Juliana Pizza

Juliana's Pizza is very tasty. It is a little thicker of a pizza, with plenty of cheese and just the right amount of sweet and tasty sauce. Prices are fair. Slices are not offered, full pizzas only. Staff was all very friendly and attentive. They open at 11:30am now (Google had it listed at 12:00 when I went).

Paid 30.00 for trash pizza and bland salad with no protein. The old man couldn't figure out the register. The old lady cranky...with her nasty comments about inflation. If you're smart you'll pass on crap pizza, bland salad and garbage customer care. I'll pass on this place.

Wasn’t too crowded, I was seated immediately after being greeted by the sweetest lady that came from the kitchen. After being seated I ordered a sweet tea (if you’re read enough of my reviews, you know how much I love my sweet tea lol) and yep you guess it, it was delish! I originally had the idea of ordering a pizza but decided on a hot sub. I got the superstar. It was pretty good, but can’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had. Overall I will go back because I know there are other items on the menu I love. I love the old school feel of the place. It’s like stepping back in time. Just a simple mom and pop shop with no frills that has managed to keep its doors open all these years even after a pandemic. Definitely need to check them out if you haven’t already.

In my opinion, it's the best pizza in Charlotte, a hidden gem. The restaurant is clean and well kept. I've been going here for a few years with my family. Juliana Pizza is a family restaurant business. The family is very welcoming and kind. We've had family birthday parties here and always enjoy visiting Juliana. I'm basing my review of the prices based upon my family sharing a few specialty pizzas and a few of us getting a soup or salad. It's fair pricing for the quality. If you're looking for a special entree, you will spend between $10 to $20ish and not be disappointed.

We have been eating here for over 30 years. Their wings are our favorites with their signature sauce. Wings are crispy on the outside and very juicy on the inside and the wing prices haven't doubled like most other places in recent years.

Great Pizza Place. Excellent pizza and sandwich. Plenty of seating. Do not miss this gem of an establishment.

We stopped in with a big group on short notice and they took such good care of us. Good food, came out quick, family owned... would definitely go again.

The ambience is very authentic. I went for diner and it feels like I'm in a family Italian deli kinda and the kids play while parents eat and drink some cheap wine. It's affordable prices and pizza was nice. The derive is friendly and fast. It's table service. The reason I give 3 stars is only because I like NY style pizza and this one was to my palate but nothing is wrong with this restaurant. Come check it out for a cute week date or lunch place. I'll be returning to Rey their other menu items for lunch.

Pretty good pizza. Seems like the homemade type. It's not the New York style, good when you're craving pizzas and want something close by. Fries - crinkle cut, not bad

Pizza wasn't good at all. I wanted to try a need pizza spot and was really disappointed.

Service was quiet and quick, food was ready tasty and delicious. Ambience nothing to remake about but clean.

I'm from Staten Island and been having a hard time finding a Pizza and Italian restaurant in Charlotte until I ate at Juliana's. It's definitely better than the rest in the Charlotte area.

Dinner before a movie (it is right across the street). One of us had a personal size white pizza that was out of this world. The crust was mouth watering as it was fresh made and baked perfectly with crispy crust but not wafer thin. The other of us had lasagna which was one of the best we had ever eaten. This restaurant is tru Italian and family owned. Our server was the actual owner. This little out of the way pizza plus restaurant is our top one in all mecklenburg county. We will be back next week. Oh, did I say the bill was less than $30.

I wonder if the owners ever really taste their food. I think they are in denial and don't expect people to come back. That being said the food is not homemade in the least and the prices don't reflect any quality. Somebody needs to tell the truth to the family so they can regroup before it's too late.

My husband and I have been coming here for over 20 years... t's our favorite Italian restaurant! My husband loves their Chicken parmigiana and I love their pizza and salads. Great food and service every time!

This place is solid! If you are from the northeast this will taste like home. Authentic Greek style pizza shop! Pizza is thicker chewy crust, so yummy. The wings are the best I have had in Charlotte! I got mild because I'm a wimp. The flavors were tasty but not buffalo style. I will be back for sure and I will go for the traditional buffalo wings. The people that rang me up were nice and polite and the restaurant appeared very clean. This place is a hidden gem. Think about those pizza places that were in your neighborhood where you grew up. This is that place. Love it!

