotel offers a refreshingly low-key place to unpack. Named for the classic Francois Truffaut film, and set in a former precious metal factory, Jules & Jim has a low-fi artistic bent. The ground-floor lobby and bar—both set off a central, glass-roofed courtyard and garden—feature a rotating collection of works by local painters, photographers, and graphic artists, as well as residential-style seating and bookshelves lined with bric-a-brac. Spread over three structures, the 23 rooms range in size; the “Jules” options in the main building are the smallest and best for solo travelers, while the “Hi-Macs,” “Sous Les Toits,” and “Duplex” accommodations work better for two guests or longer stays. Some categories include perks like terraces, sofa-beds, Nespresso machines, and views of Montmarte, but all come with Bluetooth sound systems, free Wi-Fi, rainfall showers, and access to 24-hour room service (note that there are no mini-bars or fridges). Amenities like the intimate bar (which spills out into the garden), art exhibits, and a regular calendar of events—from DJs and screenings to holiday parties—draw neighborhood residents as well as hotel guests. Those looking to explore Paris in style can reserve the hotel’s private 1961 Citroen DS, or book a cruise on the Seine in a vintage, Venetian-style water taxi. Also available through the hotel are day passes to a nearby gym, and food- and art-themed walking tours of the Marais."
We loved our stay Jules & Jim! It is a unique and creative hotel. Our room was interesting, imaginative and immaculate with views of the neighborhood. The staff is multilingual, very helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly, yet very private too. Enjoyed having a cocktail at the bar prior to our night out. Looking forward to a return visit!

We’ve stayed here twice and absolutely love it! It’s so warm and comfortable, we feel right at home. The staff are incredible - very welcoming and accommodating. The location in the Marais is perfection as it’s close to a few metro stations, restaurants, and attractions.
The only caveat (and this isn’t anything to do with the hotel) the street it’s located on is narrow and one way, so if you need a car service or taxi you’ll either need to go down a street or two or be prepared to meet your car service right at the front so as not to block car, bicycle, or pedestrian traffic.
We consider this our Paris home and we can’t wait to see them again!

The best part of our stay is hard to limit to one! The staff were incredible. Kelly, Nicholas, Regis and Simon were all so helpful and kind. The breakfast area and bar are light an airy! After a tiring day of getting about, to be able to sit in the lovely bar and sip a gin and tonic was so relaxing. The hotel's location was near restaurants, cafes and the Metro. Our room was comfortable and easily accessed by an elevator.. We had our own balcony to sip lattes or have chacuterie. The bar had excellent cocktails and great food. This was our second stay at Jules & Jim and we highly recommend it.

Great location, hotel and staff. Rooms are very nice and seems newly renovated. We had Duplex room. Quite and nice street where the hotel is located. Totally quiet room. Nice backyard and great drinks. Bartender very serviceminded. Reception staff very helpful and polite. Short walk to nearest Metro.

2nd time at J&J and it was FABULOUS. Perfect Haute Marais location (so in old-style language both 'cool' and 'proper'). All staff so helpful and friendly and polite at all times. It is very cute and stylish and a lovely place to stay. We had fab views from the 7th floor Hi Mac but it is a tight fit with the large bed but good for a w/end (no longer). Will definitely stay there next time we're in Paris. It is a memorable and special hotel :-)

Location is fantastic. We were fortunate to have one of the 2 ground floor rooms which are wheelchair accessible and therefore very spacious. The bed was super comfy and the walk in shower is terrific. The only negatives were lack of tea/coffee making facilities (though admittedly we were only 2 steps from the bar), and the lack of sockets. There were 2 in the bedroom but low down. There was no mirror in the bedroom so inconvenient for using the hairdryer. We found some of the staff to be a little offhand at times - maybe that's just a cultural difference! We had the "express" breakfast of juice, coffee and croissant which was good, though there are also lots of coffee shops on the doorstep. The hotel is very smart and clean. Everything looked fresh and new. I would certainly recommend it

Wonderful stay! The location is a perfect 100—ideal for exploring exotic foods and boutique shops. The gym is a hidden gem, impressively outfitted with TechnoGym equipment despite its compact size. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Our first trip to Paris was definitely enhanced by staying at the wonderful Hôtel Jules et Jim, just a short walk north of the Gayborhood in Le Marais part of Paris. It is located near many good restaurants, cafés, bars, shops including boutiques in this old enchanting neighborhood.
Making reservations was easy on the internet and communication by email was reliably good. (Note: we had to put down a first night deposit because we stayed more than 4 nights.)
I heard over and over that Paris hotel rooms are tiny, so I expected hugging the walls to get around the bed. That was not the case. There was ample room with plenty of storage space in room 23, that had a chic bathroom with Molton Brown hygiene products. The bed was super comfortable. The whole hotel is spotless and very trendy in design. Also our room was QUIET, which is great because I am a light sleeper.
We ate breakfast three times in their hip dining lounge, and there is plenty plenty of very good food.
The staff: fabulous. Pierre emailed prior to our visit to answer all my questions. He also helped me figure out what to do for sight seeing. I am terrible with names but the two young ladies and Noëlyne were very helpful and kind. Also everyone spoke English well and were supportive to help me with my poor French (I just started to learn 3 months ago).
If we return to Paris, there is no doubt we will return to Jules et Jim.

Yelp
5 stars all the way! I stayed here during my short visit to Paris. The rooms are small but comfortable and actually was bigger than I expected! Very very clean! The customer service is impeccable, and the location is perfect. No noise coming in late at night and I was on the 2nd floor (1st floor from the lobby).

