Google
Great place to hang out. Good food and music. Exceeded our expectations! It was super busy while we were there but the staff kept it together! That being said customer service was excellent ! We took our 2 year old and she also enjoyed the food! We had the pomegranate mimosa, fried chicken and waffles, Corn-Jalapeno- Cilantro Fritters and Special Chimichanga.

Google
I have been living here my entire life and I for some reason just discovered this place. It is by far the best burger I've ever had in my life, and I've had a lot of burgers. Not only is the food delicious, the service is superb, and the atmosphere is so bizarre and fantastic. The homemade pickles are to die for, and the smoked battered onion rings was something I've never had before or have ever thought pf. I will be back a million times. Highly recommend you stop in.

Google
Julian's is a never miss. Always good, every time I come back home I have to visit and eat breakfast, them hashes are fire. If you haven't tried a hash plate, you're missing out.

Google
Their Bloody Mary is one of the best ones I have ever tasted! Also tried the French toast brioche with blueberries and it was delicious! Their portion sizes are quite large, so even one dish is big enough to share with someone! The ambiance of the place is of the rusty, dive bar type but it works for them! The staff was also very fast and friendly! Will come back in the future to try more of their drinks!

Google
Extraordinary place to have breakfast, brunch or a drink! Drinks are strong and coffee and the food is super delicious, there’s typically a wait time but is definitively worth the wait!

Gari Garrity

Google
Fantastic service, we enjoyed coffees on sidewalk bench while waiting for our table. Great menu, eggs Benedict a highlight.

Google
Love this place. The food portion are HUGE. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Usually a wait but we didn't have to wait long, maybe 5-10 minutes

Google
I have been enjoying this restaurant for many years. BEST breakfast/ brunch in Providence! Any thing breakfast will be phenomenal. The staff are great, drinks are good, Brian and his crew are on the ball. Food comes out fast and delicious. These guys got brunch down pat!

Yelp
Yummy surprise. We needed to find someplace nearby with vegan food. We scored. Also, one of the best bathrooms around! (See photo.)

Yelp
Pretty decent brunch place that I frequent with my friends! Ambience is dark, moody, hip, almost like a dive bar but for brunch (I suppose they are open at other times too but I've only been for brunch!). I've tried a number of things on the menu and there's just one that I always gravitate towards and it's the shakshuka. Their shakshuka is very flavorful and filled with lots of veggies. The garlic bread to pair is also great, occasionally more on the burnt side. One thing that I'm not as big of a fan of are the potatoes, which is surprising because I usually really love potatoes! Their breakfast potatoes come in a hash which is not as flavorful as you'd expect and also loses out on texture. Some of the items on their menu can also be a bit over priced, so make sure to take a look when ordering. For example, you have to pay double if you want two eggs benedicts, where the norm at other brunch establishments is once price for two eggs benedicts - so just be mindful! I would come back to eat if my friends are interested because there's a reliably good item I can go to, but not sure I would choose to go here myself

Yelp
There's always money in the banana stand! I had this Baileys infused iced coffee and it was delicious! And if it didn't make everything OK, the bathroom with the videos playing and pez dispenser collector wall sure did! Oh, the food was cool too. I had a nice blueberry and banana compote French toast and the special hash (hash brown with sausage and peppers) and eggs dish. It all tasted good and was a huge portion that got me stuffed quickly. I also appreciated the wide array of music they played. If you stay long enough you will eventually here a music genre of your liking. This was a nice laid back place worth many repeat visits.

Yelp
Consistently awesome! Never had a bad meal--honestly one of the best brunch places in New England! So we've been here a hundred times and, for whatever reason, I never finish my review for Julian's. Maybe I take it for granted? Not sure but here it is... Food is awesome--to be fair, we've only been for their brunch but it is spectacular. Wide arrange of options from their rotating Bennie's and unique hash options plus your typical waffle and pancake offerings. Great breakfast bevvies--a wide assortment of mimosa flavors (get a carafe!), coffee drinks and their famous Bloody Mary (it's a bit spicey--you've been warned! ) Super eclectic and fun atmosphere. Great art murals which change frequently keep things fun and interesting! Staff is always top notch--very attentive and knowledgeable. A must stop if you're driving through the Providence vicinity!