This is "one of" the best Greek pizzas you will have in Charlotte, I'm sure others are out there but this is a really good one. It is Greek Style pizza do you have to enjoy the slightly thicker crust but it is delicious. The chicken wings are dynamite.. home made ranch and their Greek wing sauce are a must try together. We really enjoy this place, it's like a little hidden neighborhood gem if you've never been, a must try, but again, if you enjoy Greek pizza. *I would ever clear of the Philly cheese steak and Philly chicken though.. those can use help but it is a pizza place after all so just get the pizza. Pepperoni and Ham is the ticket.

I have tried a lots of different pizzas throughout Charlotte and I think there is some of the best. We get the all dressed and never been disappointed.

We have always had great service here and our food is hot and fresh. I've only ever had the Greek wings here and they are truly amazing! They're lemony, herby, and just perfect.

I like this place. The owners are friendly and help out with choices on the menu. The employees are very quick and nice . My go to's are the vegetarian pizza and the Italian sub. You can order out or sit in. The decor is nice. The prices are fair. They also have some delicious desserts.

My father really enjoys this place for lunch, he was a weekly regular before he retired. I've personally only visited a few times and I'm never very impressed with anything. It's a family owned restaurant with an old school diner atmosphere. Lots of older people ordering "their usuals" and enjoying the familiar flavors of whatever it is that they've discovered is delicious here. I found the meatball sub to be lacking in flavor, which seems difficult to do? I pretty much thought I couldn't go wrong with a meatball sub. the table service is slow, it took almost 30 minutes to bring out our two subs even tho it was only 11:30am and there was exactly 3 other patrons dinning in that morning. Perhaps this place was on top of its game once upon a time, but it desperately needs to refresh its menu and more if it wants to earn any new customers

The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich is excellent! So is their Fried Canadian Flounder platter! The service is also excellent - while it is professional it is also homey. Prices & portions are very reasonable.

Nothing but great things to say !!! My Mother's favorite place to eat out.. Always great food and first class service. My family had Mom's birthday gathering there yesterday. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They saw to it that every request was taken care of. Lunch items were superb... We brought a cake and they brought out clean plates and silver. First class restaurant- all the way.....

No one in parking lot is a sign! The food is like the owner/manager... BAD! The restaurant is lucky because it's the only food joint in Sardis area. They've lost the love for food... go to McDonald's

Wow! I wish I had gotten a picture! This was some of the best pizza I have ever had! I loved everything about my visit! I can't wait to come back soon won't a whole bunch of my friends so they can try charlotte's best pizza! No wonder they have been in business since 1971!

Awesome little pizza joint. I've only ever ordered take out, but the place looks like an old school pizza joint. Pizza is fantastic!

Coming from someone who's extremely critical of pizza, this it's truly the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Be sure to specify THIN CRUST WHEN ORDERING. I find the regular crust a little overpowering for me and my boyfriend.

We have been getting take out pizza here for years. My family likes their pizzas. The sauce is tasty, cheese is good, but the crust is just a little thicker and more chewy than you might get at a NY style place, such as Tony's across the street. But we prefer Juliana's. And the people who work here are really nice.

This place was horrible. They don't even deserve a one-star. The pizza was soggy and disgusting. Bad customer service!!

THE FOOD This is one of my favorite restaurants! I've been eating here since 1996. My favorite is an 8" pepperoni with homemade sauce. The mushroom and onion steak sandwich is so good. When I go with someone, we order one of each then split because we can never decide. We also love the salt and pepper wings! They are so crispy. The deserts are homemade. They are all so yummy! THE FAMILY This family is the greatest. They are such nice people and very caring. I stumbled upon this place when moving in the area on a snowy night. They were the only place open. The owner just smiled and invited us in from the cold like family. It's been 20 years. Still so great! I've since moved away and this is always my go to place to meet up with old friends and family. I crave it and look forward to visiting with the Owners. It's always great to time.

Today is Saturday and they were out of the bread needed to make one of their 3 appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were purchased at the nearby food lion then fried. One pizza called the El something eas undercooked and watery The other pizza I got was the vegetarian, that was burnt and watery as well. When we tried to bring it to the attention of the owner she got very defensive and said we do not give away free food. I will not be going back.