Yelp
If I could give 10 stars I'd happily do it.
Hotel Jules & Jim is in a funky little neighborhood, a gem hidden away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. So, the hotel itself is great. A beautiful, funky space with a little garden spot to have your morning coffee and evening champagne! However, if there is one thing about Hotel Jules & Jim that will keep me coming back whenever I have the chance to be in Paris is the staff. Holy cow. The staff is friendly, like genuinely friendly. Happy to see you kind of nice.
Do yourself a favor and splurge on one of the larger rooms. Not just because of the size but because of the art work in the rooms and the AMAZING shower!
I will definitely be coming back. Again and again and again.

Yelp
The hotel is excellent! The staff is very friendly and kind! The hotel doesn't have all the amenities of a big chain but that's a part of its charm. The room was very clean and well decorated. The flowers in our room remained fresh. The only issue we had it the location could be closer to a metro (although it's within a 10/15 min walk from many); also a few Uber's got a little lost trying to find us.

Yelp
I adored this place. The hotel is well-designed; modern but not loud, intimate but not intrusively so. The room was cosy and comfortable...nothing jaw-dropping, mind you, but I liked it (pretty good sound-proof windows too). The shower was lovely, with great water pressure! The service, however was nothing short of amazing...the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and readily available at any hour to meet your needs. The bar is to die for, as is the ambiance at the bar during evening hours. Great variety at breakfast, with comfy seating and great conversation should you choose to engage with the staff :)
The location is ideal, with tons of stuff in walking distance. If boutique hotels are your thing, and you value a communal vibe over pretension, then Jules & Jim is the place for you. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Yelp
We chose to stay here based upon reviews and location. Jules et Jim is not in the center of all the crazy touristy stuff, but all of that is within walking distance. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed, if a little bit cramped for two men of our stature. I would guess that's more our fault than the room's. There is a comfortable courtyard with a welcoming fireplace. The bar is intimate, yet just the place to have a glass of wine after hectically running around the streets of Paris. Thanks to everyone for making our stay wonderful. We will recommend you to everyone.

Yelp
Excellent, funky hotel. Room was very large for Paris, which is typically very short on space. We stayed in room 42, which was in the main building and took up an entire floor! So cool! I loved the open shower, lighting options inside the room (you can dim and adjust the lighting in the walls, too!), and the small balcony facing the patio. The bar closes early, so you never have to worry about late-night noise. The bed was also super comfortable. Great location for quick access to central Paris.
Highly recommended! Would love to stay here again.

Yelp
We are booking another stay at Jules & Jim Hotel in Paris. We had such a marvelous stay there in November 2015, staying 8 days. Great location. Modern. Comfortable. Quiet enough. Great shower. Service. And that darn courtyard! Too bad we'll only have 3 nights this time.

Yelp
Super cute hotel in a great area of Paris, easy to walk to everything.
Rooms were contemporary, and very comfortable (we stayed in the "Jules" room).
Staff was very helpful in suggestions, highly recommended, would stay again.

Yelp
Lovely hotel!Very modern rooms, everything was clean and staff was very friendly. Location is nice, 10 minutes walking to the Louvre.
Perfect for gays, hotel is in the middle of a gay district, nice clubs and bars very nearby.

Yelp
Oh how I loved my stay at Hotel Jules and Jim. It was my first time in Paris and I am so glad I spent the first three days at that sweet hotel. Why?
The location. In the heart of Le Marais but quiet and tucked in. Once the bar closed at 11p it was completely silent the entire rest of the night.
The people. Everyone was kind and helpful and fun. I felt completely understood and cared for.
The design. Simple, modern, beautiful, comfortable.
The breakfast. I loved sitting in the bar in the am eating croissant and drinking cafe after cafe. So lovely and delicious.
If you are heading to Paris and love a modern, boutique hotel, please consider Hotel Jules and Jim. I'm so glad I did.

Yelp
I stayed at Hotel Jules & Jim for 4 nights in August 2013. It was a fantastic hotel. The staff was very friendly and spoke English (bc my French was not good). They showed me to my room, went through the features and showed me how to operate things. I didn't go the bar in the hotel, but it seemed to be quite popular. The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and overall it was very quiet. The location is great to a number of bars, restaurants, attractions and more. When I needed a pharmacist, the young man at the front desk told me exactly where to go. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Yelp
I've stayed many times - what s fantastic hotel. Modern practical and luxe. The staff makes the hotel - they always know your name and go out of the way to make your stay perfect

Yelp
I stayed 4 nights at this FANTASTIC hotel! The hotel is quietly tucked away, but easy enough to get to the metro. Upon my arrival I was escorted to my room - I stayed on the roof for the first night overlooking the city. The staff was AMAZING! Everyone spoke English, and was very attentive. The bar is very nice, rebuilt with reclaimed wood and very comfy heated patio. If you're going to Paris you MUST stay here. located near Place Republic and metro is around the corner. I can't wait to go back to stay there again! Thanks again Hotel Jules et Jim - you've earned my visits!

Yelp
Fabulous boutique hotel in a great area of the city. The owner and his team are incredibly kind, professional and knowledgeable about Paris. Zoe and others at the front desk helped us with dinner reservations, points of interest, and other odds and ends. Very gracious. Regis and his team offer the most amazing cocktails, company and comfortable lounge to unwind at the end of the day. Cannot say enough positive things about Jules et Jim. Also cannot wait to return there. Merci to everyone that made our stay in Paris so awesome!

Yelp
Stayed three nights in mid-August and had a wonderful time. Non-touristy location but within 10-15 minute walk to Centre Pompidou and Seine/Notre Dame. The place is cool, rooms are cool and staff is GREAT, very friendly and helpful. If you want a boring tourist hotel or big luxury rooms or a "family-friendly" place with kiddie entertainment, it's probably isn't the place for you. But if you dig cool design, you'll like HJ&J.