Yelp
Great brunch spot! Definitely worth the long wait time. Portions are huge and food comes out surprisingly quick for how busy they usually are. The servers are great and super fun and friendly. All the staff is wonderful. I love how retro the place such a cool vibe inside. Def check out !

Michael L.

Yelp
Great outdoor place to hang out. Great service with a smile. Great food and the drink are awesome. Food came out hot n fast. Prices are average. Bartender was awesome! Heidi!

Jacklyn K.

Yelp
Soooo much yes for brunch at Julian's! Cool neighborhood and even cooler restaurant. We sat outside but loved the inside vibe for a cooler weather day. The menu was so overwhelming in the best way but I went with the mushroom and boursin hash (delicious!) and my partner with the chicken and waffles (even more insane!). We also shared a banana pancake. Portions were hugeee. The chicken and waffles especially was really unique and every bite had a new flavor sensation. The hash was a slice of heaven. I dream of coming back and trying more of the menu at Julian's!

Yelp
Honestly gotta be one of my favorite places for vegan breakfast and brunch in RI. They're high up there! Haven't tried the vegan burger or other lunch/dinner options because I'm truly obsessed with their breakfast items. Service is always friendly, well worth any wait that could come up. Beverages are my favorite, and a go-to. I also really enjoy "There's always money in my banana stand" or whatever it's called hilarious I always get the same thing (Vegan St. Jamez, their take on a Benedict) but their French toast, hash, fruit salads, homefries, & vegan scramble are BOMB too! Keep up the great work friends

James M.

Yelp
Stop #4 on RI Food Fights 11th Annual Big Burger Blowout! Everything here is fresh and prepared to order right down to the battered onion rings, cut in house...I opted for the Candyland Car Crash Burger...DELICIOUS!!! Server Vivian was spectacular!

K C.

Yelp
It's hard to find good vegan breakfast spots but this place will be going on the list! So many vegan options, including a thick stack of French toast, tempeh sausage, vegan hash, etc. For each section of the menu they have a vegan option. The place itself has a great vibe, great music, and outdoor seating. Staff were welcoming and friendly :) We'll be back!

Yelp
Always a solid choice! Brunch served all afternoon, which I love. Today we opted for the fried chicken sando and it was absolutely delicious. Plenty of pickled onion which I loved, and the chicken was crunchy and tender. The perfect texture. Added the fries, because of course you should. Started my late lunch off with the pool of rain cocktail which was also super tasty. Service was wonderful, super friendly and attentive. This spot has a super cool interior, but today we opted for of their outdoor tables which quite frankly the perfect spot to soak up some extra sunshine! If you've only been for Sunday brunch, you're missing out. Give it a go for lunch fare, and be sure to stop by for the dinner menu too! It's all food, all the time.

Yelp
2nd time here: and they did not disappoint! I got the tha Jedi mind trick (yes I got for the name !) baby spinach, criminal mushrooms, grilled red onions and Swiss omelet w/ home fries and toast, w/ side of bacon. It was out of this galaxy. You must visit I recommend a weekday or you will wait! Vibe is so me! Death Star table..

Ludovica F.

Yelp
Their Bloody Mary is one of the best ones I have ever tasted! Also tried the French toast brioche with blueberries and it was delicious! Their portion sizes are quite large, so even one dish is big enough to share with someone! The ambiance of the place is of the rusty, dive bar type but it works for them! Yelp
Spot #2 in RI is on spot so far. As with Slow Rhode, it's southern flair and has more of a bar vibe. It's all about the food to me and this place does not disappoint. Such an eclectic charm about his place. Sort of a Harry Potter feel. The shakshuka is amazing. Never something like this existed. Every dish was so good and it felt like mom made it. Came here for breakfast so couldn't enjoy any alcoholic bev, not even a Bloody Mary. I could see this place really popping at night. Definitely come here for breakfast.

Tanner R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my first time at Julian's. I didn't have any expectations so I went and sat at the bar during a week night around 5:30pm. There was only one server so it took a few minutes to get started with a drink but after that she took care of my orders and was friendly and attentive. I wanted a burger and they had a special that caught my eye - beef patty with bacon, gruyere cheese, panko crusted onions, arugula and garlic mayo. This was so delicious! Since I love my pickles I got the fried pickles on the side and they were really good too. The server even talked me into a fruit beer that was very refreshing for the hot summer day. I hope to be back soon!

