TLDR: Do not stay at the Julietta House I stayed at the Julietta House for two months this summer. Susan is a very difficult person. I would not recommend staying at this house, she is very disrespectful to her tenants especially when they are 20-30s aged. She has entered rooms without asking, she set up baby monitors that record audio and visual in public spaces, calls/texts frequently with passive aggressive messages for example she called me on my way back from work to say that my (115lbs) footsteps were too loud on the baby monitors, she eliminated use of the kitchen for everyone in the house halfway through my stay, she refused to return my security deposit, she drinks/eats people's food/beverages, and many other things. Meanwhile many of the rooms were not up to standard, I was on the second floor and when people in the third floor would shower it would rain down in my bathroom from the light. Other rooms suffered water damage/were leaking. Please do not stay in this house!

The Julietta House was a wonderful place to stay. The house is beautiful and very clean. We had access to snacks, coffee, and tea any time, plus breakfast food. It was comfortable and offered full use of the house including a living room and screened in porch. We often visit Gloucester and Rockport. We have stayed at the Julietta House on two separate occasions. The owner, Susan is lovely.

Comfortable, charming, good location Visiting Gloucester for a wedding in mid September, we had a wonderful stay at Julietta House. The house is a fine example of a well preserved and tastefully updated mid 1800's building. The owner was there when we arrived, made us feel welcome, and provided a vast amount of area site seeing information. The house is located in a busy, but quiet area, and only a five minute walk to the Main Street restaurant and shopping area, and just one more block to the heart of the harbor. Gloucester is a great place to visit, and the Julietta House is a great choice for a place to stay. If visiting Gloucester again, we will return.

Julietta House is a great place to stay near the best of downtown Gloucester. This historic home is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable and clean rooms. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast items and coffee set up in a self serve style with access to living and dining rooms. All of your needs are met with respect to privacy - love this. Thank you and look forward to my next stay!

As soon as we walked through the door you are greeted and treated like family, Susan is a wonderful, caring host, determined to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Walking distance to the harbor front with lots of really good restaurants and bars and if you are lucky you may bump into some ‘Wicked Tuna’. Rooms are spacious, very clean, nice bathroom with furnishings in the style of the original architecture . Highly recommend staying here

Sadly only a two night stay as we had scheduled a whale watching trip on the last full day of our New England trip prior to heading back to the UK. Gloucester was the place and Julietta House was the bed. Charming and friendly owners who were more than happy to share the history of their home and generally enjoy a blether. Traditional house well maintained with generous public rooms and breakfast facilities. The bedroom was comfortable and well appointed with a decent en-suite. No problems at all with this place, highly recommended if you are looking for a stay in Gloucester. It was just the sort of place we required to relax before journeying home.

I came to the Julietta House in the winter of 2017. I just returned from a 2 year stay in California and needed a place to rest and this was the perfect space. It is super clean, quaint, quiet and in a fabulous location. (Gloucester has a lively nightlife and there are many restaurants to dine out in.) Susan, the owner, offers short term stays for guests traveling, and longer term rentals for people in transition. She is highly sensitive to people's needs, and does her best to make you feel safe, and at home. I lived in the Juliette House for several months, and I can honestly say this house is immaculate, and it offers peace and quiet, not to mention a space to renew, refresh, and relax. I would not hesitate to recommend the Julietta House for your stay here in this wonderful New England city.

Beautiful property in a perfect location. We were able to park the car for free, and then walk to the train station and all around Gloucester. The hosts are wonderful- friendly, thoughtful, and responsive without being overbearing. Very comfortable accommodations and breakfast items, snacks, water, coffee, and tea available all hours. Cannot thank Susan enough for the dinner recommendations as well! Will definitely return if we are in the area!

Yelp
Very beautiful guesthouse with the real New England spirit. Every room is different and friendly decorated. We always felt like being home. The owner is always attentive and very friendly. If you are looking for a quiet place to start your exploration around Gloucester but still want to have the Main Street with its restaurants in walking distance, this is the right place.

Yelp
My wife runs it, so I know it is great. Organized, clean, historic, awesome. Downtown, walking distance from the train, the restaurants, the harbor.

Yelp
We had a two day break in Gloucester and stayed at the Juliette House. Everything about it is perfection and Susan, the owner, is a sweetheart. What a gem!