I work close by to this place, and happened to be in the Food Lion shopping center when I stumbled upon this place. None of my coworkers had ever mentioned the place to me before, so already I was taking a risk, but I decided to go for it. Pretty typical, old-fashioned, family restaurant atmosphere. No frills. I have no issues with that. The waitress was very nice and attentive too, so no issues there either. Issue #1: I ordered the chicken parm sub with fries. The sandwich itself was mediocre. Grilled chicken with cheese and a trace of brownish-red sauce. Not my ideal chicken parm! It was fine to eat I guess, just not a chicken parm. Issue #2: The menu stated that the sandwich w/ a side is $6.95. When I got my bill (a diner-style check you bring to the front for them to ring up) it said $7.45. No problem, they included tax. When I went to the front, the total was $8.06... ?? Umm, why the double tax? I decided not to say anything, just vow to write about it and not return. The unfortunately reminded me of a pizza place I used to work for that would pull shenanigans like this... and that place is out of business. It's just very short-sighted to overcharge 61¢ and lose a customer. Even if they didn't overcharge me, maybe it was a mistake (laughing in my head), I still wouldn't go back based on the food alone. If not for the nice waitress, would have been 1 star.

Came in for a quick bite. Had a killer authentic chicken parmigiana. Service was also fantastic!! Going to try their pizza next.

The worst pizza I have ever had. We have tried it 2 times in about a year. Both were total YUCK!!!

I'm not sure how people have posted bad comments about this place because it was SO good. I got the steak hoagie (sub) with grilled onions and crinkle cut fries as my side. I asked for my fries extra crispy with a side of bleu cheese and my order came out perfect. The bleu cheese was even good - not super thick and overpowering. I also liked that the onions in the steak hoagie were chopped up very small. The owner was there and was very friendly, as well as the rest of the staff. I can't wait to go back and try the spaghetti. Their noodles are shipped from Italy. I would recommed thia place to anyone! Very good job - keep up the good work!

If I could give this place a zero I would. First time here, and will be the last. My friend has tried it previously and said it was good, they were wrong. First off walking into this place it looks like it's from the 1980's. Secondly of all, nothing I ordered had any taste whatsoever!!!!!! The pasta sauce tasted like it was out of a chef boardee can, the pizza was like moist wet cardboard with again, no flavor, and an Italian joint with no homemade salad "house dressing" for salad (Italian or similar) it's all bottled. Cheese sticks were gross, the cheese bread was literally toast, with cheese, no flavor. Will not be back. Prices were insane, I got a pizza, salad and a beverage and cheese bread for 37 dollars. Never again!

I have been coming here since I was a child and I have loved every meal I've ever had! The service is always great! I know the owner personally and she always makes sure our experience is a great one! The cheese steak is my favorite! Also the Tuna subs are great and my son loves the meatballs! Their Pizza is some of the best in Charlotte! Get pineapples on it! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with any taste!

This is a hidden gem! You must try their old-world style spaghetti and meatballs. The most wonderful spice (hints of cinnamon) compliments the most delicious and tender meatballs (and they're fantastically large). They also have delicious hot wings! Not much variety (just "hot" which are really a medium-mild), but they are flash fried and shaken in sauce. Not breaded. Great taste, perfect heat for anyone to enjoy (including children), and good value. The pizza is also wonderful! Get the "dressed" pizza for great flavor with several kinds of meat, peppers, olives and onions. INEXPENSIVE, friendly and attentive staff, and not crowded (yet). A must try for this area!!

I was having lunch at this location during the holidays and I saw they were delivering dozens of large pizza pies. I figured people must like them. Last week I brought a couple of large pies to feed the men working at my house. Not only the guys loved it, but two of them asked permission to take the leftovers home! I've fed employees countless times over the years and this never happened to me before. As I mentioned it doesn't look or taste quite like a traditional pizza. The dough is some sort of deep dish, but nicely crispy. I think they use a fair amount of yest to make it rise and stay light. It's not Chi- style nor any of the pizza hut concoctions. also the tomato sauce is used sparingly which I like. I asked the owner about it, he told me he's been making pizza for 30 years and everything was prepared in house, including the dough, sauces etc. My favorite still is the individual pie with mushrooms, well cooked onions ( I can't stand undercooked onions) a mild sausage more knockwurst than Italian and my twist: a fried egg on top, sunny side up. No it's not pizza, a Tuscan style pie maybe. BTW the lunches are cheap, $6.95 for lasagna, ravioli etc. More to Charlotte's taste than to mine , but good in spite of being mild.