Jojo S.

Yelp
Food so good we had to go back the next day. We went a Sunday for brunch. There was a wait but totally worth it! You can also warn southwest points dining here. It is a smaller establishment meaning that the tables are very close to one another but I didn't mind it. Restaurant is loud when packed but again didn't mind

Ken D.

Yelp
We had a weekend in Providence and what a great place. The food was fantastic (so much to choose from). Our server was great, so attentive. The eclectic ambiance was such a great way to spend brun

Querby J.

Yelp
Scrambled Egg Pizza was good. Got it with the bacon and avocado. Would recommend doing both although could've used more bacon. Home fries were very good and complimented well w/ the ketchup they make in house. French toast was decent. Good service despite it being New Year's Eve. Cool indoor decors, very much giving alternative vibes

Leah S.

Yelp
What a fun place to enjoy brunch. Get there early to avoid a long wait because it's popular. Inside you'll find a small, busy eatery with super friendly staff and great food, the portions are large! You have to visit their bathroom, equipped with a retro tv that was playing some obscure movie, a wall of retro action figures and so much to look at. Can't wait to go back, I promise I'll update with food pics!

Parita A.

Yelp
Every single time I come to Julian's, it's such a yummy meal. I ordered the Jedi Mind Trick but with tofu and wow it was simple yet so delicious. The home fries were crispy and flavorful and the tofu scramble was delicious also. The service was fast and our server was helpful and attentive. It was busy for a Friday afternoon but not full by any means. Will definitely be back soon for another yummy meal!

Sarah F.

Yelp
SUCH GOOD FOOD! The pancakes and bacon were some of the best I've had. The vibes are like an elevated diner and the service was great. We had a cute little table in the corner by the window and it was lovely. Definitely stop by for an affordable delicious bite!

Mandy C.

Yelp
The service was excellent! We went for breakfast yesterday morning and I won't be back for breakfast but hoping to go back for lunch or dinner. I was not a fan of the gluten-free toast, the home fries, pancake or scrambled eggs. The gluten-free toast was really hard and flavorless, the home fries were a little too mushy and spicy for me, the scrambled eggs had some sort of spice in them that I was not a fan of the pancake tasted like baking powder. My husband really liked salmon eggs Benedict.

Denine C.

Yelp
Great food and service! Had breakfast-bacon scallion pancakes with eggs-they were amazing! Servings are large! Service was amazing!

Madeleine B.

Yelp
4.5 stars Vibe: very cool Service: very good Food: both of our dishes were specials so may not be the most accurate representation of their food but the bowl special was delicious and the french toast was kinda standard. Coffee was ok, mocha was delicious, bloody mary was just good. Value: $$$ Other: no reservations but they did serve drinks outside while we waited which was a big plus Street parking available Very busy (1hr wait) at 11 on a Saturday Overall was good, considering how good the bowl was I think I would recommend and would consider going again if in the area. Downsides were long wait and expensive.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Went for breakfast. My husband and I both had an "adult beverage" he had a spiked coffee and I had the famous Julian's bloody. very good! and the food was absolutely delicious.

Cindy E.

Yelp
Went here for brunch and everyone loved what they had. We sat outside because it was pretty crowded, but we didn't wait long. The bathroom is hilarious and very cool.

Nikki J.

Yelp
Came here for brunch with a group of 6. The wait was really long, but they only have a few tables for big groups. Once we were seated, service was good. I ordered the Breakfast of champions to drink. It was really yummy, I did end up adding a splash of milk to it for my own preference. But it was good either way! To eat, I got the special French toast, and added a side of eggs & chicken breast. I didn't expect the chicken to be so much! But it was all delicious. I had leftovers for the next day.

Jack L.

Yelp
Hopped off a plane and came to Julian's to get a late lunch on a Monday. It was fairly nice outside, although a little warm, so I chose exterior seating. The tables are right on the sidewalk so not much privacy to be had. Virtual menu only, which I hate, so I had to look everything up. Settled on the toreador omelet, which had black beans, tomato, and avocado. It was serviceable enough. My big complaint was with the beer I ordered. They advertised it as a full 16 Oz pint pour but it was nowhere close. It was 12oz at the most. I absolutely hate deceptive advertising and pricing. Why lie about the serving size? The food was decent and service good, but I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a decent beer at a decent price. No way in hell that was 16oz!!!

