Jumanji

Jumanji is one of Tashkent’s longest-standing restaurants, with over 20 years of history. The menu is massive—practically a tome—featuring a wide-ranging mix of international, Uzbek, Chinese, and Japanese dishes, including sushi and sashimi. The food itself is average and not particularly memorable, but the real draw is the lively atmosphere. Expect a festive crowd, with singing, celebrations, and plenty of merriment. Smoking is allowed indoors, which may be a downside for some. Come for the vibes, not the cuisine.

Jumanji – is one of the oldest and few restaurants in Tashkent that offer and keep on high level delicious meals. We had good lunch here and we loved it. I haven’t been here for years, but there were many people inside for lunch during the weekday, i.e. it is still very popular. Though I would say that it would be good to have some renovations.. Looks too old and worn out, the atmosphere of the 90ies… However, the meals are excellent, so if having delicious food is all you need, then come straight here.

We've been trying out various restaurants for dinner this last few days, and decided to try Jumanji today. The first step inside itself was a clear indication that this place was exceptional! Beautifully laid out tables, a cozy interior, welcoming staff, the overall ambiance was amazing. To top it off, the menu that they placed on the table was very heavy, both in weight as well as in quality and quantity. I was stunned by the variety of dishes that they provided. We tried five of them, and each one was better than the other. The place is a little bit pricey but worth the money and time spent!

Very good food, huge selection of dishes to choose from the english menu. The service was the best we had in uzbekistan! It was the first time that we had a smiling waiter in Uzbekistan, his name was Elnur. The prices were a bit high but worth it.

Interesting place. As a former player and survivor of Jumanji, i was a bit hesitant to come here, but after seeing some of the other reviews i thought i'd give it a try. The cuisine was not what i would have guessed but it was pretty good. I very much enjoyed the fish. The service was acceptable.. though when we asked for the drink bill, they confused with us wanting another round of beer... Interesting interior, reminded me of when I got stuck playing the game

Came here as was recommended as a vegetarian. Compared to size of menu there wasn’t that many options and it wasn’t clear what exactly was vegetarian. Got a tofu dish and a spinach in fried bread and both were just ok. The sea buckthorn tea was very sweet. Don’t recommend it, had much better and less expensive meals in the city!

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice meal on our last night in Tashkent. The menu is huge so even though we are vegetarians, we found several dishes to eat, including many salad options and a sizzling tofu dish. The only negative is that several nearby tables had smokers.
