"Plunge pools are standard at this all-pool villas resort, which sits on Bali’s southernmost tip. It’s a short walk or buggy ride down to the beach itself, but when your villa comes with its own infinity-edge plunge pool overlooking the Indian Ocean, why bother leaving your room at all?"

"Once a desolate, sparsely populated rock, the Bukit, Bali’s southern peninsula, is now chockablock with luxury resorts; the new kid on the cliff, the 73 villa Banyan Tree Ungasan, delivers supreme comfort at a competitive rate. The glory here is the Villa: At 2,500 square feet, it’s among the largest standard rooms in the region and is tantalizingly livable, with completely separate living and sleeping chambers, a guest toilet, a vast marble bathroom (with a little TV for the tub), and many smart details. The private pool is big enough to swim in, with a jet pool adjoining the day pavilion, itself spacious enough for alfresco private dining. The resort’s design is attractive and comfortable, if a bit over-logoed with the brand’s leaf motif. Service is prompt and friendly, with a high level of English skills by all staff. The creative contemporary international cuisine at the signature restaurant, Ju-Ma-Na, is excellent, and the bar, a gleaming monument of inner-lit alabaster perched on a breezy terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean, is one of the most romantic spots in Bali."

Me and my partner stayed in the one bedroom panoramic villa and it was absolutely stunning. The villa was extremely well kept and clean, the service was amazing and the view was spectacular. We had a seafood barbecue dinner in the villa and the ingredients were so fresh, the food was great and the chef and our waiter Mr. Gede were very hospitable. I can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our dinner date at Jumana immensely. The selection of food comes from multiple regions in Asia and everything we ordered from the Thai pineapple chicken to the Vietnamese spring rolls to the exquisite banana fritters for dessert were perfect. The cocktails were delicious as well. Most importantly the staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Special thanks to Rian our server that took excellent care of us. He was so wonderful and kind and we hope to visit again just to have this wonderful experience once more.

Very impressive Villa’s & styling, wonderful staff, superb location & ocean view. There is still work in progress with quite a few villa’s but the staff are very accommodating with any noise, so wouldn’t let that put you off. Only 1 restaurant open but great food. When the others open, will be great. Balinese are such warm & friendly people. Given the work in progress the price of the villa’s should probably be reflected in this period. Not all villa’s have a true ocean view as stated so would definitely check upon booking. Management are aware & note. When this is under Hilton management would recommend the hotel upgrade the toiletries to a luxury brand, thankfully I brought my L'Occitane products! 😊

Stayed here for my honeymoon in September and we absolutely LOVED it. The views are incredible- bare in mind theres not much to do around here apart from relax in the beautiful villa. The staff were so friendly and respectful. I informed them i have a gluten allergy so as long as i gave them a days notice, they could make me what i wanted from the menu (if possible) Would definitely stay again. Thank you to all of the staff. P.s, monkeys do visit so keep your doors shut and dont leave your valuables outside

Perfect and More then Perfect i would say. The property and the Villas are a charm and its so so beautiful. The staff is humble and cordial and they will take the extra mile to get you what you want. Its the best property in Bali we have stayed so far. Highly recommend it and would love to be back.

Stay away from this hotel until renovations are done!! During covid this hotel was most likely not taken care of/closed for 2 years and it shows. Lots of wear and tear on all parts of our villa and the resort property in general. Rust on doors and other hardware, rotting/fading stain on wood, poorly kept landscaping, warped floors, the list goes on. Hotel is currently under HUGE renovation under the Hilton brand who recently acquired the property. This is very unclear when booking which is pretty sleazy. Obviously on purpose so people still book. Pictures online look beautiful but don’t reflect current state of the hotel by any means. 2/3 of the restaurants are closed. The only food option that is open is their “fine dining restaurant” and it’s horrible and over priced. Some of the worst food I’ve had in Bali if I’m being honest. STAY AWAY and eat at a good local place near by. Overall not worth the price at the moment until they fix it up, open up the rest of their facilities, and improve their food quality.