Alison K.

Yelp
amazing service - phenomenal coffee. the wait was not long and and they offer you coffee or any other drinks while you wait. was a great experience! highly recommend.

Robert S.

Yelp
I have been to Julians many times. When I was dating my now husband, Julians was just a block away from his place on the West End. It's very well known for its brunch and breakfast items, so many of the menu items include eggs Benedict, eggs any way you want them, waffles, omelettes, pancakes, hash and such..... I am not a big breakfast person, but I do know some people that are...so this would be your place for breakfast and brunch. I find their kitchen prepares the food very oily for my taste, so just beware of that. There's some outside seating during fair and warm weather.

Doug C.

Yelp
Excellent brunch spot recommended by our friends. Full bar, kinda grungy bar scene but excellent service and the food - amazing. Went with the eggs benedict special - chipotle hollandaise sauce with medium rare steak, half order, delicious. I don't tend to opt for eggs benedict for some reason, I should more because when it's done well it's so tasty. The homies (home fries - I had to ask what they were lol) were tasty, well spiced, cooked well. I hate when these types of fries are crispy on the outside but undercooked on the inside. Tasty bloody mary, much reprieve from a crappy ATL lounge bloody. Wife loved her omelette with boursin cheese and smoked salmon and capers - I finished it off for her because it was so good I couldn't let it go to waste. Busy, as it should be, definitely a spot to add to your brunch rotation! Only downside is the bathroom - freezing cold! It is cute with old school toys decorating the walls and a random tv with old school cartoons playing but if you're spending more than 2 minutes, bring your winter coat and gloves.

Renee B.

Yelp
Stay Golden with Janet Van Dyne and beer flight First time didn't disappoint and check out the bathroom for a special collection or PEZ and Star-wars figurines

Matthew L.

Yelp
Discovered this place on a fathers day brunch hunt and glad we did, it sits Broadway adjacent to Atwells ave on Federal Hill in Providence and this area has changed quite a bit. Parking is a little tricky but there is plenty of street parking. I would recommend you get here for the 9am opening if going on a Sunday, this place had a line crowded out front when we got there at 8:30am. The inside of this place is pretty cool, not sure what it used to be, looks like maybe an old soda fountain or diner but cool stuff inside, exposed brick wall and even seats at the bar to eat and outside seating. The menu here is a collection of breakfast and lunch items, omelets, eggs, hash and all sorts of other treats like french toast and pancakes. The staff here is cool, friendly and tries to keep up. Service started a bit slow for us but picked up eventually, not sure if the kitchen was short handed or just operates slow but food took a while to emerge. The breakfast here is decent, homefries have a serious kick, not sure if there is red pepper loaded inside but they were spicy and pretty tasty. The Omelet I ordered was great, loaded with Italian sausage and peppers, really good, side of toast and coffee cake, which was great to start. They have all sorts of specials here and a full bar which is nice. Prices were average, bit higher but for the amount of food you get, worth it. I'd recommend this place for a tasty different type of breakfast.

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Service is great here. The food is bombbb. The dishes are unlike any other places. The Oakley bowl was very unique since it came with kimchi, but gave it was a nice to cleanse your palette almost while eating the hash browns and eggs. The smoked bacon was good too. My boyfriend got to bowl with the BBQ ribes, which I liked better than my own bacon, so we did a nice swap. The place was a nice vibe especially with cumbia music playing in the background.

Laurie I.

Yelp
We had BLT's and they were good.My daughter had the eggs Benedict. It cost us about 26.00 a head.the place is super busy and there is always a line outside.I did order the onion rings but would skip them next time as they were super greasy. The place could us more space

Ryan B.

Yelp
This is a good spot for breakfast and brunch. They have a full bar which is nice if you're looking for a bloody marry. They also have a killer chicken sandwich.

Jimmy S.

Yelp
I visited Julians for the 2024 Big Burger Blowout through RI Food Fights. The burger was great, and our server, Chelsea, was the absolute best. We picked a good time to go when it wasn't too busy, so we were able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere through our whole meal.

