Had a great lunch today at Julwin’s Restaurant in downtown Fairhope, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. Julwin’s is Baldwin County’s oldest restaurant, and it’s easy to see why it has stood the test of time.
The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and well kept, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and offered great recommendations. I went with the Reuben sandwich, which he said was one of his top favorites—and he was spot on. The sandwich was delicious, perfectly prepared, and paired really well with the mustard potato salad, which was outstanding.
My friends ordered the shrimp wrap and the pot roast. The shrimp wrap was solid, and the pot roast looked incredible and came with two generous sides. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked fresh and well made.
One thing I really appreciate is that they serve breakfast and lunch all day, which is a big plus if you’re craving something other than traditional breakfast in the morning.
Julwin’s is a classic Fairhope spot with great food, great service, and a comfortable, no-frills atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re downtown—I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Fairhope.
