Julia´s Guesthouse

Julia's home was the perfect retreat at the end of each day during my time exploring Iceland. I especially enjoyed the serenity and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape from every window. Julia's warmth and friendliness made me feel like I was leaving family after just a few days. A bonus was that I was fortunate to see the northern lights (late March) without having to leave the property (the first night, I even enjoyed them from the bedroom window) - perfect location for the lights and exploring the southern coast!

Our stay at Julia's guest house was absolutely magical. We visited in May and it had snowed again, transforming the entire landscape into a winter wonderland (just look at the photos!) There is a peace and quiet there that is just special. Julia is also absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly kind and made us the best breakfast. It was also wonderful to meet someone from the same little village as us back home :) I can only recommend this bed and breakfast; there is a reason why it has an average of 4.9 stars!

As a group of three traveling around Ring Road, the loft at Julia's Guesthouse was perfect for us. We were overjoyed by the animals and the tasty homemade community breakfast. Julia is such warm and hospitable host and we so loved staying here. If you are in the vicinity of Julia's Guesthouse, you should absolutely stay here.

Julia and her partner Mike are very welcoming and open-minded hosts. The guesthouse is clean, well-equipped (loved the hair dryer and the shower) and you feel right at home. Breakfast is awesome with homemade bread and great coffee! You can cuddle a lot of animals and many attractions in South Iceland are close by. Definitely a great recommendation!

A Heartwarming Stay with an Exceptional Host! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful accommodation, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the host's warmth and kindness made me feel right at home. One of the standout moments of my stay was the breakfast. Not only was it delicious, but the host went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs by baking lactose-free bread just for me. I was truly stunned by her thoughtfulness and dedication to ensuring a delightful experience. In a world where hospitality can sometimes feel impersonal, this host's genuine care and attention to detail made my stay truly exceptional. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone seeking a memorable and heartwarming stay.

Julia was a lovely owner. Enjoyed the dinner we had booked with her and 4 other guests. Breakfast was yummy: dark bread, smoked salmon, 4 cheeses, many jellies, cereal. She also offered eggs. However, the best part for me was the chocolate almond coffee. Best coffee I had my entire time in Iceland. ||Only thing that would have made the visit better would be a private bath although it was not a problem since she had a full bath, then a shower room, as well as a room with a toilet for the guests.

Julia is a wonderful host. The guesthouse is inviting, clean, warm and charming. The food is fantastic! It was the best way to start our adventure in Iceland! She recommended a place to see that we hadn't thought of and it was wonderful. Such a lovely host and property! The horses were a bonus!

We were so happy at Julia's right away because of all the animals! We let one of the cats into our room and played with him for a long time. there was a chicken in the kitchen when we arrived! It was a close drive after doing the Golden Circle and we were greeted warmly by Julia. no, it's not a Hilton, lol but we wanted local flavor and that's what we got. The homemade bread was awesome and the price was decent. We would stay here again.