Oh my lord it's so good. The cheese is fresh because the owner refuses to buy "fake" cheese. Anyway, I get a beef pizza and Greek wings and mannnnnnn it doesn't get better. The beef isn't that chunky disgusting stuff like at Pizza Hut. It's the quality beef and when cooked with her cheese on the pizza, the flavor is just superb. The Greek wings are fantastic and tangy. They aren't sweet and she's so generous with the ingredients and sauce so the flavor is AMAZING. Also, I'm a ranch fiend. Hers is homemade and is better than even Texas Roadhouse (also good).

Wow, this place has good pizza! Hidden at the end of a strip plaza it doesn't look like anything special from the outside and it's easy to miss - once inside the food is good and the service is even better. Ordered the large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms (they are fresh, not from a can) and it was excellent, one of the best pizza's I've had in Charlotte. Our server was very good, always filled our drinks before they went dry, came back often to see if we needed anything and was fast with the bill when we were finished. Don't let the outside appearance stop you from giving this place a try. I know I'll be back!

Great food! Love their pizza. The service is fantastic and friendly. The decor however is dated. The carpet has seen better days. BUT, I go for the food and great service. It is a gem tucked away is South Charlotte/Matthews area.

Okay first off, the address is 9858 Monroe Rd. Now, that we all can meet up at the right place....let's dig in: I've eaten twice here now (shame on me for not reviewing sooner) and what I like most is the atmosphere. They're not too busy, but they can accommodate any size group. It's a family-run restaurant, and the owners are usually there working hard!! I love the food...Italian/Greek Cuisine with some American on the side. The desserts, THE DESSERTS!!! Oh man! The chef usually has a special dessert of the day and then you have your typical Italian tiramisu, cannoli, and carrot cake. The last time I was there they had this Chocolate Decadence cake and it was insanely rich and moist!! I say give them a try because you can bring your friends, family, etc and have a great meal at a reasonable price.

This is probably the best local pizza restaurant you will find in Charlotte. We consistently come to Juliana's whenever we are feeling like pizza for dinner and we always take our out of town guests to this restaurant. Their pizza sauce gives a lot of flavor to your average slice of pizza, and it is phenomenal. And their desserts are spectacular too. Our favorite desserts are their black forest cake, key lime pie, and cannolis. It is always a fun surprise to see what desserts they have on their daily menu, which changes everyday. They are not too expensive and are to die for, perfect to end a meal. The ambience, food, and attention by the waiters to this restaurant all intertwine perfectly to make this one of the best restaurants in Charlotte and Matthews area

Not the place for you if you're looking for thin, crispy pizza by the slice. Ordered by the slice from a rotating warmer with only cheese or pepperoni as options-pizza was fluffy and luke warm.

This is a fine place for lunch or dinner. Good food, great service, relaxed, laid back atmosphere. They've been around for years and years, and the consistency is evident. I really like their pizza and their Greek salads. The Greek Chicken Salad is my favorite here. Friends have been happy with their burgers. My kids devour the pizza. 3.5 stars would be about right. I'll give them the half star for trying hard to please.

Juliana's is not the most glamorous place in the area, but they've got good food. I met some friends here last Monday night for a late dinner, and it wasn't crowded. The staff was accommodating even though I arrived about 15 minutes before they closed the place down. I'm a fan of their Veggie sandwich. It's awfully cheesy and melty. Other folks with me had pasta dishes, which looked (and smelled) divine. The best thing about Juliana's is that the price is right. Most menu items were cheaper than $10. So if you're near the Sardis Crossing shopping center and feeling like getting something to eat that's not from a soul-less chain store, as they abound in this area, check out Juliana's.

We eat here at least once a week. Their pizza is delicious! I also love their baked spaghetti. The people are super nice and greet us like old friends.

Just moved in the area and discovered on of the best pizzas in Charlotte. Great service and the food is always consistent. I also recommend trying the Fragolaki (sp) seasoned grilled steak in a hoagie with feta cheese.