Bianca S.

Yelp
I love that when I order eggs, they come out how I ordered them. It's rare these days. We try to always sit in a different spot. It's always a comfortable and happy atmosphere. Regardless of where you are sitting. The bathroom is hilarious. I literally grew up watching these cartoons. The mushroom hash was outstanding. I was a very full, very happy customer. Thanks everyone!

Finn K.

Yelp
This gluten free waffle tasted like battery acid And the potatoes tasted like Mexican food Not great overall

Colleen M.

Yelp
My sister, her boyfriend and I went to Julian's for a rainy Sunday brunch. I can't overstate what a great experience it was, since then every time I've been in town we try and work in a visit. The vibe was excellent, super cool and hip (see tv in bathroom pic lol) but cozy too. No commercial chain restaurant vibes at all. The food was fantastic. I ordered a BLT with avocado. They forgot the avocado but the BLT was the best I've ever had so it was easy to look past (and they refunded the upcharge with no fuss.) My sister and her boyfriend loved their food as well. We got a pitcher or two of mimosas and lingered got a bit - despite being pretty busy we weren't rushed out by our server at all.

Jenn K.

Yelp
First time here while visiting Brown. My rating is 3.5 stars I ordered the tofu scramble and substituted my potato so for the hash. Hash flavor was good. The tofu was bland and needed a touch of salt or seasoning. I personally do not like much salt but the tofu has zero. The tofu scramble was bland but ok- needed additional spice or onions. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits. A little different from the south but still tasty. Shrimp was not as good. I also ordered 1 pancake. I like to order pancakes at every breakfast place. Unfortunately the pancake was not very good. Much better at other restaurants. On the plus side- service is excellent. The table next to us ordered the Benedict which looked much better than our dishes. I would try this place again to try the Benedict's

Shanna W.

Yelp
Great food. Love this place go multiple times a month. Food is always fresh along with tasting amazing.

JJ A.

Yelp
Food is amazing Staff is great Ambience is providence at it's finest Only wish it was twice as big at brunch time Now about those damn flies...

Lauren Z.

Yelp
Julian's is a staple of federal hill. You can expect very long lines, but pretty decent food. There are pancakes and French toast aren't necessarily my favorites, but come with real maple syrup, which is very nice. Their portions are pretty big, so I always just get one or two pancakes, with a side of bacon. They have a delicious, hot chocolate, though, with their steamer, they can't get it very hot. That was a little hard, if eating outside, but totally doable. We were looking for hot drinks. Will eat at Julian's again, but probably wouldn't get the scrambled eggs.

K D.

Yelp
Amazing service, amazing food, always a good start to the day. We come to Julians every year as a stop on our way to a 20-year standing family vacation, and its quickly become a necessity to starting the trip. The staff is amazing, topped only by the food. We are never disappointed!

Natalie F.

Yelp
Love the food and great service. And love the vibe . One of my favorite brunch spots!

Charlene F.

Yelp
The chicken was very crispy & flavorful! A little dry but with the sauce it was next level! The fries were also super crispy and full of flavor as well. Fresh food with flavor! Definitely recommend! The chairs outside are wrought iron and no pads on them so if you plan to sit there, bring something to sit on the chair under you or you'll be hurtin lol Service was excellent as well! Might take a bit to get seated cause this place gets packed, but totally worth it!

Doug P.

Yelp
The people and food at Julian's are awesome. I've been twice now, and we had a wonderful experience both times. Highly recommend!!

Kem P.

Yelp
Calling all brunch lovers in Rhode Island!! This is a legit spot for a great brunch gathering!! I arrived at Julians on a Sunday morning 10 minutes after they opened and it was busy at heck! Luckily I was able to grab a seat at the bar to see all of the cooking action behind the scene! I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. To my surprise, the portion size was GINORMOUS!! I mean, size does matter (LOL)!! The chicken was so moist in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The waffles say less! The combination of warm syrup dripping on the waffles and chicken is a one, two combo flavor explosion!! My kind of brunch with a cappuccino to pair it with this dish! On street parking is available but I highly suggest getting their early as it got super busy after I left the restaurant.
